Every glam event is a chance to show off oneself and often our stars use this rare opportunity to attract attention. The Oscar ceremony is one of the most expected, not only because we all want to know which films are considered the best but also to see what most glamorous women wear to it.
It is a common fact that to stand out at the Oscars is always a very difficult thing. But some women know very well how to do it. And one of these is definitely Jennifer Lopez. The singer appeared on the red carpet wearing a sumptuous strapless gown by Armani Prive.

By the way, Armani creations were extremely popular. Amanda Seyfried also wore a dress by this designer and looked absolutely gorgeous.

Vera Farmiga chose a more colorful dress from Marchesa, a real red-carpet label. The actress looked perfect.

Anna Kendrick was the embodiment of youth and chic as she wore a gorgeous Elie Saab gown to the event.

Sandra Bullock, who was named the Best Actress, sported a fabulous Marchesa frock. She opted for a silver clutch to match her outfit.

The new ad campaign by Givenchy for Spring-Summer 2010 fashion season is a bit severe and masculine.

Graced by Mariacarla Boscono, Natalia Vodianova, Simon Nessman and Emil Dostovic the photos feature fashion that wants no excessive details and vibrant colors.

Black and white, grey and brown hues are preferred instead of summer brightness. Stripes, mixed patterns and unusual forms are what Givenchy promises us for the warm seasons.

Justin Timberlake wants to be on the top in so many spheres! He is a singer whose songs are recognizable from the very first sounds, his William Rast fashion lines are extremely popular, he promotes young talents and now he is involved into the perfumery area.

Justin is fronting Play, that is, the Givenchy fragrance brand, which is set to be rolled out in the U.S. this fall. It firstly appeared in Europe a year ago and was a great success. The singer seems to be the best person to represent the brand.
We were looking for a man who’s recognized all over the world, someone new to the world of perfumery, and with great seductive potential,” said Pamela Baxter, president and chief executive officer of LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics N.A. and president and ceo of Christian Dior Inc.
Most importantly, we needed to find a man who could embody the modern elegance specific to the Givenchy brand as well as all the facets of Play.”

Actually there are two scents Timberlake presents – Play and Play Intense. Both were created by Symrise perfumers Lucas Sieuzac and Emilie Coppermann with Françoise Donche, creative director for fragrance at Parfums Givenchy.

And the newest images from ad campaign by Givenchy Fall/Winter 2009 were released!

This interesting view was made by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in a room at Chateau de Ferrieres, Mariacarla Boscono, Leonor Scherrer, Iris Strubegger, Ranya Mordanova and Adriana Lima were invited.
For nine seasons they collaborated with photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
The ad campaign is fierce, chic and incredible. The main colors are dark blue, black, brown and pastels and it seems to me a bit gothic.

30-year-old Big Love actress Ginnifer Goodwin covers W Magazine June 2009.
The article titled Not So Goodwin. In hot photoshoot pose two sexy boys and Ginnifer.

She talks about:
Perpetuating her own tabloid rumors:
I perpetuate rumors that I’ve dated people that I’ve never actually dated. Dorothy Parker once said something along the lines of, ‘I don’t care what’s written about me so long as it isn’t true.’ It’s safe making.”

Breaking up with boyfriend of several years, actor Chris Klein:
I’m a better person in a relationship, and I’m a happier person. I need to come home at the end of the day and have it not be about me and my freaking hair and makeup and character motivations anymore. And I think my work is more inspired when home is safe and sound and solid because what I do for a living is so bananas and so insecure.”

Being forced to give dating advice when she was promoting He’s Just Not That Into You:
I don’t know why anyone would want to ask an actor for dating advice. We are not the poster children for healthy relationships.”

We have seen plenty of open-toed ankle boots and knee-high boots on the runways for this season. They are becoming more and more popular but sometimes we feel unsure of what to wear with them as it’s often much colder outside than at the catwalks.

These short dresses have been presented in many collections by famous designers, such as Rodarte, Herve Leger, Thakoon, Givenchy and others.
And they surely deserve our attention as they look stylish and womanly despite the fact Narciso Rodriguez confessed his inspiration for the creation of such dresses were chains and lashes – as a result aggressiveness turned into femininity.

Bandage-dresses are not new to us as last year we saw some in designers’ lines but this season they are much nicer and more tailored.
I especially like dresses by Herve Leger. They have something from punk-style but at the same time they are so nice-looking and sexy!
Such a dress can easily be accessorized with various pieces and depending on the style of those it will look differently.
For instance, when worn with classic shoes and sophisticated jewelry a bandage dress will look fabulous even on the red.

But if you choose massive jewelry and gladiator boots the whole image will change and you can got to a party of punk-rock-music lovers.
So, everything depends on you and your imagination. Create your own look, make a stand out!
