We’ve already reported about fashion at Milan Fashion Week. Last time we covered collections, created by popular designers, showed you amazing pics and video.

But lets see gorgeous shoes trends for spring/summer 2010 from Milan fashion week runway: heels, widgets, platforms and sandals, flats and extravagant shoes!

Donatella Versace presented Spring/Summer 2010 shoes collection inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movie. Lots of high platforms, bright and craza patterns, geometrical ornaments, the palette is bold black and white mixed with pastels.

The shoes are colorful, amazing, with an architectonic design and view, highly stylish. They were adorned with buckles, studs and cut-outs.

As it seems to me this new season most of the brands tend to keep their usual way of designing clothes.
Missoni stick to using cashmere, Marchesa works on red-carpet gowns and Etro is focused on exotic prints and fabrics.

But the Spring/Summer 2010 collection is a bit reserved in comparison to the ones Veronica Etro created in previous seasons. I mean the colors and even the number of details included in outfits.

Lots of satin, chiffon and voils were used in everything from pajamas to multilayered dresses. Prints were nice, often intricate and then they were simple and even severe. Colors ranged from mushroom and dusty pinks to violets.

Beautiful Anja Rubik graces Etro campaign. I like the warm color palette of the clothes and the background.
By the way, clothes are great! See the Etro A/W 2009-2010 runway show pics >>

Accessories for women can be both tiny or massive and they can complement the attire or distract viewers’ attention from it.

When we talk about men accessories it is quite clear that they should just complement the whole image adding sophistication, chic and elegance.
For example, a belt of high quality can be enough to create a good look. But the watch richly encrusted with diamonds will hardly be in place.
So, the trendiest accessories for men for these spring and summer are the following:
Belts
The belt is going to be a hot trend for the warm season.

And it will be worn not just the way we are used to see it but over the trenches, cardigans or any other clothing item. It can match the color of the garments or go in contrast with it.
Hats

Panamas will become 100% popular as well as wide-brimmed hats in Latino style. They will serve both as a practical headpiece and a part of your image.
Sunglasses are a must in spring and summer. No matter which style of sunglasses you prefer you’ll look stylish and hot when wearing them.
The most popular design for this season is a la Jack Nicholson’s sunglasses with grey matted lenses as well as horn-rimmed and multicolored-rimmed sunglasses.

The fact men’s fashion gets closer to the women’s one is not new and accessories such as men’s shawls and decorative beads, which were chosen by many designers for the forthcoming seasons, just prove that once again.

Milan Fashion Week gave us plenty of new ideas about what to wear during the fall 2009. Today we’ll talk about Veronica Etro, a super-talented designer who has always surprised us with her flight of fantasy.

Both her men and women collections are special in some way, rich in folk motives, details and décor. Each season she chooses a country or diaspora to represent in her line.

This time the inspiration was the Byzantine Empire and the Ottoman Empire, whose treasures happen to have just been on display at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

It is a common fact that Italy has long been a bridge between Western and Eastern cultures. And now this fact was taken as a basis for creation of really great, fabulous collection!

The feel of the line comes from everything: the hues – which are pure golds, bronzes, and copper, all possible tints of greys and browns; unusual details – neckpieces and belts that resemble the feathers of the angel wings seen in Byzantine icons; fringed bibs; gilded leather; and the prints derived, probably, from the patterns of Turkish carpets.
