amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala always draws a big number of celebs making for a smashing red carpet. This year the event raised $25 millions for AIDS research and gathered such celebs as Sharon Stone, Milla Jovovich, Zhang Ziyi, and many others including an army of models.

There were many models at the event. Rosie Huntigton-Whiteley looked chic in white Christian Dior dress with an assymetric hem while Eva Herzigova opted for a maxi dress from the same brand. Irina Shayk shined in a hot pink sparkly dress from Elie Saab while Lily Donaldson and Jessica Hart were the other two models to bring brights to the red carpet with their red dresses.

Chanel Iman was another model to dress in white. She chose Alexis Colby Carrington gown with angular shoulders and long sleeves.

Karolina Kurkova, Bianca Balti wore black. Kurkova went with a cut out Roberto Cavalli gown while Bianca Balti opted for gorgeous Alberta Ferretti dress.

Selita Ebanks went for a pink tulle dress, a very different style from her Blood Ties premiere outfit. Alessandra Ambrosio also chose a romantic dress from Zuhair Murad Spring 2013 Couture collection. Heidi Klum ditched sexy for a glamorous Marchesa Spring 2013 dress with golden details.

Petra Nemcova looked glam and sexy in a dark blue semi sheer Elie Saab gown while Izabel Goulart chose a similar dress with long sleeves and in dark green color.

Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss stood out thanks to their fashion choices. The former chose an interesting Givenchy Fall 2013 dress with a sheer floral-embellished skirt while the latter one skipped the dress and wore a trouser suit from Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

Other industry people were Anna Dello Russo who sported a dramatic Balenciaga outfit and designer Ulyana Sergeenko who as usual went to display her own work – a two-tone dress from her couture collection.

Zhang Ziyi looked wonderful in a zebra Giambattista Valli outfit from Spring 2013 Couture collection. The ensemble consists of a peplum top, a matching skirt and a sheer black tulle skirt. The actress styled her look with Mouawad fine jewelery, a black clutch, and Ferragamo black peep-toe shoes.

Aishwarya Rai wore a golden Tarun Tahiliani sari completing it with gold jewelry and clutch. Singer Ellie Goulding appeared in silver Patricia Bonaldi dress with a sheer embellished skirt.

Milla Jovovich sported a stunning Valentino Couture gown with shiny leaf embroidery and wispy sleeves. The actress accessorized her look with Jimmy Choo clutch, David Yurman jewelry, and a braid updo.

Dita Von Teese stayed true to her style in black velvet Ulyana Sergeenko dress with a full skirt and a plunging neckline. She finished her look with pearl Chopard earrings and satin peep-toe sandals.

One of the best dresses could be seen on Stacy Kiebler who wore Zac Posen for the gala. The plum mermaid style gown from designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection featured a bow detail at the neck, which made for an interesting look.

Jessica Chastain opted for a red Saint Laurent gown with a wrapped bodice and a cut out. The actress accessorized the look with one statement bracelet and side swept waves.

More beauties in white were Kylie Minogue in her Roberto Cavalli gown with snakeskin insert, Sharon Stone who again opted for Cavalli, and Janet Jackson who wore a total white look from Armani Privé.

Paris Hilton showed up on the red carpet wearing a light pink gown with a feather train. The socialite accessorized her look with statement earrings and a cuff.

Nicole Kidman was a true belle of the ball on the ninth day of 2013 Cannes Film Festival as she wore a beautiful Valentino couture gown for the Nebraska premiere. The actress looked gorgeous completing her look with a sophisticated updo and Cathy Waterman jewelry.

Nicole Kidman At 2013 Cannes Film Festival

Between red carpet appearances the actress chose two little black dresses to wear at the Jury photocall and The IFP, Calvin Klein Collection & Euphoria Calvin Klein Celebrate Women In Film. The first one was by Alexander McQueen while the second in leather from Calvin Klein.

Heidi Klum also attended the same premiere in a sexy Versace dress with a corset bodice and the model’s signature side slit. The one-sleeved dress was embellished with Swarovsky crystals that matched Klum’s statement earrings and ring. The model also wore metallic sandals while red nail polish added a bright accent to her sparkly look.

At the premiere of Max Rose Kerry Bishe wore a beautiful black Escada dress in semi sheer floral-patterned fabric. The actress wore minimal accessories and completed her look wtih classic black shoes.

Actresses of La Vie D’Adele Adele Exarchopoulos and Lea Seydoux attended the premiere of their movie wearing Balmain and Armani. Adele Exarchopoulos chose a monochrome Balmain dress from Spring 2013 collection while Lea Seydoux went for a satin black Armani gown.

On ninth day of the festival most of the celebs attended amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala and Heidi Klum managed to attend the event too.

