Despite the fact red carpet fashion choices at the 2012 SAG Awards ceremony weren’t as diverse and chic as those at previous glam events we had written about this year, we cannot say they were boring. There were a few looks that deserved your attention. For example, Michelle Williams’ red Valentino dress looked gorgeous. It showed the actress’ enviable figure and, complemented with Roger Vivier sandals and Lanvin bag, looked totally glamorous.

Lea Michelle, who has recently been announced as the new face of Candie’s, wore a luxurious and daring gown by Versace.

Jessica Chastain opted for a simple but very elegant custom dress from Calvin Klein Collection. To make her look more luxurious the 30-year-old accessorized with $2.5 million in Harry Winston jewels.

Glee star, Jayma Mays hit the red carpet of the 2012 SAG Awards in a chic Reem Acra gown.

Sofia Vergara looked mesmerizing in a sumptuous fuchsia Marchesa gown.

The Help star, Emma Stone appeared at the 2012 SAG Awards wearing an unusual custom Alexander McQueen dress which she paired with shoes and a bag from the same brand.

Armie Hammer arrived at the ceremony of the 2012 SAG Awards with his beautiful wife Elizabeth Chambers. Her dress was very simple but so lovely that it won my heart the first moment I saw it.

Emily Blunt rocked a bold one-shoulder gown from Oscar de la Renta‘s Resort 2012 collection. Maybe it wasn’t the most interesting dress on the red carpet but it turned quite a lot of heads.

Naya Rivera was also one of the best-dressed at the 2012 SAG Awards. Her delicate blue floor-length dress was fantastic.

Kelly Osbourne, who makes fashion faux pas rather often, this time, impressed us in a good way. Her white gown with eye-catching shoulder detail was lovely.

Dianna Agron is such a pretty girl. She can look great in everything, even in less interesting dresses than this one by Carolina Herrera!

Stacy Keibler, who arrived at the 2012 SAG Awards, with George Clooney looked feminine and attractive in her Marchesa gown.

Julianna Margulies looked stunning in a custom Calvin Klein Collection dress with rich embroidery.

Floral print has a tendency to come back every summer. During Spring/ Summer 2011 it was superhot. Nearly every designer made at least one outfit featuring it. Carolina Herrera’s collection was fully based on the concept of beauty of flowers.

For Spring/ Summer 2012 floral print is to be as trendy. This time Blumarine focused on the print and created the range which was literally blooming. Kaleidoscopic prints are new for us. In Spring/ Summer 2012 these prints will become great additions to daring fashionistas’ wardrobes. Betsey Johnson’s Spring 2012 fashion show wouldn’t have been as interesting and bright if Nicki Minaj hadn’t attended it. The girl looked funny and cute in her attire of a colorful dress with a tutu, huge white-and-blue wig and shoes.

At Carolina Herrera Spring 2012 fashion show Nicki Minaj appeared to be even more lively-looking. This time she opted for a knitted dress with a tangerine-colored skirt and a top made of vibrant pom poms, green leggings and checkered shoes. Of course the high wig finished the look.

This is the moment the Twilight fans have been waiting since the beginning of the franchise in 2008. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) will marry her sweetheart Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) in a wedding dress by Carolina Herrera in the new movie Breaking Dawn. The movie is due in November but the mystery of Bella’s wedding dress has been revealed. Carolina Herrera has great experience with wedding dresses and the twihards will also be granted an opportunity to sport Bella Swan’s wedding dress after the movie premieres.

The Bella Swan’s Carolina Herrera dress will sell exclusively at Alfred Angelo stores featured in size range between 0 to 30W. The exact price is not yet revealed but the dress will be in price range of dresses in Alfred Angelo regular bridal collection.

Twilight author Stephanie Meyer has told the press that:

It’s a simpler style than the frillier Edwardian stuff. Elegant white satin, cut on the bias, with long sleeves.

While Carolina Herrera spoke to US Weekly saying:

It is always a great pleasure to design any wedding gown, but this one was particularly special. Kristen is a stunning girl and her character, Bella, will make a beautiful bride.

As soon as the news appeared on Twitter millions of fans started commenting. Excited the fans were making numerous guesses on what the dress would look like. However, no specific details of the design of Bella’s wedding dress have been released so far.

In previous rumors Zac Posen was named as one of potential designers to create Bella Swan’s wedding gown but he immediately responded saying it wasn’t him but someone else.

When speaking about how her Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection was created Carolina Herrera mentioned that her inspiration in majority of cases came from real women she encountered in life rather than ‘moon or the stars’ or ‘books or a painting’.

She said:

I don’t get my inspiration from books or a painting. I get it from the women I meet.”

Carolina Herrera Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection is all about luxury and sophistication. Full skirts. For Spring/ Summer 2011 fashion season we see the return of full skirts that used to be hot in 1970s. And while some of us do not really consider these as sexy or interesting men have quite the contrary opinion. I like to start from the best things, so the best celebrity red carpet options were the following:

#1. Anna Kendrick’s floor-length gown by Marchesa. Very beautiful, very feminine and absolutely luxurious.

#2. Prada dress that helped Carey Mulligan top the best-dressed list of Harper’s Bazaar. This dress is definitely Carey’s best ever fashion choice.

#3. Diana Agron’s queen-worth dress that was designed by Carolina Herrera. Delicate lace, womanly silhouette and subdued chic tones.

#4. Taylor Swift’s glitzy blue sheath gown – my favorite among all Taylor’s dresses. The country music star wore it to the 2010 Grammy Awards.

#5. Armani Prive sumptuous gown that Jennifer Lopez donned to the 2010 Oscars was not only the most attention-grabbing dress of the evening, it was one of the most wonderful dresses Jennifer Lopez has ever worn.

#6. Halle Berry’s revealing dress looked incredibly sexy.

#7. And the last, but not the least beautiful gown was worn by Eva Longoria. Designed by Robert Rodriguez the dress was a real masterpiece.
