And new Glam Event.
2009 BET Awards held on Sunday, June 28, 2009 was fabulous. Lots of celebrities got their awards and spoke about the event itself and Michael Jackson, who was the focus of the attention as everyone wanted to pay tribute for his talents.
Lots of outfits and fashionable looks were seen on the red carpet that day and now we’ll give you a short review of the best-dressed women at the event.
Let’s start from the sexiest ladies. Beyonce and Alicia Keys looked stunning in their super short dresses embellished with beads and sequins. Though the dresses were quite different they do look similar in the sense of hotness.

Tierra Marie looked fantastic in a black mini-dress with a layered bottom and black and silver platforms. Estelle, the British singer, was all puffed up in a pretty jean dress by Acne, which she paired with a white glove - a nod to Michael Jackson.

Beth Ditto, the Gossip frontwoman, is to launch her own fashion line for plus-size women.
It’s been a dream,” Beth Ditto recently said about her collaboration with Evan’s head of design Lisa Marie Peacock for the last few months.
It’s just three weeks until we see the entire collection. But now we can take a look at some of her wonderful pieces.

It’s not a secret than it’s really hard for a plus-size lady to find something flattering and it’s good Beth Ditto decided to create this line.
We were told to expect a ’80s-inspired range’ and we do see a nice line including slouchy T-shirts, graphic domino-print dresses and studded accessories.
Sizes start from 14 and go up to 32. The line isn’t expensive. Prices are very affordable, starting at just $29.

The Cruise 2010 line from Louis Vuitton is created for girls from megalopolis who love to look sassy and catchy and still feel comfortable in clothes they wear.
The collection includes a pretty short lemon bustier dress, a thin-striped dress with flounces, a black cut-out dress with a pleated skirt, an outfit consisting of a little black dress complemented with an orange belt and a dark violet short sleeved cardigan, and others.

The shoes look very feminine with the clear flower motif, as if Louis Vuitton wanted to bring back the floral fashion. High platform sandals go very well with short skirts thus lengthening the girl’s legs (a good choice for those with shorter legs!!!) Leather peep-toe-and-heel booties look impressive.

Bag theme is very limited in the collection but still allows watching the tendency offered by the designers. Bags are made in a boat shape with thick ropes coming as handles and decorated by an immutable LV pattern.

Little black dress is a must-have in any woman’s wardrobe. But do you know how to wear it right? And what can be considered as “right”?
First of all let’s begin from the understanding of what a little black dress is like.

The first version of the little black dress was invented by Coco Chanel in 1926. It was perfectly elegant but simple.
The vividness of the image was achieved by accessories rather than the dress itself.
So, how did the little black dress by Chanel look like?
Rules for Chanel little black dress:
• Dress should cover the knees
• No décor is acceptable: no pleats, frills or embroidery
• Clear silhouette
• No sleeves; if there are ones, they should be narrow and without any décor
• Sheer black stockings
• Pumps (no open-toed shoes are appropriate)
• No massive jewelry
• A little clutch

It’s hard time for wordwide economy but it doesn’t mean that you can’t buy the most expensive dress at $30 million price.
Why so expensive?

The “Nightingale of Kuala Lumpu” the silk and taffeta evening gown is adorned with 750 diamonds, including a 70 carat pear-shaped stone at the centre of the bodice and a train encrusted with real diamonds.
This fantastic price dress has gone on sale in Malaysia and makes famous gowns by Balmain and Dior look like Primark price tags.
Stocks drop, gold is even falling but a diamond is forever. This is a dress with diamonds. Why go backwards, why can’t we go forwards?” the designer of this dress, Faisol Abdullah, told Reuters as he showed off his sketches.
We are going to the fantastic, but its real. You are getting value for money with these diamonds”
The designer Abdullah wants to finish the dress in time for the STYLO Fashion festival early next month in the Malaysian capital.
Asked if the dress would fascinate buyers, Nancy Yeoh, chief executive of STYLO, which commissioned the dress, said:
Its art and there are still enough rich people who would want to buy.
Actually, we have a plan to present the dress to the royal courts around the world starting with the Middle East,” she said, adding that if the dress was sold, 5 percent would go to the Gaza Humanitarian Fund.

Little Black Dress (LBD) has been accepted as a classic item, a cult piece, a whole concept of fashion.

It was popular long ago, is popular now and I am sure will be always in vogue in future due to its versatility and elegance. No matter what current fashion tendencies are, women still prefer the pure style of the LBD.

Women have admired the LBD since it was invented and made a style revolution in ladies’ wardrobes. I think nearly everyone knows that the inventor of the classic LBD was Coco Chanel who literally forced fashionistas worldwide to throw out all their immediately-got- old-fashioned dresses.

This happened in 1926. The success of the LBD was so huge that American women called it “La Ford” that meant the LBD was as popular as the most famous American car at that time. This way the vision of an elegant wardrobe changed and the LBD became as versatile as an ordinary t-shirt.
