Scarlett, who looks really tanned on the cover of Cosmopolitan January 2012 edition, gives a candid interview about her personal life. She talks about her attraction to bad boys, on how difficult relationships are, and what it feels like being along.

Scarlett Johansson on playing roles based on her looks: “As a 19-year-old girl, I was eager to play into that. Why not? You’re 19 and you’re feeling fabulous and young. I don’t know that I could have sold myself as a character actor at 19.”

Scarlett Johansson on attraction to bad boys: “I’m attracted to the quality of being adventurous and perhaps a bit mischievous and also questioning authority and being proactive. If that makes up a quintessential bad boy, then whatever. I’m not at all attracted to meanness or bullying, but I do think conviction is attractive. I mean, really, who doesn’t?”

Scarlett Johansson on getting married to Ryan Reynolds: “I’m a big believer that when something feels right, you should do it. I’m a big believer in instinct. Getting married was the right thing to do because it was natural. It grew out of a romance and love and a desire to have a future with somebody, and I was very fortunate that I married somebody who turned out to be the person I thought he would be.”

Scarlett Johansson on how complicated a marriage can be: “Relationships are complicated and being married is a living, breathing process. I think I was not fully aware of the peaks and the valleys. I wasn’t prepared to hunker down and do the work.”

Scarlett Johansson on the lesson she’s learned: “You have to be very confident an dsolid within yourself to have a successful marriage.”

Scarlett Johansson on how she feels being alone: “It’s strange. I’ve never been single for a chunk of time before. You miss having a partner and a confidant, but I have to say, I’m appreciating having the time to get to know myself.”

In the interview for Cosmopolitan Australia June 2011 Kim Kardashian says she is proud of her body and likes her bottom. She also mentions that she has never had any plastic surgery and used Botox just once.

Kim Kardashian on where her famous derriere comes from: “I’m half Armenian, so the butt really comes from my dad’s side of the family. It’s a little bit bigger so you do have to work out more. I do squats and lunges. I try to do whatever I can to work out. It’s all real.”

Kim Kardashian on plastic surgery and ‘butt implants’: “I’m proud of my booty and it’s all mine. I have not had cosmetic surgery.”

Kim Kardashian on using Botox: “I tried Botox once, but I have not had my nose done or anything done to my butt. No injections I’m very happy with the way I am.”

Lea Michele told Cosmopolitan:

Everyone thinks that everyone is sleeping with everyone. We spend every minute of every day together and when we’re finished we all go out to dinner, so of course they think we’re hooking up. I’m thankful that it doesn’t happen. If people hooked up there would be awkward tensions.”

I’m the ugly sister. I’m the fat one. I’m the transvestite.I have had those mean things said about me at least twice a day for the last five years. It’s horrible, you know? But I can brush that stuff off. Kim and Kourtney have said to me, ‘If we were put under the same negative attention that you are, we couldn’t handle it.’ If I want to wear a long flowing dress, someone will say I’m pregnant. Kim Kardashian on cellulite: “I have cellulite. So what! I’ve never claimed to be perfect. It’s crazy anyone should assume that just because you’re in the spotlight, you’re flawless.”

Kim Kardashian on her love to ice-cream: “Sometimes I pig out and I still feel great, and think, “That was so worth it!” That’s how I feel a lot of the time. I think, “See this little dimple of cellulite here? It was so worth it for that cookies ’n’ cream ice cream!”

Kim Kardashian on eating habits: “If I was stuck on a diet my whole life, I would be really miserable. I love to eat. If you can’t enjoy your life then what’s the point? You can’t torture yourself. I love Rice Krispies Treats, ice cream and frozen yogurt.”

Kim Kardashian on body standards: “I never aspired to be a size zero. Although one time I tried on a dress with a size-8 label when I thought I was a size 4. It turned out it was a UK size 8, so actually it was my normal size. But it made me think, “Why do I even care?” I couldn’t care less if it said 14. It’s just a number. Your best measure is to look in the mirror. I always say you shouldn’t weigh yourself. I don’t even have a set of scales in my house.”

Kim Kardashian on people’s attitude to her curvaceous figure: “I see ridiculous stories about my butt, like how it has been insured. I feel like saying, “Hey, everyone has a butt. It’s not that big a deal!” But I suppose it’s flattering. Personally, I’ve always loved the curvy look. Even when I was a little girl and all my friends would be like, “Oh, my god, your butt’s so big”. And I’d say, “I love it”.”

Kim Kardashian on body differences in her family: “Khloé is super-tall, with great legs; Kourtney is tiny with a great stomach. We embrace the fact that no one is really alike. Our parents always made us feel like, “This is who we are, we’re all beautiful and this is exactly how we’re supposed to be”. We never had any pressure to look different and I think that’s why we’re so confident about it today.”

Kim Kardashian on how she felt seeing her body growing and developing: ‘Kourtney would always make fun of me for having bigger boobs than she did. When you’re young, it’s embarrassing. Your body is changing and it’s scary. Then when I was 15, I realised it was great. I’ve never wished for smaller boobs since.”
