Madonna and Dolce&Gabbana strengthen their collaboration with the new venture – eyewear collection. The line will include six styles and each will have a MDG logo, with M standing for Madonna and DG for the brand.

The collaboration is interesting for both Dolce & Gabbana and the singer.
Stefano Gabbana says in the interview for WWD:
We’re so excited. This further strengthens our relationship with Madonna, and it was a very constructive experience for us. Madonna is very exacting and a professional who seeks perfection in everything she does, and this was no exception.”
Over 50 sketches of sunglasses were sent to the queen of pop but she chose only six and even altereted those to her liking.
Madonna will also star in the ad campaign for the upcoming range. The adverts will feature close-ups of Madonna playing a film noir version of herself along with model Tyson Ballou shot by Steven Klein.

To celebrate the brand’s heritage the designers sent more than 70 models down the runway wearing sumptuous clothing and beautiful accessories. Black was the dominant color in the collection with addition of grey, beige, yellow and red. Leopard prints and polka dots were also important.

Dolce&Gabbana girl is reported to be planning her own clothing line for US store Macy’s. This collection won’t be Madonna’s debut in designing. As you probbaly remember in 2007 the star created a range of clothes for high store H+M.

According to WWD Madge will work on the outfits while Truth or Dare will put their efforts into lingerie and underwear ranges.
Spokespeople for both Madonna and Macy’s do not comment the rumours. But if the singer decides to collaborate with the store she will follow in the footsteps of many other celebrities, like Gwen Stefani, Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and others.

It’s cold outside and we all want spring to come as soon as possible with its warmth, sun and greenness. And while there is little brightness out there we can think about things that can enliven our life.
Let’s talk about bracelets now. Bracelets are must-haves in any woman’s wardrobe. And we all have so many of them! But do you know that they initially were worn only by men? Read the history of bracelets here.

Spring-Summer 2010 season sees lots of bracelets worn all over the arm, from wrists to forearms. And the diversity of styles and designs is huge.
Let me show you the bracelets I liked the most in designers’ collections.
John Galliano and Lanvin created very elaborate and chic pieces, with lots of beads, chains and gemstones.

Jean Paul Gaultier preferred plastic to other materials and made very extravagant bracelets which could be worn on forearms and elbows.

Madonna looks chic even washing dishes. The singer graces Dolce&Gabbana Spring-Summer 2010 ad campaign wearing luxurious clothes. And she wears those in the kitchen!!!

The star is featured washing up, peeling vegetables and eating pasta, which seems a bit strange after so many talks about her diet rules.
The campaign is said to have been inspired by Italian neorealism cinema, something Stefano Gabbana says Madonna knows all about.

The designer also claims that despite the fact Madonna is very aristocratic she is very practical as well, and does a lot about the house herself, including washing dishes.
Certainly…she’s a very practical woman,’ he said.
Besides, Stefano says he had a chance to see the star eating spaghetti, traditional Italian meal.
Madonna likes the collection and clearly sees the connection between it and Italian cinema.

Madonna is one of the most fashionable and stylish women in the world. And having her as the face of ad campaign is always a huge success.

No one would have probably even noticed those funny Louis Vuitton bunny ears or at least haven’t taken them so seriously if Madonna hadn’t worn them.
She collaborated with Louis Vuitton for two seasons and really gave the brand a new twist. But now it’s time to change as Madge can never do the same thing for a long time – she loves changes.

The new venture for the singer is Dolce&Gabbana Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign. Yes, the Italian brand has invited Madonna to represent the brand! It’s not the accidental choice of course as the woman embodies both the strong sensuality of Dolce&Gabbana and shares an Italian heritage with the brand.
