Designer Christian Audigier is currently working for Ed Hardy label. He has created lots of wonderful pieces we all love and has collaborated with a few big names including Jon Gosselin and… Michael Jackson when he was alive.
I did a collection when Michael was still alive that he was loving,” Audigier says.
It was a big mix between Liberace and Elvis Presley. I gave him the first catalog and he was just blown away.”
The collection includes a red jacket with Jackson’s portrait on it (a lovely one!), a black leather belt with large buckle with ‘BAD’ written on it, silver socks, silver gloves, and an umbrella.
Michael really wanted me to make an umbrella, I think it was because London is rainy,” says Audigier implying the planned world tour the pop star hadn’t done.
The line is ready but cannot be released as approval from Jackson’s estate is necessary:
I’m talking to the estate and trying to get a deal,” says the designer.
I hope they understand I was friends with Michael and this is what I want to do for Michael.”
