I would like to start from Emma Stone who has become one of my favorite actresses. She really deserves every award she receives and she always looks fabulous on the red carpet. At the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards she wasn’t honored but The Help movie she starred in was hugely praised. Emma wore an emerald green Jason Wu gown to the event.

Kirsten Dunst opted for a chic black dress from Christian Dior Spring/ Summer 2012 collection. She looked amazing.

Elle Fanning also was in attendance. She wore a floral-printed Rodarte gown to the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.

Black color was a hit at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. Evan Rachel Wood went for a black floor-length dress by Valentino which she teamed with shoes and a clutch from the same brand.

Young starlet Chloe Moretz turned heads with her chic Chanel dress.

Elizabeth Olsen appeared at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in a bright yellow Emilio Pucci dress which looked wonderful on her figure.

Charlize Theron wore a luxurious black Alaia gown to the ceremony. Bulgari accessories complemented her look nicely.

Dianne Kruger looked lovely at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in a long Prada dress. I think she is one of those celebrities who always looks good on the red carpet.

Michelle Williams, who was lucky to play gorgeous star of the past Marilyn Monroe, looked spectacular in a black-and-white dress by Chanel.

Am I the only one unaware of the fact Mila Kunis has become the face of Dior Spring/ Summer 2012 campaign? Hope not… So, guys, it was a great surprise, a pleasant one actually, for me to know the Black Swan star has signed with Christian Dior brand. And today two images have already been released.

Mila Kunis looks really beautiful on the photos promoting Spring/ Summer 2012 collection. She wears a simple but sophisticated black dress, a pair of sandals and a classy watch. She also holds a stylish handbag with a chain handle in hand. Another picture features Mila in a black outfit with a snakeskin bag on her shoulder. Minimal makeup and simple hairdo complete the looks ideally.

Dior deputy general manager Delphine Arnault explained why they chose Mila to represent the brand during Spring/ Summer 2012 season:

“Mila Kunis is a very talented young actress; she embodies the true modern woman. Her performance in ‘Black Swan’ was remarkable. She is very gifted. We are looking forward to a long relationship with her.”

Miss Kunis commented on her new venture:

I’m honestly just learning about fashion. In my daily life, I don’t wear the most feminine pieces. But I love to feel feminine when I’m on the red carpet. I find that Dior is an incredibly grounded house. I always thought what Dior does is so sophisticated, feminine and beautiful.”

She added speaking about how the photoshoot was being done:

They made me feel incredibly comfortable. I can’t say it was the hardest thing to do.”

Designers have presented plenty of dresses in their Spring/ Summer 2012 collections. Some are simple and minimalistic in design, others are more elaborate and even pompous. Each dress is different but each has certain beauty and attraction. We’ve looked through dozens collections to pick out these TOP 100 DRESSES and hope you like them just as much as we do.

I have nothing personal against Raf Simons and I recognize his talent of creating minimalistic fashion. But position at Dior is quite different from what he usually does. Dior is all about luxury and pompousness. Raf Simon doesn’t fit in at all. Unless Dior is going to change…

However, talks between Raf Simons and Dior seems to be pretty serious, so probably in a couple of seasons we would see the new Dior. The 43-year-old designer is currently busy working for Jil Sander. And according to reports he has recently extended his contract with the brand for an unknown duration. So, Spring 2012 couture and Fall 2012 fashion collections for Christian Dior will still be created by Bill Gaten.

By ‘classic’ hat we imply fedora hat or a wide brim hat. Both these style are absolute hits this season and designers presented them in a huge variety. So, we definitely have a lot to choose from.

My favorite fedoras come in Kenzo and Laura Biagiotti Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collections. They look fantastic and are easy to wear with almost any type of clothing. Fedora is the most versatile hat style of all.

Wide brim hats are even more popular during Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 fashion season than fedora hats. Gucci, Dsquared2, Reiss, Monsoon, Miss Sixty, Christian Dior and other designers and brands have offered their vision of this type of a hat.

