I love prints, especially florals. The more the better. So, it’s not surprising that Printed Maiden photoshoot from Elle Greece February 2012 issue starring Natalia Zakharova looked so appealing to me.

Photographed by Dimitris Skoulos for Elle Greece the model looks amazing in all the outfits she wears for the shoot. And she wears quite a lot. As far as I can recognize the designer pieces Natalia is dressed in Mary Katrantzou trouse suit, D&G and Pucci maxi dresses, Blumarine lovely mini finished with flip flops and a cap from the same collection, leather pencil skirt with a car pattern by Prada, Iceberg and Dsquared2 pieces, and Missoni swimsuit.

My favorite photo is the one with Natalia Zakharova posing in Blumarine short dress printed with blue flowers. The model is laughing and looks really great.

I would like to start from Emma Stone who has become one of my favorite actresses. She really deserves every award she receives and she always looks fabulous on the red carpet. At the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards she wasn’t honored but The Help movie she starred in was hugely praised. Emma wore an emerald green Jason Wu gown to the event.

Kirsten Dunst opted for a chic black dress from Christian Dior Spring/ Summer 2012 collection. She looked amazing.

Elle Fanning also was in attendance. She wore a floral-printed Rodarte gown to the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.

Black color was a hit at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards. Evan Rachel Wood went for a black floor-length dress by Valentino which she teamed with shoes and a clutch from the same brand.

Young starlet Chloe Moretz turned heads with her chic Chanel dress.

Elizabeth Olsen appeared at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in a bright yellow Emilio Pucci dress which looked wonderful on her figure.

Charlize Theron wore a luxurious black Alaia gown to the ceremony. Bulgari accessories complemented her look nicely.

Dianne Kruger looked lovely at the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in a long Prada dress. I think she is one of those celebrities who always looks good on the red carpet.

Michelle Williams, who was lucky to play gorgeous star of the past Marilyn Monroe, looked spectacular in a black-and-white dress by Chanel.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #1: Airy maxi dresses. Maxi dresses are always in vogue but during Spring/ Summer 2012 season it is airy maxis that will be top trendy. Made of chiffon, taffeta, organza and other sheer fabrics maxi dresses come in colorful prints. D&G and Emilio Pucci offer us multilayered dresses with scarf-inspired prints, Just Cavalli and Naeem Khan go for leopard and polka dots while Roccobarocco simply combines contrast colors.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #2: Mini dresses. While some ladies opt for airy maxi dresses others will definitely want to show more of their bodies and trendy mini dresses will help them a lot with this. Paco Rabanne, Balmain and other designers have made a variety of super mini dresses in different colors and designs.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #3: Midi-length dresses. Midi-length dresses are perfect for those who dislike maxi dresses but feel shy or inappropriate to wear mini dresses. Midi dresses look good on women of all ages and can be good for many occasions. In a dress from Giorgio Armani you can visit a red carpet event. Victoria Beckham’s tight-fitting midi will look perfect at a book launch or a store opening and a stylish Etro will make you feel gorgeous everywhere you go.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #4: Glittering dresses. If you want all attention centered at you just go for one of glittering dresses designers provided in plenty for Spring/ Summer 2012. Try a silver or gold dress or find a bolder option in green, red or blue. Elie Saab designed fantastic sequined gowns. Giorgio Armani made a few dresses in color of liquid metal. And Paco Rabanne worked with iridescent hues.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #5: Asymmetrical hemlines. Asymmetrical hemline is a big Spring/ Summer 2012 trend which extends not only to dresses but to various tops and coats, too. Mary Katrantzou made a number of fabulous dresses with trains. Missoni cut hemlines to one side, while majority of designers simply re-invented a mullet dress (which has been a hot Winter 2012 trend).

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #6: Floral-printed dresses. Floral print is very trendy during Spring/ Summer 2012. Delicate and small or large prints look feminine and very beautiful. Every brand from Valentino to Proenza Schouler and of course Anna Sui (who nearly every season uses the print in her collections) have used it. And some, like Iceberg, even combined different floral prints together.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #7: Lace dresses. Lace has been a trend since last spring but it doesn’t lose its popularity in Spring/ Summer 2012. Lace has become more delicate though. Erdem, Preen, Oscar de la Renta, Bebe and other designers and brands used lace in their ranges.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #8: White dresses. Like in every warm season white dresses are among favorites during Spring/ Summer 2012. They come in different fabrics and styles but always look lovely.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #9: Peplums. Just like lace peplums are not new in vogue. They have been with us for a couple of seasons and will stay for Spring/ Summer 2012. Peplums have become bigger and bolder and now come on both casual and evening dresses. Versace peplums are long and flat. Badgley Mischka, Alexander McQueen and Jason Wu made more voluminous peplums. And Rodarte peplums are very puffy.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #10: Frills. Spring/ Summer 2012 collections have many dresses with frills and pleats. While some look neat and classy others are huge and eye-catching.

