Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #1: Airy maxi dresses. Maxi dresses are always in vogue but during Spring/ Summer 2012 season it is airy maxis that will be top trendy. Made of chiffon, taffeta, organza and other sheer fabrics maxi dresses come in colorful prints. D&G and Emilio Pucci offer us multilayered dresses with scarf-inspired prints, Just Cavalli and Naeem Khan go for leopard and polka dots while Roccobarocco simply combines contrast colors.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #2: Mini dresses. While some ladies opt for airy maxi dresses others will definitely want to show more of their bodies and trendy mini dresses will help them a lot with this. Paco Rabanne, Balmain and other designers have made a variety of super mini dresses in different colors and designs.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #3: Midi-length dresses. Midi-length dresses are perfect for those who dislike maxi dresses but feel shy or inappropriate to wear mini dresses. Midi dresses look good on women of all ages and can be good for many occasions. In a dress from Giorgio Armani you can visit a red carpet event. Victoria Beckham’s tight-fitting midi will look perfect at a book launch or a store opening and a stylish Etro will make you feel gorgeous everywhere you go.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #4: Glittering dresses. If you want all attention centered at you just go for one of glittering dresses designers provided in plenty for Spring/ Summer 2012. Try a silver or gold dress or find a bolder option in green, red or blue. Elie Saab designed fantastic sequined gowns. Giorgio Armani made a few dresses in color of liquid metal. And Paco Rabanne worked with iridescent hues.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #5: Asymmetrical hemlines. Asymmetrical hemline is a big Spring/ Summer 2012 trend which extends not only to dresses but to various tops and coats, too. Mary Katrantzou made a number of fabulous dresses with trains. Missoni cut hemlines to one side, while majority of designers simply re-invented a mullet dress (which has been a hot Winter 2012 trend).

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #6: Floral-printed dresses. Floral print is very trendy during Spring/ Summer 2012. Delicate and small or large prints look feminine and very beautiful. Every brand from Valentino to Proenza Schouler and of course Anna Sui (who nearly every season uses the print in her collections) have used it. And some, like Iceberg, even combined different floral prints together.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #7: Lace dresses. Lace has been a trend since last spring but it doesn’t lose its popularity in Spring/ Summer 2012. Lace has become more delicate though. Erdem, Preen, Oscar de la Renta, Bebe and other designers and brands used lace in their ranges.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #8: White dresses. Like in every warm season white dresses are among favorites during Spring/ Summer 2012. They come in different fabrics and styles but always look lovely.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #9: Peplums. Just like lace peplums are not new in vogue. They have been with us for a couple of seasons and will stay for Spring/ Summer 2012. Peplums have become bigger and bolder and now come on both casual and evening dresses. Versace peplums are long and flat. Badgley Mischka, Alexander McQueen and Jason Wu made more voluminous peplums. And Rodarte peplums are very puffy.

Spring/ Summer 2012 Dress Trend #10: Frills. Spring/ Summer 2012 collections have many dresses with frills and pleats. While some look neat and classy others are huge and eye-catching.

The upcoming season is almost here so we are to tell all about men fashion trends for Fall/Winter 2011/2012.The designers have much to offer so men’s fall fashion is very rich in terms of colors, styles, textures, and fabrics. You will see some trends continuing like military fashion, and many new ones that will diversify your style.

Military trend goes on: Military style coats and jackets as well as accessories have been all over the runway and the trend is continuing since the last year. Such designers and brands as Salvatore Ferragamo, Alexander McQueen, and Versace showed off some some very stylish military jackets and outerwear. Alexander McQueen outerwear is heavily influenced by military fashion.

Preppy fashion adds a splash of color: Preppy fashion is a big trend this fall. If you like casual style and comfortable clothes in bright hues then you might find plenty of designs in the collections of Vivienne Westwood, Tommy Hilfiger, Junya Watanabe, D&G, Acne, and Etro.

Every shade of gray: Gray is classic. It can be worn with black and white as well as mixed with bolder colors. Whether you’re sporting a casual look or a business suit, gray color is one of the major trends for Fall/Winter 2011/2012. Michael Kors, Dior Homme, Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin, and Bogetta Veneta have used gray in suits, outerwear and other clothing.

Neutral tones with splashes of bold hues: Many designers have went for neutral tones for their Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collections but presented them with pops of bolder hues to keep it interesting. Canali, Salvatore Ferragamo, Etro, and Michael Kors have shown off some clothes in light brown hues, light gray tones, and even pure white. Accessorize the neutral suit with a bold red or teal scarf.

