I think this is the first time when nearly all clothes from the collection are shown in an advert. DKNY have decided to include as many garments as possible to demostrate the chic and luxury they created for us.

There are four pictures that feature eight models wearing outfits from Spring-Summer 2010 range. Each photo presents clothes of a certain style and coloring. The first one shows pretty coctail dresses, classy suits, fabulous and lovely handbags. The flower patern is going to be hot this season.DKNY Spring Summer 2010 Ad Campaign 1

At the second picture we see garments of steet style, those one would like to wear every day. They are comfortable and look good.

The third photo shows girls wearing draped blouses in style of a Grecian Goddess. I can’t say I like those but still the picture looks nice.

Alexa Chung is not new to fashion industry. She has walked the catwalk for Vivienne Westwood and modelled for DKNY and British chain New Look. And although she now works as the British TV presenter fashion is very interesting for her.

So, it comes as no surprise that she finaly agreed to collaborate with the chain retailers to create her own fashion range.

The 26-year-old said:

I was being offered so many collaborations for a long time, but I held off. I thought it was quite a ’sellout’ thing to do.”

Alexa isn’t going to be just a spokesperson for the line.

The brand’s chairman Millard Drexler told WWD:

There is no grand scheme to this, and we still don’t want to hire a celebrity spokesperson.It’s just that Alexa is totally cool. It’s not the way she looks or dresses. It’s the way she is.”

The upcoming range is to be inspired by Alexa’s personal style. It will include dungaree dresses, high-waisted skinny jeans, polka dot tea dresses and oversized wool jackets.

Why her wardrobe choices are so important? Because last year Alexa was named the most stylish woman by Vogue!

DKNY or New York luunched its first line in 1989 and now through 21 years it doesn’t stop and show new line at New York Fashion Week in Greenwich Village.

Trees grow in Brooklyn and flowers grow on the DKNY runway.

named her new Spring/Summer 2010 line a “City in Bloom” and collection played pastels off a multitude of floral, consist of amazing small peonies and spray of floral-camo and bright prints that were definitely less so.

Navy silk was adorned with floral prints and sequins, or monochromatic dresses shaped red graphic rose prints, also there were sash-waisted romper suits, black-and-white scribble-blossom skirt suit.

DKNY Jeans is the brand created by American designer .

While the name DKNY Jeans may lead some to believe the brand is only about denim, it has a wide range of T-shirts, jackets, skirts, sweaters, tops, bags and belts.

DKNY shows off its new collection for Autumn/Winter 2009-2010, which is the newest collection of the established New York-based brand uniting various pieces, fusion and spreading the edges between mannish to womanly, dark to light and mix in colors and materials.

Brasilian sexy model and spokesperson for many popular brands, Gisele Bundchen covers April 2009 cover issue of Harper’s Bazaar. The photoshoot was made by famous photographer Peter Lindbergh.

has co-operated with the iconic New York label Jeans to design the new line named Femme for Jeans.

“One of the hardest things is to come up with a name. But I think Femme works really well and explains the line perfectly as feminine but tough all at the same time. It’s aggressive, but in a good way.” – Hilary explained the chose of the collection’s name.

Hilary is not the first to work with the famous brand. Her forerunner was Rachel Bilson who successfully launched the Edie Rose for Jeans Collection.

The Jeans Company has signed Duff for two seasons — “fall and holiday — with the option to extend the agreement depending on performance.”

The partnership was a natural choice for Hilary, who made sure she was picking the right partner.

“I took time finding the right fashion house to collaborate with in a design partnership,” she says. “I have always adored and worn jeans, so it made perfect sense to reach out to them. We hit it off immediately, sharing a design vision offering something special for young women like me.”

Lifting the veil about the new line, Duff commented:

“There’s a pair of denim jeans with two different-size belt loops — one for a small belt and one for a large, so the wearer can switch up her belt options each time she wears them. There’s also a sweater that comes with a removable cowl-neck, a T-shirt with a removable chain necklace, a butterfly-printed knit wrap sweater made extra long in the front to be easily wrapped as a scarf and a layering camisole with crystal details on the straps, which are meant to be seen when layered correctly.”

“I love the idea that the collection reaches a lot of people and provides them with so many different options,” Hilary kept telling, “There is truly something in this line for every girl whose styles change every day, like mine does. I think it’s the perfect line for young girls who can’t afford to buy a lot of clothes these days.”

The collection features an array of sportswear pieces which wholesales between $19.50 for a T-shirt and $64 for outerwear and consists of about 10 to 12 pieces for each delivery. The retail price will range from $39 for a tee to $129 for an outwear piece.

The line will be already available this August at stores, Macy’s, Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom.

Daisy Lowe’s star keeps on rising. Having modelling for a few years now, and strutted her stuff at a number of shows at London Fashion Week Show, she’s now turned to advertising.

Last year we saw her sizzling for Agent Provocateur, and now she stars the ad campaign for DKNY.

Daisy poses in the middle of a New York street wearing a mini playsuit in stonewash denim, classic aviator shades and white lace up boots. In the background there are yellow cabs and ‘Don’t Walk’ signs that even make the pic more impressive and at the same time so much casual!

It is no wonder the shoot is so successful: Daisy was snapped by Scott Schuman, who is better known as The Sartorialist.

Shuman has perfectly made plenty of photos depicting everyday life, where he literally snaps passers-by with beautiful results.

Joining Daisy in the campaign is a mix of models, artists and musicians including Chanel Iman, Kelly Osbourne, Sean Lennon and fiancé Luc Worrell.

Patti Cohen, executive vice president of marketing and communications for Donna Karan International, said the campaign reflects everything that Karan thinks about when she thinks of denim.

“Donna always says that jeans are not about a season, but rather part of your skin, something you can’t live without,” Cohen said. “So we wanted to make a personal statement about jeans and fashion and Scott seemed so perfect to shoot this. He brings such a freshness to street style.”

Daisy is obviously on her way to super stardom, this is her third big campaign this Spring following her Pringle and Marc Jacobs shoots. She’s believed to be competing for Agyness Deyn’s title as hottest Brit It-model soon. Good job, girl!

American Beauty , graces on the February 2009 edition of UK’s Harper’s Bazaar.


In the magazine she speaks about her life with the husband, a British actor, Paul Bettany, and her role in the upcoming romantic comedy He’s Just Not That Into You.

In this movie she stars together with Scarlett Johannson, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore.

looks terrific on the cover as well as at all the catwalks demonstrating the best designers’ collections.

When walking at the runway for Jennifer looks pretty elegant in that white mini dress with chiffon sleeves.

For example, when modeling for Francesco Scognamiglio she looks fresh and chic. Unusual designs and bright vivid colors create a nice image of the girl. Besides, her make-up and long, a bit wavy hair make her look romantic.

When showing off Balenciaga garments the model looks slim and girlish. She appears to be much younger than she really is.