And of course Spring/ Summer 2012 collections abound with evening dresses which are luxurious and sophisticated, perfect for a red carpet event or an important occasion.

Floral print has a tendency to come back every summer. During Spring/ Summer 2011 it was superhot. Nearly every designer made at least one outfit featuring it. Carolina Herrera’s collection was fully based on the concept of beauty of flowers.

For Spring/ Summer 2012 floral print is to be as trendy. This time Blumarine focused on the print and created the range which was literally blooming. Maybe it was too extreme but the effect was impressive. Other designers and brands that used the floral prints extensively include: Iceberg, D&G, Mary Katrantzou, Erdem and others.

Nature print is a little unusual but it seems to be gaining popularity. Images of trees, flowers, leaves, sun, sea and other can’t leave you untouched. Holly Fulton, Dries Van Noten, and Alberta Ferretti were among those designers who decided to play with the nature motif.

Continuing the theme of nature it should be mentioned that during Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion season animal prints will be hotter than ever. And this doesn’t only include the leopard, snakeskin and zebra prints but also full images of tigers, birds, cats, lizards and sea creatures.

Wild & ethnic prints will also be trendy in Spring/ Summer 2012 season. Such prints look interesting and unique and wearing them you will definitely make a stand out.

Kaleidoscopic prints are new for us. In Spring/ Summer 2012 these prints will become great additions to daring fashionistas’ wardrobes. You can go for one separate item in such print or fully make your outfit in it. Both variants will leave you looking incredible. Roccobarocco, Julien Macdonald, Matthew Williamson and Emilio Pucci collections best illustrate the trend.

Stripes are elegant and chic. They are perfect for office style garments. But for Spring/ Summer 2012 designers offer us to wear casual clothing in stripes. Both vertical and horizontal, and even diagonal stripes will make you look really trendy.

Not only the stripe will be a hot trend in Spring/ Summer 2012 season but geometrical prints in all their variety. You will find a few polka dots, zigzags, triangles, checks and many other variations of this trend.

Mullet dresses are easy to wear. But a few rules still have to be followed to create the best impression. First, you have to decide how long you want your front hemline to be. If you have beautiful slender legs you can choose a mini version (but don’t go too mini if you want to look appropriate!). Or you can opt for a longer hemline to leave just your sandals visible in case you feel insecure about legs or just want little exposure down there to make people focus on something else (your neckline, for instance).

Your second step is to decide on the length of your back hemline. You can try a long train for an evening occasion or shorter variant for a cocktail party or a casual look.

Next think of the actual design of the dress you would like to wear. It can be simple and sculpted, or chic, full and flouncy. You can even consider rocking a huge puffy mullet dress (remember Sarah Jessica Parker’s dress by Alexander McQueen at the Sex And The City 2 premiere).

The last but not the least thing to consider is the type of shoe to wear with a mullet dress. Heels are the only option and the higher the better. Flats don’t work with mullets.

While we did expect Emilio Pucci’s signature military-sharp blazers the brand’s designer Peter Dundas flooded the runway with airy gypsy dresses. Those dresses were so amazing and sexy that we immediately forgot about everything that had seemed significant before the show. We dipped into the boudoir fashion, the new world of Pucci.
Dundas revived the boudoir fashion which was unfairly forgotten by both fashionistas and designers. But it was not the fashion we saw back in Fall 2010. The new approach was more demure but truly womanly.

Emilio Pucci Spring/ Summer 2012 collection unveiled during Milan Fashion Week abounded with flowing sheer fabrics, seductive lace and summery prints. Floor-sweeping skirts, cropped tops often in shape of a bra, chic cocktail dresses and summer suits were all made with huge attention to details and looked mesmerizing.

Accessories didn’t come in plenty as outfits could say all for themselves. However, we have to mention the unique way Dundas used scarves to finish his looks for Emilio Pucci. He didn’t only tie those around models’ waists to make accents, he also put those around girls’ elbows to bring attention to these parts of a woman’s body.

At the wedding ceremony Anya Rubik wore a fabulous Pucci dress that was short in front (what wonderful legs she has!!!) and long in the back, with a train. She looked fantastic, like every bride does on her day.