Stylish suits and workwear: The suits for Fall/Winter 2011/2012 feature single and double-breasted jackets, pleated trousers and bold pocket square. Suits have been seen at Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Hermes, Versace, Canali, Michael Kors, and Salvatore Ferragamo. Workwear and overalls have been made stylish as seen at G-Star, Buckler, Hermes, and Marni. Featured in leather and with outward pockets the overalls look fresh and fashionable.

Luxurious fabrics: Velvet is continuing as a trend alongside such luxurious fabrics as cashmere, fur, leather, and calfskin. These and other luxe fabrics have been all over runway. Velvet jackets, colored leather, fur coats and calfskin outerwear can be seen at Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Etro, and others.

Chunky knit and Nordic sweaters: Chunky knit sweaters in bold colors as well as the sweaters with Nordic motifs are big this season. They are warm and yet bright and can be found at Missoni, Junya Watanabe, Versace, and Hermes. By the way, bright and neutral turtlenecks also trend this season.

Loose-tailored clothes: Some loose-tailoring is also a big trend for Fall/Winter 2011/2012. From loose-fitting overalls and trousers to oversize loose coats and jackets you get to enjoy some freedom of motion alongside some form-fitting suits.

Some minor trends include various prints as seen at Dolce & Gabbana and Etro fashion shows, hats that have been seen at many shows including that of Dior Homme, Lanvin, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Dsquared2. Creased cuffed trousers are also among Fall/Winter 2011/2012 trends as well as the external pockets and scarves winded round the neck. If you like prints there are lots of swirling prints in Etro Fall/Winter 2011/2012 collection as well as plaid can be found in collections by many designers and brands and, of course, Burberry Prorsum.

There are mind-blowing evening dresses made of glitzy fabrics, stunning cocktail dresses that would either go for a special occasion or just a romantic date, lots of wide leg trousers both richly printed and more classic monotone ones, warm turtlenecks and unusual cardigans with criss-cross front detailing in Etro Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection. Coats didn’t impress much due to their loose silhouettes and unattractive hues. However, the shoes and ankle boots – all of them – looked great.

With my own views closer and closer to vegetarian I can’t advise you to wear natural fur but who am I to forbid that to you? However, I do believe that both natural and artificial fur looks chic and beautiful. And there is no chance I would deny the fact it’s very warm that means it’s perfect for winter. So, no matter what you think about this trend it is still a trend. And here I am to show you how you can wear it.

It would be fair to start from Chanel as Karl Lagerfeld literally based his Fall/ Winter 2010/ 2011 range on fur. He created fur coats and pants, skirts and hats, high boots and gloves. If he used other materials he still put fur into the garments. Fur on sleeves, collars and handbags help me prove my words.

Marc Jacobs wasn’t as fur generous but he abounded his designs with fur, too. Having focused on collars and lower sleeves Marc did a great job to integrate the hot trend into his collection.

Etro used various colors of fur in their Fall/ Winter 2010/ 2011 range and each looked interesting. I like the bright red tails on the pant suit a lot.

Speaking about colors I should mention Anna Sui who is famous for designing casual dresses of vibrant tones. For her Fall/ Winter 2010/ 2011 collection she used orange, black, red, green and other hues of fur.

Most deigners used fur to add luxury to their creations. Nina Ricci is a good example of this. The garments that looked great on their own turned into works of art when fur was attached to those.

Respected brands like Dolce & Gabbana and girlie ones like Mulberry all feature leopard print in abundance. Every piece of the outfit, accessories and shoes of any kind – all have been touched by this trend.

If Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana opted for classic chic of leopard print, Dries Van Noten went for its casual beauty.

Mulberry demostrated the full blossom of the hottest trend for Fall 2010. Leopard print isn’t only diverse in size here it is different in color, too!

Youthfulness runs through Blumarine Fall 2010 collection with tons of animal prints. Leopard dresses and zebra coats are followed by leopard high boots and zebra trousers.

Etro took inspiration from tribal motives and leopard print was just a perfect addition.

I took the liberty of choosing 15 dresses that I think were the prettest in Fall 2010 collections. Here they are for you to judge:

#1. Red Monique Lhuillier mini with a chic bolero embellished with big red stones. Looks wonderful!

#2. Floor-length Oscar de la Renta gown with a sexy sheer shoulder detail. A real luxury.

#3. Womanly Marchesa piece that flows down in cute waves. The tiny blue belt adds glamour to the look.

#4. Classic and elegant Elie Saab dress. It looks perfect by itself but with amazing jewelry it will become absolutely gorgeous.

#5. Shimmering beauty by Marc Jacobs. Despite the fact his Fall 2010 collection wasn’t much impressive this dress is something I can barely tear my eyes from.

#6. Red creation from Halston. Red is a color of passion. And this dress just cries about passion and love!