Miss sixty hats are made of luxurious fabric which looks similar to velvet, Nina Ricci trimmed hats with fur and changed the shape of brims. Lanvin hats have very wide and stiff brims, and Dior hats are softer and more feminine.

Wide brim hats are also very versatile. You can wear them with chic classic coats or free spirited Bohemian outfits.

Winter 2012 Scarf Trend #1: Snoods. Snoods are very trendy this season. They are warm, comfortable and look good. Choose brighter colors to freshen up your outfit or go for pastel tones to make your look elegant.

Winter 2012 Scarf Trend #4: Pastel and dark colors. During Winter 2012 pastel colors as well as dark brown and black are very trendy. These tones are neutral that makes them really multifunctional. No matter what your outfit’s color is such a scarf will finish it ideally.

Anne Hathaway must have felt really honored at Princess Grace Awards Gala posing together with Princess Charlene of Monaco. Both ladies looked amazing on the red carpet. While Princess Charlene wore a luxurious lacy floor-length Christian Dior gown Anne kept her outfit simple. The 28-year-old actress sported a demure nude dress adorned with crystals, pumps in the matching color and dangling diamond earrings.

Victoria Beckham’s fashion empire is growing pretty fast and her profits are becoming more and more impressive. This year Posh has earned more than £60 million ($96 million) from her eponymous label. And with her new line Victoria by Victoria Beckham the number will be even higher the next year.

Tiffany & Co have joined Christian Louboutin‘s fight for trademark colors. While the shoe designer tries to win the right to be an exclusive producer of red soles the jewellery company demands that blue boxes are their own trademark and no one could copy those.

Louboutin’s lawyer told WWD:

We are enormously pleased that Tiffany has weighed in. Tiffany has not only agreed with our arguments, but it also put forth arguments that strengthened the case and made the point that the [earlier] decision should be reversed.”

However Tiffany’s lawyer is more careful about his comments:

Tiffany is not taking sides in this dispute. We are only trying to assure that this area of the law is not disturbed by an overbroad decision in the lower court.”

Louis Vuitton is planning to release their first fragrance. The company has already hired Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, who is a third-generation perfumer from Grasse, France, to work on the perfume starting from January next year. It will not be the first Louis Vuitton fragrance in history but the brand hasn’t released any since the 1920s.

Miu Miu have invited an older model to pose in their Resort 2012 ad campaign – Guinevere van Seenus. The beauty has come to substitute teenage actress Hailee Steinfeld at the position. The ad looks very fresh and beautiful.

Christian Dior’s sales rose up 27 per cent within the period of the first nine months of 2011 compared to the same period of 2010. Experts explain the sudden boost by the great attention of the public to the label since John Galliano’s dismissal. They say “all press is good press”.

Leighton Meester does not often get onto lists of best-dressed celebrities but from time to time she chooses really stunning outfits. The white ruffle Dior dress she wore to the Christian Dior Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion show was amazing and looked perfect on the actress. She teamed it up with a pair of cute Louis Vuitton pumps and a Promenade bag.

Leighton Meester was just one of the stars in attendance at the Christian Dior Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion show but she definitely was one of the most attractive.

I can’t say my expectations were high about Christian Dior Spring/ Summer 2012 collection since I was a great fan of John Galliano’s creations. But I still thought some drama in the label’s collections would preserve. It didn’t. And I’m disappointed. I’m in no way saying the range was bad or plain. But it was simply good. Nothing really outstanding and nothing I would praise much.

Bill Gayten, who used to be Galliano’s right hand, did everything to keep Christian Dior at the place it was. He kept the idea of femininity and classic silhouette, paid much attention to details and organized a lovely show. But when I watched the models walking the runway I couldn’t get rid of the feeling something significant was missing. Maybe it was the genuine love to woman’s beauty or something else, but without it the collection didn’t impress.

Christian Dior Spring/ Summer 2012 collection featured a great variety of pretty delicate dresses in lovely colors. Frills, sheer fabrics, floral patterns and embroidery made the range look beautiful. Skirt suits looked classy and coats with cute bows were amazing. But majority of cocktail dresses were not Dior chic. They looked plain and sometimes even uglified models’ figures.