Four more dresses deserve to be mentioned here. One of these was worn by singer Jennifer Lopez, who had a chance to talks to the Duchess of Cambridge at the event. Designed by Emilio Pucci Lopez’s one-shouldered forest-colored gown accentuated her famous curves.

Australian actress Nicole Kidman also looked fabulous at the BAFTA, where both Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were present. She opted for feminine baby blue Elie Saab Haute Couture gown and Manolo Blahnik shoes.

Zooey Deschanel wore a sumptuous shining dress to the ceremony.

And the last but not the least stylish was Blake Lively. The Gossip Girl star went for a luxurious Marchesa dress to wear at the event.

Emma Watson (Check out Emma Watson’s full bio and photos), who lands two covers of Harper’s Bazaar August 2011 edition, has given a candid interview about her acting, studying in Brown University and cruelty of fashion.

Emma Watson on rumors about her bullied at school: “Leaving Brown had nothing to do with bullying, as the media have been suggesting recently. I have never been bullied in my life. Like a lot of other students at Brown, I might spend my third year abroad.”

Emma Watson on being a part of Hollywood: “I feel if I have to work out four hours a day, and count the calories of everything I put in my mouth, and have Botox at 22, and obsess about how I look the whole time, I will go mad, I will absolutely lose it.”

Emma Watson on why she preferred to study in America rather than in the UK: “I felt suddenly very claustrophobic…I thought, ‘I can’t stay here [UK], I won’t be able to concentrate, I won’t be left alone.’”

Emma Watson on the fashion world: “It can be savage and cruel, in that it’s prescriptive – you have to look a certain way and fit a certain mould – but also in the way it’s made. When I went to Bangladesh, to a factory where the clothes are made [for mass market labels], it was horrifying. There is a cost to cheap clothes – if people could see the inhumane way they’re made, they would never in a million years buy them…”

Emma Watson on trying to be the good girl growing up: “There has never been room in my life for that [rebellion] – I couldn’t imagine giving my family any more trouble, it’s already been complicated enough. My dad is one of the top international-communications lawyers in the country, and trying to argue with him was a nightmare, so I learnt quite quickly to be good with words. My mum is an incredible woman. She moved back from Paris with my brother and me after the divorce, and worked full-time, supporting both of us. But I felt I wanted to take care of her – I didn’t want to give her a hard time.”

Emma Watson on hiding her genuine emotions: “When I was growing up, my family, particularly my father, were very stoic. I learnt that young, very young. Part of me is very resentful of this British mentality that it’s not good to express feelings of any kind – that it’s not proper or brave. But I also appreciate it. There’s another book that I read when I was very young – ‘The Constant Princess’ by Philippa Gregory, about Catherine of Aragon – and I know it sounds silly, but I thought, “I’ve got to be just like her”. She was the first wife of Henry VIII and she survived, having been cruelly divorced. I remember being really inspired by that.”

Emma Watson on playing bad girls: “My acting tutor said the hardest thing for me was to get angry. I almost broke down in tears when they tried to get me to be angry. I said, ‘I can’t do it, I just can’t do it.’ I keep all of that really bottled up somewhere and I feel unleashing it would be the scariest thing – and to let myself be powerful, sexy, all those things, it’s scary for me. [Even playing the bad girl in this shoot] felt a bit uncomfortable and awkward, it didn’t come naturally at all”

Emma Watson received Style Icon Award. The Harry Potter actress commented:

It feels amazing. Fashion is something that I love. I try not to think about it too much. I try and block all that off and I just do what I love and just have fun with it. I’ve definitely been feeling the pressure a bit more recently but it’s just fun for me.”

Natalie Portman, who missed the event due to her pregnancy, was named the Best Actress while Blake Lively received Best TV Star award. Blake looked beautiful on the red carpet wearing one of Emilio Pucci gorgeous designs.

Tom Ford was awarded the International Designer at Elle Style Awards 2011. He deserves it, no doubt. I’m glad he’s returned to womenswear. He’s good at it.

The title of British Designer was given to Christopher Kane Courtney. Congratulations!!!

Coco Rocha was named the Best Model. And Outstanding Contribution to Fashion went to Helena Christensen.

Noomi Rapace was honored the Next Breakthrough Talent while the Best Accessory Designer award was presented to Emma Hill.

Cheryl Cole, who appeared at 2011 Elle Style Awards wearing a red-hot floor-sweeping dress, was given Best Music accolade.

Dominic Jones received Best Jewellery Designer and Meadham Kirchoff was awarded with Next Young Designer.

Congratulations to the winners!!! You all have done your jobs well. Hope next year will be as successful for you!