Jessica Chastain at the premiere of All Is Lost

As the Cannes Film Festival is drawing to an end stars opt for more and more sparkle. The day before yesterday Sharon Stone, Rosario Dawson and many others rocked metallic dresses at the premieres of Cleopatra and Behind the Candelabra. Yesterday most of the celebs chose to wear glam sparkly dresses as they walked the red carpet of All Is Lost and Only God Forgives.

Jessica Chastain looked beautiful in a gorgeous sparkly purple Givenchy Couture dress that accentuated her waist. Richly embroidered dress had a front slit and an exposed zipper fastening on the back. The actress hasn’t even worn any jewelry with this amazing elaborate dress.

Also opting for Givenchy Couture, Li Yuchun wore an ombre fringed top and black trousers with open toe heels from the brand’s Fall 2012 collection. Araya A. Hargate also went for a fringe in Salvatore Ferragamo dress from Resort 2012 collection styling it with Boucheron earrings and silver ring.

Just the day before yesterday Petra Nemcova wore a metallic Emilio Pucci gown and to the premiere of All Is Lost she chose a soft pink Elie Saab Couture dress with sparkly embroidery. She accessorized her look with statement Chopard jewelry pieces and Elie Saab metallic clutch.

Kristin Scott Thomas shined in a blue metallic Armani Privé gown and Chopard jewels. The actress finished the look with Swaroovski clutch and black open toe shoes.

Dresses At 2013 Cannes Film Festival

Alessandra Ambrosio looked amazing in a metallic Roberto Cavalli gown, which she accessorized with de Grisogono jewels. Irina Shayk also opted for Cavalli but her dress was daring and open. Model Liu Wen also wore Cavalli but her dress was one of a few non-sparkly, she styled it with some Chopard jewels.

There were also some more non-sparkly outfits. The first one of Elsa Zylberstein who wore white lace Armani gown and another one from Astrid Berges-Frisbey who wore a Chanel Couture dress with black overlaid lace.

Zhang Ziyi went for a black and gold Chanel Couture 2009 gown with a tulle train and a satin sash. The actress carried a Ferragamo egg-shaped clutch and finished her look with Chanel Joallierie jewels and Jimmy Choo shoes.

Milla Jovovich chose another midnight blue dress, this time by Armani. In this dress the top is embellished and the skirt is full and flowing.

Kate Bogucharskaia in Oscar de la Renta Resort 2014 collection photoshoot

Oscar de la Renta’s Resort 2014 collection is as elegant and elaborate as usual. The floral embellishments and beautiful prints make the collection feminine and red carpet-worthy. Though it’s not as bright as the last year’s resort line, it’s still very much in the designer’s style.

This year there was no resort fashion show though. The collection was presented for a small group of journalists and we get to see the outfits in a beautiful lookbook.

The collection includes beautiful gowns, elegant peplum dresses and trouser ensembles, tweed creations and some cocktail frocks. The silhouettes vary from A-line dresses to tulip skirts; classic pleated trousers are paired with assymetric peplum tops.

Oscar de la Renta Resort 2014 Collection

The color palette still includes some bright colors like pink, lime green, and royal blue but there are more neutral and pastel colors as well as darker shades. Embroidery varies from printed to dimensional flowers, sequins, lace appliques and drapery.

There are some great classic outfits in the lookbook that would fit for the office as well. They are more elaborate yet still classy. Cocktail dresses and gowns are decorated with lace, sheer fabric layers, and floral prints.

Accessories always play a big role in Oscar de la Renta’s collections. Here we see statement necklaces, bracelets, and oversized flower-shaped earrings. They often match with the outfits making for an impeccable yet flashy look.

The shoes are pointed but vary greatly in color and prints. The colors are neutral and bright, there are also models with bright or contrasting piping. There is also a model with net-like detail that almost makes it an ankle bootie.

This is a great collection full of understated elegance and feminine glamour. What do you think?

It was day seven of 2013 Cannes Film Festival yesterday and the stars attended more movie premieres. Dita Von Teese and Sharon Stone attended the Behind the Candelabra premiere, while Jessica Chastain and Aishwarya Rai were seen at the premiere of Cleopatra. Kylie Minogue attended Les Salauds premiere in a stunning Roberto Cavalli gown.

Aishwarya Rai looked Goddess-like in a turquoise Armani Privé satin gown, which she accented with hot pink lipstick. Jessica Chastain opted for a minimalist Versace Collection long-sleeved white dress, which she accessorized with a statement Ms. Taylor Bulgari necklace.

Milla Jovovich looked great as always as she took to the red carpet in a dark blue Prada dress with an embellished skirt and a backless top. She finished her look with statement earrings and a sparkly clutch.

