Chic and elegant, exquisite and original, very Chanel-like, that’s what Chanel Fall/Winter 2008/09 haute couture collection is like. The collection was presented during the Paris Fashion Week and is really traditional on the one hand, and avant-garde, on the other. It’s very feminine. It’s something you can actually wear. Karl Lagerfeld chose gray as the leading color for his collection. Grey items were interspersed among black and dark gray ones, among rose pinks, magenta, mauve and golden tones. He presented famous Chanel suits, cocktail dresses and evening gowns with fringing, voluminous sleeves, pleated and corrugated folds. All natural fabrics and elegant silhouettes that’s what you can say about the catwalk show. The designer provided his models with more than unusual accessory – they were wearing rectangular and circular-shaped headpieces decorated with a camellia at the side.
