A little white dress is a perfect item for warm seasons which explains why so many designers included interesting and fashionable white dresses into their Spring/ Summer 2012 collections. These dresses come in different shades of white, from snowy white to creamy white. And styles vary from simple and straight to girlie and cute, adorned with frills, sequins and finished with asymmetrical hemlines.

Badgley Mischka, Givenchy and Betsey Johnson decorated their little white dresses with peplums. Oscar de la Renta, Moschino and Roccobarocco played with lace and floral print. Louis Vuitton, Jason Wu and Marchesa used feathered elements to make their dresses more beautiful and unusual.

Vionnet and Bebe featured asymmetrical hemlines. Victoria Beckham, Andrew Gn and Jean Paul Gaultier opted for an open shoulder style. And Versace and John Richmond beautified their little white dresses with glittering studs.

Most of little white dresses presented by designers for Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion season come in mini lengths and will be ideal for young girls with slender legs. There are midi versions too, which are more demure but still very sexy.

Some of these little white dresses can make a statement on their own due to unique and eye-catching elements they feature. Others, simpler ones, need to be accessorized to become attention-grabbers. For example, Giambattista Valli dress with fur detail looks impressive without any bracelets, necklaces or bags. But Jason Wu frock with a peter-pan collar should be complemented with a black belt and a tiny clutch for an elegant look.

Of course, these are not all the white dresses from Spring/ Summer 2012 collection but they are the most amazing, in my opinion. Tell me which you like the most and which you think I should add to the list.

Givenchy Pre-Fall 2012 collection is very laconic and simple but we can’t say it is plain. Colors are dark and practical: black, khaki, brown, with additions of red, nude and grey. Silhouettes are straight and often asymmetrical, with plenty of sharp angles.

Fabrics in Givenchy Pre-Fall 2012 collection are thick and warm, perfect for fall season with its winds and low temperatures. Textures are combined with each other. Pant suits come with leather trimming, dresses feature a contrast color lining, sweaters and jackets show the color-blocking details which are still trendy this season.

Givenchy Pre-Fall 2012 collection abounds with accessories. Long gloves are the necessary items for Pre-Fall (we have seen so many Pre-Fall 2012 ranges with such style of gloves!!!). Hats are stylish and unusual. And scarves fall down to models knees and feature flower print. Bags come square-shaped with a chain handle.

Footwear needs special attention in Givenchy Pre-Fall 2012 collection. It isn’t feminine or elegant and reminds riding boots. The form is really weird.

For Salvatore Ferragamo Gisele Bundchen (Check out Gisele Bundchen’s bio and picture gallery) looks romantic wearing a floral-printed dress and a pair of sexy sandals. A large blue bag finishes the look. The supermodel poses on the beach beside a palm tree with an incredibly blue sky on the background.

Versace campaign shows us Gisele Bundchen in a desert but despite the heat she looks as fabulous as she does in any other place. She wears a number of stylish pieces from Versace Spring/ Summer 2012 collection – a minidress, a bra top with a pencil skirt and a bra top with a pair of hotpants.

For Givenchy Gisele Bundchen appears to be fierce. She poses alongside two male models and a dog that she keeps on a leash but can release at any moment if someone makes her angry.

Salvatore Ferragamo campaign is the best for me. I like the feminine dress she wears and the place is so sunny that summer seems to be getting closer.

Life isn’t easy for Lea T but she keeps struggling for her place in the sun. And first really good results are starting to show up. The transsexual model has landed the cover of prestigious fashion magazine – Elle Brazil December 2011 issue.

Lea T, who is one of Riccardo Tisci’s favorite models, wears Givenchy on the cover of Elle Brazil December 2011 issue. She looks amazing in a floral-printed dress-and-jacket ensemble. Her hair is done in soft waves and the makeup is flawless.

Marc Jacobs, who once had a chance to play himself in a 2007 documentary Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton, is reported to get a real job as an actor. No details have been revealed so far but the designer confirms his new venture:

I got cast in a role in a movie. They’re filming next week and I’m excited. I get to play a character that’s not myself at all.”

New couple has been announced inside Gucci brand – Frida Giannini and Gucci CEO Patrizio di Marco. The two have revealed that they’ve been a couple for over two years. They are said to get romantically involved on a trip to China. Both were divorced at that time. Now, when the both understand how strong their feelings are di Marco and Giannini discussed the matter with François-Henri Pinault, the chief executive of PPR, which owns Gucci. They mentioned they were ready to leave Gucci if required, but Pinault “was very supportive.”

Pinault commented:

If something changed and one left, well, we would deal with that. . . . This is a family business – it was started by my father, and I know how that can feel and seem to the outside world, but I also know how much that makes you be strict with yourself. And I knew them, so I knew if anything this would make them more demanding with themselves.”

Gisele Bundchen (See Gisele’s picture gallery) is said to be the new face of Givenchy. She might have already shot the brand’s Spring/ Summer 2012 campaign along with male model Noah Mills in Jamaica. If the rumor is true the campaign will be the first since Fall 2007 that hasn’t featured Riccardo Tisci’s close friend and muse Mariacarla Boscono. Gisele used to represent Givenchy in 2000 when Alexander McQueen was the designer of the brand.

It’s just the rumor but people don’t talk if there is nothing to talk about. So, maybe it’s true that American model Chanel Iman and the new designer Kanye West are dating. The two were spotted at the Givenchy Spring/Summer 2012 show together and then at the after-party they seemed to be really close. A person who also attended the event said:

West and Iman were embraced with his head on her shoulder.”

Rihanna, who covers Vogue UK November 2011 issue, wears a wonderful floral-printed dress for the front page (is it Alberta Ferretti?) and a black bodysuit, cardigan, beret and a pair of sexy pumps for the inside pictorial.

While talking to the Vogue UK interviewer Rihanna mentions that it is not she that people see on stage. It’s just a part she has to play.

Rihanna told Vogue UK:

That’s not me. That’s a part I play. You know, like it’s a piece of art… I just want to make music.”

She also notes that her troubled childhood made her too mature too early:

I saw too much. I was way too mature for my age.”