Model Joan Smalls went for a neutral Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall 2013 gown with a plunging neck and front slit. Erin Heatherton opted for a sparkly Roberto Cavalli gown, also in a neutral color. Chanel Iman wore a strapless black dress accessorized with David Yurman jewelry and Louis Vuitton miniadure.

Adriana Karembeu wore Jitrois leather dress with a fringed skirt and a semi-sheer top. Big green stone earrings completed her look.

Day Seven Of 2013 Cannes Film Festival

It was Dita Von Teese’s second red dress in two days, a red Elie Saab Couture frock, which she completed with red satin Christian Louboutin pumps and a red sparkly handbag. She also wore statement earrings.

Adding some drama to the red carpet with her Zac Posen dress Araya A. Hargate looked like belle of the ball in mint green. She styled her look with Devi Kroell clutch and some statement jewelry.

Petra Nemcova, Moran Atias, Lara Nieto, Rosario Dawson and Sharon Stone all rocked metallic and sparkly dresses. Atias and Stone both wore royal blue dresses both by Roberto Cavalli. Lara Nieto and Rosario Dawson opted for gold Elie Saab gowns, while Petra Nemcova chose Emilio Pucci creation.

Opting for comfortable glamour Li Yuchun and Barbara Palvin wore trouser suits. Yuchun went for a red Gareth Pugh suit with numerous ruffles at the top and dramatic sleeves. Palvin chose a sleek Alexandre Vauthier suit and paired it with a sheer blouse.

2013 Cannes Film Festival Fashion

Marion Cotillard who attended Dior’s Cruise 2014 show opted for a dress from the collection. Color block creation with assymetrical pleated skirt looked lightweight and summery, but Marion added a bit of glamour to the look with bouffant hair and Chopard jewels. The actress also wore the shoes from the Cruise 2014 collection.

Her co-star Zoe Saldana opted for an embroidered Valentino gown. She styled her look with some David Yurman jewelry and red lipstick.

Milla Jovovich appeared in a floral couture gown from Chanel accessorizing her look with a simple black clutch and statement Swarovski jewels. She looked effortlessly chic in this complex dress.

Aishwarya Rai chose a multicolor dress by designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The star finished her look with a satin clutch and minimal jewelry.

Alyson Le Borges wore an interesting red Armani Privé dress accessorized with a statement necklace and bracelet and a tousled effortless updo.

Selita Ebanks stole the show at the Ebanks at Blood Ties red carpet as she appeared in a bright yellow Gabriela Cadena gown embroidered with stones. The model finished her look with frosted eyeliner to match her dress embroidery and red lipstick.

Ahna O’Reilly stood out in a red dress and pants from Monique Lhuillier at the premiere of As I Lay Dying. The actress who stars in the film opted for satin champagne pumps which didn’t exactly suit the lace and tulle red dress.

Rosario Dawson wore a white sparkly Elie Saab with a side slit. She completed the look with a necklace and a matching clutch.

Nicole Kidman at the premiere of Inside Llewyn Davis

Cannes don’t rest even on weekends so we already have a number of amazing red carpet looks to share. On May 18 there was a premiere of Jimmy P. gathering celebs like Cheryl Cole, Eva Longoria, and Jennifer Lawrence. The next day Inside Llewyn Davis starring Carey Mulligan and Justin Timberlake continued the festival.

2013 Cannes Film Festival Weekend Red Carpet

Eva Longoria stunned on the red carpet yet again as she wore blue Versace dress with Brian Atwood shoes and, of course, Chopard jewelry. Cheryl Cole also brought sultriness to the carpet in her burgundy Zuhair Murad gown from Fall 2013 collection. The singer kept accessories to the minimum due to an elaborate dress design but still went for bouffant hairstyle.

Doutzen Kroes looked gorgeous in a white long-sleeved Calvin Klein dress designed by Francisco Costa with an open back. The model accessorized her look with white Calvin Klein sandals, jewels and red lipstick. Model Nieves Alvarez appeared in a custom red Ralph & Russo Couture gown with a dramatic silhouette. She accessorized her look with Christian Louboutin clutch and shoes and Chopard jewelry.

Paz Vega opted for another daring dress, this time from Stéphane Rolland’s Spring 2013 Couture collection. This one’s surely both eye-catchy and controversial in terms of design, but it sure has a beautiful feather train.

Jennifer Lawrence slipped into yet another Christian Dior dress in black and white, which she completed with Chopard jewels, Charlotte Olympia bag, and Jimmy Choo shoes.

At Inside Llewyn Davis premiere on May 19 we could see the film’s stars Carey Mulligan and Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Nicole Kidman with husband Keith Urban, and others.

Kirsten Dunst opted for Michael van der Ham Fall 2013 black dress decorated with white and navy blue appliques.

