I would like to start from Emma Stone who has become one of my favorite actresses. She really deserves every award she receives and she always looks fabulous on the red carpet. At the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards she wasn’t honored but The Help movie she starred in was hugely praised. Emma wore an emerald green Jason Wu gown to the event.

Kirsten Dunst opted for a chic black dress from Christian Dior Spring/ Summer 2012 collection. She looked amazing.

Elle Fanning also was in attendance. She wore a floral-printed Rodarte gown to the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.

Black color was a hit at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. Evan Rachel Wood went for a black floor-length dress by Valentino which she teamed with shoes and a clutch from the same brand.

Young starlet Chloe Moretz turned heads with her chic Chanel dress.

Elizabeth Olsen appeared at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in a bright yellow Emilio Pucci dress which looked wonderful on her figure.

Charlize Theron wore a luxurious black Alaia gown to the ceremony. Bulgari accessories complemented her look nicely.

Dianne Kruger looked lovely at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in a long Prada dress. I think she is one of those celebrities who always looks good on the red carpet.

Michelle Williams, who was lucky to play gorgeous star of the past Marilyn Monroe, looked spectacular in a black-and-white dress by Chanel.

My list has just 7 positions but they definitely deserve to be mentioned here. So, let’s start.

#1. Angelina Jolie and her blood red Valentino gown. The 35-year-old star wore this designer creation to the premiere of her latest movie Salt in Moscow. The actress looked fabulous and no wonder all the attention was hers!

#2. Scarlett Johansson and her super chic Dolce & Gabbana dress. The strapless piece looked perfect on the curvy Iron Man 2 actress. Lace trimming added femininity to the look while the tiny black belt complemented to the elegantce of the dress.

#3 Next comes my favorite actress Sarah Jessica Parker and the lettuce-green Valentino dress she donned to the premiere of Sex and the City 2. I don’t really lke the dress much but the color is almost neon. So, this frock should be on my list.

#4. Rachel Weisz and her vibrant pink gown. The actress I started to recognize after I saw Agora film looked perfect in her bright piece at 2010 MET Awards. Very talented and incredibly beautifl girl.

#5. Ginnifer Goodwin got to the fifth position thanks to her saturated blue assymetrical dress which she wore to 2010 Critics Choice Awards. Simple but sophisticated.

#6. Katy Perry and her mermaid strapless gown. The singer is known for her flawless fashion sense and at 2010 Oscars she once again proved to everyone she was worth being called one of most stylish women in the world.

#7. Lea Michelle closes my Brightest Dresses of 2010 list with her sunny yellow dress. The Glee star opted for this piece to wear to 2010 Tony Awards.

Screen Actors Guild Awards celebrity style

The 2009 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) kicked off at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday evening (January 25 2009).

There were a lot of expensive gowns in vivid shades of red, blue, yellow, black and white and everything in between.

My particular favourite was Penelope Cruz. She looked stunning in a classic floor-length backless Azzaro gown, with black clutch.

Kate Winslet was wearing the colour of the season – electric blue.

The British actress was amazing in fab Narciso Rodriguez body-con gown. She made her look even greater with Chopard jewels.

Claire Danes chose the asymmetrical red dress by Nina Ricci that perfectly accented her flexible dancer’s body. She completed her look with Fred Leighton jewels and Jimmy Choo heels.

Evan Rachel Wood prefered to dress Monique Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2009 off-the-shoulder gown.

She accessorized the gown with an eagle brooch, which looks great with the rest of her antique looking jewelry. On her feet were the purple Sergio Rossi heels. She took a matching clutch.

Andrea Bowen was so pretty in her chocolate dress.

The main trends in SAG 2009 were one shoulder gowns and grecian style. And of course, there were a lot of strapless dresses.

Christina Applegate

The 37-year-old Christina Applegate dressed an emerald green Emanuel Ungaro gown and finished off her style with a Daniel Swarovski clutch and Lorraine Schwartz diamonds.

Teri Hatcher posed in white Monqiue Lhuillier Pre-Fall 2009 gown.

Eva Longoria and Rosario Dawson

Eva Longoria in Jenny Packham Spring 2009 dress.  Rosario Dawson was in white Dolce & Gabbana mermaid gown.

Angelina Jolie wore Max Azria Spring 2009 gown.

Marcia Cross and Anne Hathaway

Carolina Herrera strapless gown was on Marcia Cross. The actress Anne Hathaway wore a white Azzaro gown with belt and crystal embellished neckline.

Freida Pinto came in a pale blue Marchesa gown with Roger Viver box clutch, and Martin Katz jewels.

Best Angle Dressed Red Carpet Celeb.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt appeared on the red carpet despite their busy schedule.

Angelina Jolie looked as stunning as never before with an asymmetrical free-flowing Max Azria Spring 2009 gown on, slicked back hair, Stuart Weitzman shoes, Mikimoto jewels, and a Herve Leger clutch, and simplistic make-up. She was like an angel.

Best Dress Decor Red Carpet Celeb.

Eva Longoria was elegant and fresh in halter teal Monique Lhuillier Spring 2009 dress and nude Christian Louboutin pumps though the yellow clutch looked a bit ridiculous in that image.

The color and embellished details on the halter-neck and waist really make her glow.

Best Contrast Dressed Red Carpet Celeb.

Anne Hathaway looked amazing in another Gianfranco Ferré Spring 2009 collection dress (it’s becoming a rule to see her in exactly this collection garments).

The black side stays sharp while the ivory side dominates with wavy folds. The image is completed with circle earrings, a gold buckled belt, and as it was presented on the runway, and black peep-toes.

Best Ridiculous Dressed Red Carpet Celeb.

The red bright carpet was darkened by Marisa Tomei!

The strapless black dress from Giambattista Valli Fall 2006 collection didn’t fit her at all! The length is just something that shortened her completely. Though the dress itself is the work of art! I only liked her earrings, clutch and heels in black.

Best Style-Keeping Red Carpet Celeb.

Katy Perry was in keeping with her style in Dolce & Gabbana vintage seafoam green silk gown. The fur cape added glamour to the image for sure. A bold cocktail ring, diamond studs, and throwback hairdo gave the just-correct-completeness of her cheeky look.

Best Navy Blue Dressed Red Carpet Celeb

Penelope Cruz knows what she shines best in! She looked calm and beautiful in a long navy blue gown. A black clutch and simple jewels finished the image.

Best Elegant Combo Dressed Red Carpet Celeb

Kate Beckinsale is one of the best dressed celebs on the red carpet.

She showed off a curve-hugging, floor-length brown J.Mendel Pre-Fall 2009 gown. It’s so elegant and magnetic at the same time and the pleated bodice adds some drama, as do her earrings and bangles. Her make up and hairdo made for the perfect combo.