#7. Nina Ricci’s corset dress with a touch of lace. Looks hot.

#8. Another design by Monique Lhuillier – flower-printed strapless gown. Beautiful!!!

#9. Assymetrical electric blue Oscar de la Renta dress. It’s an ideal cocktail dress that will make you the center of attention.

#10. Extravagant design by Carolina Herrera. Sumptuous single-shoulder dress is notable for the fabric – silver-burgundy velvet. Looks marvellous!

#11. Christian Siriano’s black mini looks sophisticated. And the shoes on the model are great.

#12. Super-short Victoria Beckham’s dress. I can’t say for sure why I like this design. It’s been chosen by some intuition.

#13. Long-sleeved gown with a deep V neck from Etro. Looks fantastic and fits well.

#14. Glitzy Versace style. I love the color and all this splendour in front.

#15. Exclusive chic by Zac Posen. This dress is the embodiment of modernity mixed with femininity, looks terrific!

Brand’s heritage in paisley and chinoiserie fabrics was seen all over. Pretty flower and animal prints livened the collection that comprized lots of very feminine gowns and at the same time rather mannish suits and trousers.

Huge trend of nowadays – bright and printed leggings – was also present, as well as patterned and embellished with sequins tights.

Knotting and draping

Nothing complicated. The role model to be copied is Ancient Greek clothes. Fits perfectly and glosses any shortcomings over. Im totally into Burberry’s dresses!

Legs in shorts

Summer is a perfect season to show the strongest weapon of all women- legs. It is high time to use it. Watch out, guys! It’s up to you which one to choose tap pants from Cynthia Rowley or some micro shorts by Balmain ,short shorts and boy shorts by Blumarine or hotpants from Mark Jacobs.  You’ll hot in any of them!

Sheer

Light see-through dresses and blouses are a good way to turn up the heat this spring. They are so sexy but never vulgar. So don’t be afraid to choose some chiffon dress for a party like Vera Wang’s or the tiny one by Versace.

Blazer

Top the feminine dress with an austere blazer. Pair the pantsuit with some high heals-  elegance is our strength, girls!

Prints, and moreover patterned pants!

This summer is so rich in prints even our trousers are no longer to be block color. Some sweet patterned pants were spotted at Matthew Williamson and Luella, DKNY, Etro, Balenciaga , Anna Sui’s fashion shows.

There is a huge variety of print patterns to wear: stripes, florals, graphic prints and abstract shapes.In any of them  you’ll look fashionable.

Belts

Show off your curls and accentuate it with a skinny (like Pringle of Scotland and Paul Smith) or wide leather belts (Oscar de la Renta and Gucci). Every fashionista knows the right way to wear them!

Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits keep abandoning runways and our lives too! I would say more: jupsuits are must-haves this summer!  They are so easy to wear. Pair your jumpsuit with some big accessories and you won’t leave a party unnoticed.  The one like Vera Wang’s will do the thing!

Nudity and ice-cream colors

The vast majority of shows opened up with all shades of nude, peach and lavender colors (Donna Karan, Versace, Burberry, Miu Miu)

While some people might be scared that wearing nude will make them look pale or washed out, this can be a colour that anyone can embrace.

White

White is definitely a summer color. Laconic clear lines and the noblest color together will give you tremendous effect.

So hit the ivory coast with an all-white palette of romantic and immaculate looks in everything from softly tailored pantsuits(Gucci) to whipped-up, airy little dresses like Cacharel’s.

Donatella Versace presented Spring/Summer 2010 shoes collection inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movie. Lots of high platforms, bright and craza patterns, geometrical ornaments, the palette is bold black and white mixed with pastels.

The shoes are colorful, amazing, with an architectonic design and view, highly stylish. They were adorned with buckles, studs and cut-outs.

Dolce & Gabbana mixed pumps and socks.

D&G wants cowboy boots with fringe for spring weather.

Extravagant shoes collection launches Emanuel Ungaro.

Fendi designed footwear collection in neutral colors and materials.

Missoni stick to using cashmere, Marchesa works on red-carpet gowns and Etro is focused on exotic prints and fabrics.

But the Spring/Summer 2010 collection is a bit reserved in comparison to the ones Veronica Etro created in previous seasons. I mean the colors and even the number of details included in outfits.

Lots of satin, chiffon and voils were used in everything from pajamas to multilayered dresses. Prints were nice, often intricate and then they were simple and even severe. Colors ranged from mushroom and dusty pinks to violets.

Sheer fabrics bring sort of sexulality to garments while the lightness tells a lot about their femininity. Gypsy blouses were interesting and, of course, plenty of paisley, too.
