Coco Rocha has always been different from other model girls. She has unique looks, strong personality, confidence to express her own opinion and an incredible talent to show her beauty in an unusual way. But if you think you know everything about her you are definitely mistaken. For example, do you know that Rocha can design jewelry? She has unveiled her first, and hope not the last, jewelry collection today in which every piece is more work of art than an ordinary jewelry piece.

Coco Rocha has worked under collaboration with a charitable organization Senhoa, which is based in Cambodia and intended to rescue and rehabilitate young women from the sex-trafficking trade. All the profits from the sale of Rocha’s jewelry collection will go towards the cause.

The pieces in Coco Rocha’s jewelry collection are all elaborate and bold, each a statement maker. And while they look really luxurious the prices are very reasonable starting at $65 for a bracelet, and up to $200. The only piece that is much more expensive is the $995 Rachany choker.

Speaking about how the collaboration was started Coco Rocha said:

Over the course of the next year [I] wore Senhoa jewelry pieces at various red carpet events. As I learned more about the issue of human trafficking and heard the particular stories of these girls that Senhoa assists I knew I wanted to do something more. So we decided that a jewelry collaboration was a great way to lend my voice to the cause.”

Rocha also added that she wanted to make the collection that would reflect her personal aesthetic:

I’m very picky about the jewelry I like to wear so this collection definitely reflects my personal aesthetic. I wanted to create a very fashion forward collection, but still incorporate the wonderful beading work the Senhoa women are known for. I also tried to create pieces that symbolize the Senhoa girl who is being empowered through the program.”

The Canadian model commented on why some of her jewelry pieces cost a lot of money:

I think when people learn about the wonderful cause these pieces support, they won’t feel bad about spending money. Our motto is “accessorize your conscience” and really, no one has a reason to feel guilty for treating themselves to one of these pieces!”

Let’s just remember Gisele Bundchen in Devil Wears Prada, Rosie in Tranformers, Sasha Pivovarova played a role in upcoming movie In Time (To be released on Oct.28) and Daria Strokous made an appearance in upcoming thriller Contagion (Out on September 9). Besides, Miranda Kerr is rumored to be cast for a movie by Harvey Weinstein and Crystal Renn also wanted to add acting experience to her resume (She’s model and a writer.) Lara Stone is the latest of models who expressed intentions to become an actress, too. Lara says singing isn’t for her but acting might be interesting.

In an interview for Vogue UK she revealed:

I would love to be in Zoolander 2. I’d be so good at that ‘Blue Steel’ pose. I think I’d enjoy doing that, it’d be funny. I’d like to try acting if the right part came along, but I’m not actively looking — I’m pretty busy at the moment. I definitely could never go into singing at all ever though, unless it was for a huge joke. I don’t even sing in the shower. Actually the other day I was in the shower and I didn’t realise my husband was in, and I sang away to myself. I got out and he gave me the most disdainful look.”

So, who’s next? I think Coco Rocha will be a really good actress. She can express different emotions wonderfully and every shoot she does is like a little performance. I do hope she’s considering to try acting. Freja Beha Erichson can be an interesting movie personality. And I would love to see Lily Donaldson in a film.

Wearing an outfit from Chloe the Canadian model looks very comfortable. In Alexander McQueen she is a romantic beauty. Ralph Lauren and Erdem creations make Coco Rocha look chic and elegant while D&G dress transforms her into a young party girl.

Playing dozens roles for Elle Magazine August 2011 edition Coco Rocha still preserves a lot form herself. She is still that funny, cheerful and very artistic girl.

Coco Rocha, who is to represent Marc Jacobs Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection, is reported to give her consent to do the campaign for the brand if a no retouching policy is respected. Very praiseworthy decision.

Maybe soon, if it becomes a trend, we’ll see someone less gorgeous than Coco Rocha without being photoshopped, too? What do you think?

Made of exquisite fabrics the dresses look really impressive. Coming in a variety of noble colors the gowns are detailed with frills, pleats, and embroidery.

The photoshoot showcasing Zac Posen Resort 2012 collection isn’t boring at all thanks to Coco Rocha’s sense of humor and ability to make people of all statuses laugh. She clearly enjoyed the time posing in front of the camera.

Emma Watson received Style Icon Award. The Harry Potter actress commented:

It feels amazing. Fashion is something that I love. I try not to think about it too much. I try and block all that off and I just do what I love and just have fun with it. I’ve definitely been feeling the pressure a bit more recently but it’s just fun for me.”

Natalie Portman, who missed the event due to her pregnancy, was named the Best Actress while Blake Lively received Best TV Star award. Blake looked beautiful on the red carpet wearing one of Emilio Pucci gorgeous designs.

Tom Ford was awarded the International Designer at Elle Style Awards 2011. He deserves it, no doubt. I’m glad he’s returned to womenswear. He’s good at it.

The title of British Designer was given to Christopher Kane Courtney. Congratulations!!!

Coco Rocha was named the Best Model. And Outstanding Contribution to Fashion went to Helena Christensen.

Noomi Rapace was honored the Next Breakthrough Talent while the Best Accessory Designer award was presented to Emma Hill.

Cheryl Cole, who appeared at 2011 Elle Style Awards wearing a red-hot floor-sweeping dress, was given Best Music accolade.

Dominic Jones received Best Jewellery Designer and Meadham Kirchoff was awarded with Next Young Designer.

Very colorful, very bright – Coco Rocha’s pictorial for Elle Italy January 2011 issue looked great. It seemed that the most interesting items from designers and brands like Balenciaga, Jil Sander, Max Mara, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Versace, Zac Posen were all collected here.

To tell you the truth I was surprised how pretty the Balenciaga suit looked on Coco Rocha. When I was watching the Balenciaga Spring/ Summer 2011 runway show I thought that no one would ever be able to combine their creations with normal clothing. But Elle stylists could and did it perfectly.

Beth Ditto appeared at the catwalk in a laser-cut silver dress with plenty of the strips rippling over her body. She looked very confident and proud of herself. As Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/ Summer 2011 show went on other models followed including Crystal Renn, Natasha Poly, Coco Rocha and Sasha Pivovarova.

Clothing was designed fantastically. Despite the fact I do not usually like what Jean Paul Gaultier makes  I did love the Spring/ Summer 2011 collection. Lots of outfits were pretty wearable, and I can even say you don’t need much imagination to look cool in these.

Jean Paul Gaultier revived the strong shoulders on jackets which looked amazing. Lots of sheer fabrics, lace and corsets looked very sexy while the floral-printed dress with a puffy skirt was a really feminine piece.  And I absolutely admired the two-colored red-and-black shoes.

Photographed by Tesh Coco Rocha wears luxurious pieces from best world designers. Fur jacket paired with a knitted dress, a tie and a white blouse looks extraordinary but so beautiful. The red hat is gorgeous, especially when matched with a serpent necklace.

Metallic headwear reminds me of a chain mail that was worn by knights to protect their heads from injury. And Coco Rocha’s dramatic lips look perfect.

As you know Lagerfeld has designed the bottle himself and of course it was he who made the shoot for the campaign. Coco Rocha is featured as the femme version of the Chanel designer and she definitely looks interesting.

This is what the model says about the shoot:

Karl designed the bottle with his iconic silhouette on the side and then dressed me as the femme version of him. I remember at one point in the shoot Karl didn’t think I had on the right accessories so he stopped the shoot and headed home to bring me a pair of his own gloves and then took off his tie pin and rings for me to wear!”
