Now young designers were given a chance to try themselves and show us their vision of the Nineties grunge and the era’s fringe, flowers, beads and bell bottoms.

Surrounded by family and friends, Lindsay Lohan launched her new fashion collection 6126 at Henri Bendel in New York City on Monday evening (October 13).

LiLo, 22, happily posed for photographers, standing alongside guests including her little sister, Ali Lohan, and girlfriend Samantha Ronson’s sister, Charlotte.

The “Mean Girls” starlet had written about her new collection on her MySpace page earlier, telling,

I’m thrilled to announce that my new fashion collection, 6126 is finally ready for launch!!”

She said:

I love to wear leggings, so it should come as no surprise that my first venture into the world of fashion design is with leggings!” Talking about the meaning behind 6126, she noted, “I named the collection after Marilyn Monroe’s birth
date, because to me she represents timeless, confident glam -¬ and that is
 the voice of this brand.”

Samantha Ronson Lindsay’s girlfriend was noticeably absent from her side last night amid reports the couple have hit a rocky patch in their relationship.

Henri Bendel and Lindsay celebrated the line Monday night at the New York store. A percentage of all 6126 sales from the evening will be given to Ovarian Cancer Research – a cause that Lindsay says is, “very close to my heart.”

J. C. Penney Company, Inc. declared the launch of I “Heart” Ronson, a full femine’s fashion sportswear line designed by Charlotte Ronson to be sold exclusively at JCPenney.

The new fashion line, established for JCPenney’s trendy lifestyle consumer, will present in JCPenney stores, online at jcp.com, and via catalog for spring 2009.

JCPenney is focused on bringing newness and excitement into our fashion assortment, by identifying the world’s best designers and partnering with them to create lines just for our customer, at a smart price. The addition of I “Heart” Ronson is a stunning example of this initiative,” said Ken Hicks, president and chief merchandising officer of JCPenney. “Charlotte Ronson is one of today’s most innovative and adored new designers, and she has an exceptional vision of what our trendy customer wants. We are thrilled to be able to bring her unique style to JCPenney.”

An rationalizer in the fashion industry, Charlotte Ronson, 31,  is known for her trendsetting style, making her a favorite designer among the fashion industry, celebrities and socialites.

I “Heart” Ronson, which takes its awakening from today’s modern woman, mixes Ronson’s signature feminine touch with a vintage aesthetic to create  chic, downtown style without exertion.

I am delighted to create a new collection, I “Heart” Ronson for JCPenney. I see this as a great opportunity to open up my sense of fashion and style to a much wider audience,” said Charlotte Ronson. “This is a tremendous opportunity to create a brand with appeal to a diverse customer base that I might not have been able to reach until now. I look forward to our launch with great anticipation.”

Targeted at 21-35-year-old women, the line includes knit tops, tees, blouses, sweaters, jeans, skirts, dresses and jackets.

Prices are about $15 for layering tees and tank-tops, $26 to $44 for tops sweaters and jeans and $40 to $65 for dresses and jackets.

As well as her fashion design background, Ronson is known for being the sister of DJ and Lindsay Lohan gal-pal Samantha Ronson as well as DJ and music producer Mark Ronson.
