I would like to start from Emma Stone who has become one of my favorite actresses. She really deserves every award she receives and she always looks fabulous on the red carpet. At the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards she wasn’t honored but The Help movie she starred in was hugely praised. Emma wore an emerald green Jason Wu gown to the event.

Kirsten Dunst opted for a chic black dress from Christian Dior Spring/ Summer 2012 collection. She looked amazing.

Elle Fanning also was in attendance. She wore a floral-printed Rodarte gown to the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.

Black color was a hit at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. Evan Rachel Wood went for a black floor-length dress by Valentino which she teamed with shoes and a clutch from the same brand.

Young starlet Chloe Moretz turned heads with her chic Chanel dress.

Elizabeth Olsen appeared at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in a bright yellow Emilio Pucci dress which looked wonderful on her figure.

Charlize Theron wore a luxurious black Alaia gown to the ceremony. Bulgari accessories complemented her look nicely.

Dianne Kruger looked lovely at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in a long Prada dress. I think she is one of those celebrities who always looks good on the red carpet.

Michelle Williams, who was lucky to play gorgeous star of the past Marilyn Monroe, looked spectacular in a black-and-white dress by Chanel.

I couldn’t wait till the first image of Chanel Spring/ Summer 2012 ad campaign released. It was reported Freja Beha Erichsen, who used to be Karl Kagerfeld’s muse for five years in succession, would no longer star in it. That was good for me. I don’t like Freja’s androgynous look. Saskia de Brauw and especially Joan Smalls, who are the new faces of the brand, are much more feminine and attractive.

Describing Chanel Spring/ Summer 2012 ad campaign back in October Karl Lagerfeld said it would be “all about athletics and the sea… It’s very modern sportif and in black-and-white.” And now from two photos already leaked online we see what he meant. The campaign looks great. I like the change from chic to simplicity though I don’t really think such images can reflect Chanel’s luxurious Indian-inspired collection.

Photographed at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France the campaign looks rather understated with Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls on parallel bars. They look wonderful though, considering the fact it must have been really tense holding their own weight on hands only. Another photo features Saskia sailing by on a rope swing.

Karl Lagerfeld is reported to have found the new face for Chanel handbag campaign. And you would be surprised to know that it is the British model Alice Dellal, who is best known for her half-shaved head and being a member of a controversial all-girl rock group Thrush Metal.

Alice Dellal is said to be going to promote Chanel Spring/ Summer 2012 handbag collection. According to the rumors she has attracted attention of Karl Lagerfeld during a recent photoshoot.

If rumors confirm to be true Alice Dellal will follow in the footsteps of such big names as Vanessa Paradis, Claudia Schiffer, Nicole Kidman and Keira Knightley as well as Blake Lively, Lily Allen, and Diane Kruger who all used to be models for Chanel.

Despite being a model Alice Dellal confesses she isn’t into fashion much:

I wish I was more into clothes. I don’t know the current designers. My style used to be a tame version of me and it’s getting more and more drastic, and is probably going to get really really weird towards the end. Be afraid.”

Alice Dellal isn’t the only person in her family who works in the industry. Her sister, Charlotte, designs shoes for Sienna Miller and Kate Moss under the name Charlotte Olympia.

I don’t like Indian motifs, all those garments and loads of jewelry they usually wear both on the daily basis and for special events. I don’t, really. But fashion created by Karl Lagerfeld inspired by Indian culture is quite a different thing. It looks interesting and I literally examined every outfit of Chanel Pre-Fall 2012 collection. And I can tell you I was impressed.

Karl Lagerfeld, who was one of the first to present Pre-Fall 2012 collection, organized a show which resembled Indian fests, with plenty of food on tables, people laughing and enjoying themselves, beautiful women, including Indian models, walking around… It was grand and unusual, and it will definitely stay in our memories just like all incredible Chanel shows.

Speaking about clothing in Chanel Pre-Fall 2012 collection I can say it was based on basic Indian garment styles but Chanel feel remained, making the range modern and interesting for European and Western cultures.

Long, beautiful robes embellished with pearls, cropped pants made of shining fabrics, grey and white leggings to cover legs as well as many other elements of traditional Indian fashion went along with signature Chanel tweed suits and coats, and warm elegant dresses.

Jewelry abounded in Chanel Pre-Fall 2012 collection. Headpieces, nose rings, brooches, wrist items as well as numerous necklaces ranging from a few thin pearl threads to huge collar-shapes pieces looked amazing.

Shoes in Chanel Pre-Fall 2012 collection were all flat. The variety of styles ranged from open sandals often featuring shoes that weren’t alike in the same pair to comfy booties perfect for long walks.

Miranda Kerr looked fabulous in her optical illusion Peter Pilotto dress which she teamed with unusual Nicholas Kirkwood shoes.

The Green Lantern star Blake Lively opted for a full Chanel outfit. She looked very stylish but it was really unusual to see her in something which doesn’t expose her even a bit.

Young actress Chloe Moretz also arrived to The Museum of Modern Art’s 2011 Film Benefit in a Chanel creation. She wore a lovely beaded dress, lacy leggings and black pumps.

Crazy Stupid Love actress Emma Stone looked amazing in a floor-length floral-printed dress.

Ashley and Marie-Kate Olsen’s younger sister Elizabeth attended The Museum of Modern Art’s 2011 Film Benefit in an asymmetrical black-and-red dress.

Olivia Wilde was also in attendance. She chose a lovely dress which showed off her cleavage for the occasion.

The Fanning sisters look amazing on the cover of W Magazine December 2011 issue. Elle and Dakota pose together for a number of photographs inside the glossy. No bare bodies or provocative clothing but the images are as attractive as few can be. At least for me. To be sincere I was literally mesmerized with the photography.