Jessica Biel stunned in Marchesa Fall 2012 dress with feather underskirt. The star styled her look with a statement necklace and clutch while opting for simpler neutral shoes. Zhang Yuqi went for a neutral color with her Roberto Cavalli dress for the premiere as well looking gorgeous in a mermaid style gown. The lower part of the skirt was decorated with feather. Staying true to her style Carey Mulligan wore a minimalist monochrome Vionnet dress with Brian Atwood sandals.

Aishwarya Rai wore Elie Saab Couture dress with black lace applique and a dramatic train. She also carried a clutch but kept her other accessories minimal.

Nicole Kidman wore an embellished dress from L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2013 collection accessorizing it with two lace cuffs rather than a black feather boa as in runway look.

First Day Of 2013 Cannes Film Festival

Nicole Kidman looked gorgeous in Christian Dior Couture Spring 2013 floral strapless dress that the actress completed with pink patent Jimmy Choo shoes and a Ferragamo clutch. Kidman will fulfill her role as a jury member during this Cannes Film Festival.

Carey Mulligan also chose Christian Dior Couture, her pale pink dress was minimalist and romantic, she accentuated it only with bright red lipstick. The star wore her hair mid-parted and sleek. Her The Great Gatsby co-star Isla Fisher went for a red Oscar de la Renta gown with a ruffled skirt, which she styled with Bulgari Heritage necklace and a statement bracelet.

Lana Del Rey who recorded the song ‘Young and Beautiful’ for the film’s soundtrack dressed in a black and white lace dress with a train, her hair was styled in retro waves. She accessorized her look with statement ring and earrings.

Naomie Harris opted for a metallic though minimalist Calvin Klein dress. The actress chose minimal accessories that included a black satin Calvin Klein handbag and a touch of silver eyeshadow on her lids.

Zhang Ziyi was yet another star who opted for Chtistian Dior Couture, only she chose a pant ensemble from the Fall 2012 collection and accessorized with Christian Louboutin striped black and clear pumps. Chtistian Dior definitely ruled the night.

Cara Delevingne once again stayed true to Burberry, wearing its black lace dress that she generously styled with Chopard jewelry and red paint on her nails and lips.

Another model who brought plenty of effortless glamour to the opening ceremony was Cindy Crawford. The supermodel wore slinky white Roberto Cavalli dress with golden neck embellishment and a plunging decolletage.

Actress Sonam Kapoor opted for a white and gold Anamika Khanna Couture gown she finished off with Jimmy Choo shoes and Sunita K jewelry.

Bringing a bit of drama to the red carpet, Fan Bingbing appeared wearing a pink satin Louis Vuitton gown with a long train and an embellished neck. The star carried a golden tassled Louis Vuitton clutch and wore Chopard jewelry.

Also with a bit of drama was Solange Knowles’ amazing Stéphane Rolland Couture dress from Fall 2012 collection, though neutral in color it featured cape and feather details. The singer accessorized who recently announced the launch of her own record label accessorized her look with Chopard jewels and Jimmy Choo clutch.

Zhang Yuqi looked definitely dramatic in electric green Ulyana Sergeenko couture gown with a plunging neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves. The actress accessorized her look with red accents.

Finally, Freida Pinto who wore a one-of-a-kind pink Gucci dress looked radiant and playful. The dress featured a halterneck and an embellished belt while the accessories included Chopard earrings.

Etro Resort 2014 lookbook

Etro has a habit of creating bright, however, small collections in-between seasons. But that certainly does not lessen their impact. Just take a look at the brand’s Resort 2014 line. There are seven looks consisting of bright printed blazers and a couple of dresses are not only cruise-appropriate but also stylish. The focus of the collection is on prints and cut.

As usual, you can see the brand’s love of prints and color in this collection. Cut is also a thing here, as there are long blazers, kimono-style coat, and flared pants in the line.

The first outfit of the collection is a dress in sunset hues of purple, red and peach. Printed with florals, this is a great item for the daily wear – casual and more formal. It is styled with a cuff, flat sandals and a thin belt but, we imagine, there are many more styling options.

The second look features basic black trousers, a printed top and a long bright blazer with same floral print as in the first dress and cool monochromatic shoulders. This blazer can jazz up any basic look.

Etro Resort 2014 Collection

Other items to add color and style to your office outfit are a light printed monochrome coat with sleeves in different colors or a kimono-like printed coat with 3/4 sleeves.

Second dress is printed and monochromatic. It has the same cut as the first one and is styled with strappy shoes and a wide belt.

The last two looks consist of flared pants and statement blazers. Printed items are combined with ones in solid colors making for perfectly balanced looks. Besides printed elements there are a few basic styles, like black trousers, white and black tops and mint skirt in classic style with a side slit.

2013 Met Ball Best Dresses