The teenage stars sparkle on the W Magazine cover. Both are wearing dresses with luxurious golden embroidery and both look totally glamorous.

Several other pictures of Elle and Dakota Fanning feature them together. One pic shows us the two embraced, with lovely hats on their heads (Are those hats by Chanel?). On another Elle is whispering something very intriguing into her big sister’s ear. And the last demonstrates us a cute photo of the younger girl putting on lipstick on her elder sibling.

Elle and Dakota Fanning have also provided some interesting information for us to get to know them better. While Dakota was more serious and talked about her career and college, Elle opened up about boys and relationship with her sister.

Elle Fanning on relationship with Dakota: “She is a nice older sister. But it’s not like we always get along. Now that she’s going to college, it’s different. I went into her room at home in California, and all her clothes were gone! Her closet was empty! I don’t get to go in there and steal clothes anymore. It’s really strange. It’s sort of like she’s off making a movie, but this time she’s not coming back.”

Elle Fanning on her semi-love scene in Super 8: “I didn’t have to kiss him. But it was a boy-girl scene, and we had to like each other in the movie. All the other boys made fun of us because we had to like each other.”

Elle Fanning on her ballet classes: “Yes, five days a week. That’s something I always try to keep on my schedule. I would love to do a musical! Dakota did The Runaways, so she got to sing in that one.”

Elle Fanning on what she likes watching: Sometimes. We watch a lot of reality TV. My sister and I record Big Brother. We’re obsessed! And we love old game shows like Password and the original Family Feud. Also, me and my sister watch Criminal Minds. We record every episode, and we watch it every single night.”

Dakota Fanning on why she decided to go to college instead of focusing on career: “For the same reasons I wanted to go to a high school: You hear people say, ‘Oh, when I was in high school’ or ‘When I was in college.’ That defines a lot of who people are, and I didn’t want to miss out on that.”

Dakota Fanning on why she lives with her mother now: “No roommates. Because I’m only 17, my mom is staying with me in my apartment for a little bit. She’s teaching me how to wash clothes and such. But I’m so excited to be on my own. In my house in L.A., we all feel that everything is everybody’s, and so doors are never really closed. My sister and I share a bathroom, and when you have a sibling, nothing is actually your own. I’ve never really had anything or any place that was just mine.”

Dakota Fanning on being famous: “It’s all I’ve ever experienced, and it’s what I’m used to. When you’re 6 years old, which is when I started, I think you start forming how you think about things. I’ve dealt with being known for so long that it’s just kind of normal to me. And that attention comes with what I love to do, which is act.”

Dakota Fanning on how she deals with people who know she is a star: “I don’t know if I’ve ever gotten any formal advice, but I’ve always felt that you should never forget that you’re just a person. Even though you’re not like everyone else, you are just like everyone else. For instance, I met someone the other day, and they said, ‘Hi, I’m so-and-so.’ I said, ‘Hi, I’m Dakota.’ And they’re like, ‘Yeah, I know.’ But I can’t lose the fact that I still need to introduce myself to people even though they might already know my name or who I am. Oh, yeah, I guess you already know my name, but I’m going to say it anyway.”

Dakota Fanning on why she does acting: “I never have. It’s the only thing I feel like I know how to do well. I don’t really play any sports. [Laughs.] Maybe in college I’ll find something else to do if this doesn’t work out. But I’ve never wanted to do anything else.”

Taylor Swift looked stunning at the 2011 Country Music Awards held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The star, who was honored Entertainer Of The Year Award, wore a J. Mendel gown and Christian Louboutin shoes to the event. Lorraine Schwartz jewelry finished the look perfectly.

Another country music singer, LeAnn Rimes also attended the 2011 CMA. She looked classy in a glitzy Badgley Mischka dress that she paired with YSL shoes, and a Chanel bag.

Carrie Underwood appeared at the 2011 Country Music Awards rocking a gold dress by Reem Acra. That wasn’t her only dress for the evening. She changed two or three more outfits while hosting the event.

And the last woman who we can mention here was Nicole Kidman, who arrived to the 2011 CMA to support her husband Keith Urban. The couple looked beautiful posing together in front of the cameras. Nicole wore a strapless gown and shoes both by Jean Paul Gaultier.

Andrej Pejic (Know all about Andrej Pejic) and Ginta Lapina look like gorgeous twins posing for Numéro’s November issue [#128]. The two models both have straight blond hair, dark makeup and wear matching clothing by best designers in the industry: Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Chanel and more.

Styled by Charles Varenne both Andrej Pejic and Ginta Lapina look amazing. The picture with the two wearing LV midnight blue dresses with Peter-Pan collars is my favorite.

Being a true fan of Chanel I try to have a look at every piece, each creation by Karl Lagerfeld who has got an incredible talent of seeing the beauty in everything. For his Spring/ Summer 2012 collection the designer took sea as the main theme (Versace also did.). He transformed the Grand Palais into an underwater world with huge corals, shells, sea horses, and stingrays decorating it.

Chanel Spring/ Summer 2012 was very feminine and chic. Karl Lagerfeld used new fabrics which shone perfectly in the dim light of the place. Shapes weren’t always tight-fitting but even being loose they look good on a woman’s figure.

Boxy tweeds, drop waists, mille-feuille pleats were all in the Spring/ Summer 2012 Chanel collection. There were some weird elements too, for example, the dress with ruffles in shape of sea sponges.

But it was the accessories that I was attracted to in Chanel Spring/ Summer 2012 collection. Majority of bags were very Chanel – with chain handles and quilt detailing, while others looked amazing being all over adorned with pearls. By the way, pearls were used as belts and even to beautify models’ bodies.

I didn’t like the shoes though. Maybe their design ideally suited the theme of the collection but there was little lovely about them.
