Belt is worn for practical purpose or just as a decorative item.
But no matter what we wear it for we should be very careful when choosing the style of the belt.As any other item of clothes belts have styles and are not versatile for the exception of classic designs.

We’ve already reported about fashion at Milan Fashion Week. Last time we covered collections, created by popular designers, showed you amazing pics and video.
But lets see gorgeous shoes trends for spring/summer 2010 from Milan fashion week runway: heels, widgets, platforms and sandals, flats and extravagant shoes!
Donatella Versace presented Spring/Summer 2010 shoes collection inspired by Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland movie. Lots of high platforms, bright and craza patterns, geometrical ornaments, the palette is bold black and white mixed with pastels.
The shoes are colorful, amazing, with an architectonic design and view, highly stylish. They were adorned with buckles, studs and cut-outs.
Fashion has become more ecology-conscious with Gucci’s desire to help save the rainforest.
The giant fashion conglomerate, which owns brands like Balenciaga, Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen, has teamed up with the Rainforest Action Network to stop using paper made of Indonesian rainforests and plantations.
Besides, they are going to avoid the suppliers Asia Pulp and Paper.
The change of climate is inevitable now but Gucci believe we can make it less notable and dangerous for the world and humanity.
Mimma Viglezio, executive vice president of global communications at the group, said:
Standing rainforests are not a luxury, they’re a necessity if the world wants to stop climate change. Our actions are lowering our own carbon footprint, but we hope that they will also raise awareness inside the fashion industry that it’s possible for our industry to make a difference for rainforests and for the climate.”
Gucci is a respected company and this can convince other fashion makers to stop using paper from those forests. Bosses at the Rainforest Action Network welcome the fashion giant’s dedication to the cause and praise them for the hard work.
Forest campaign director Lafcadio Cortesi told vogue.co.uk:
The Gucci Group’s actions and commitments confirm its place as an industry leader. This move sets a bar for others in fashion and retail and demonstrates the foresight our society needs for our children and grandchildren to have standing rainforests and a stable climate.”
Hope other companies will soon join Gucci and help to save the earth.
Spring/Summer 2010 collection by Gucci was something one could hardly expect to see. We all know recent Gucci disco-hippi style but what has been showcased in Milan this year is far different from that.
To begin the show Frida Giannini presented a clinging multi-strapped dress that immediately tuned everyone in the audience onto the wave of glamour and chic. The modernist streak the designer used to avoid in the past was really impressive and gave the show a new twist.
The white part of the collection is fantastic. Jackets and high-waisted stretch leggings, inset with sections of sports mesh and lashed through the torso and outside leg with crisscross lacings of rubber piping, bristling with silver hardware; motocross and minimized parachute jackets and crocodile bikers; and at the same time very femininne mini dresses – all looked impressive.
Then folloed mostly grey and metallic pallette in tight-fitting pants, unusual skirt suits, and perfect reptile leather jackets. These garments were much closer to what we were used to see in Gucci.
I like writing about celebrities who go for charity. It is so noble, especially nowadays when everyone is focused on himself only.
Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini has designed this black PVD twirl watch in a limited edition to support Mary J. Blige’s charity, the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now.
The exclusive watch costs a lot, $1,895 but it is worth this money. The bracelet-style watch features a face framed in black diamonds and a commemorative FFAWN engraving on the back.
Some part of the proceeds from the sale of the Gucciwatches will be donated to Mary J. Blige’s charity.
The launch of the watch will take place on September 16 at Gucci’s Fifth Avenue flagship store and later it will be available at Gucci boutiques and various department stores stateswide.
Gucci ad campaign for fall and winter is something incredible! Lots of beautiful models, including Natasha Poly, Anja Rubik, Freja Beha Erichsen and Abbey Lee Kershaw, are posing in absolutely gorgeous outfits!
Frida Giannini has given the brand an insatiably fashion-forwards edge making the designs as revolutionary as never before.
Much leather and sequins, chic fabrics and modern styles make the collection really memorable.
Beside the photos you can see a promotional ‘behind-the-scenes’ video.
Stella McCartney – who is famous for struggling for animal rights – makes non-leather shoes and considers it “thrilling”. Using other than leather materials is hard and expensive but the designer is determined to keep on creating fabulous shoes no matter what the costs are.
She said:
It is 70 per cent more expensive for us to make non-leather shoes. Thank God we have a profitable business and can afford to do it. But ultimately, I’m a fashion designer and I see it as my job to create a desirable pair of boots, whether they are made from recycled cotton or a cardboard box. I find the technical challenge thrilling.”
Stella feels really shocked and disappointed about all that teasing she has endured because of her devotion to animal rights, but she remains steadfast in her dedication.
This is what she said:
There are not many areas of minority left that it’s OK to take the p**s out of any more, but you are clearly allowed to go for it with vegetarians.
I went for a job with Tom Ford at Gucci once and I just had to laugh while he was trying to persuade me to work for him. He was showing me around the studio, and it was bathed in chinchilla and lots of exotic furs, and I could just tell how much he loved them.”
Although I’m not so straightforward in my attitude to furs and leather I like how Stella stands her grounds.
Frida Giannini was the one who created 2010 Cruise collection for Gucci. The collection is simple but truly sophisticated.
The colors chosen by the designer are black, white and navy – this means the garments may easily become high-quality wardrobe basics.
The clothes are obviously retro-inspired reminding us of the beauty of the 70s. Boyshort bikini, a couple of short black and white dresses, a floor-sweeping gown and two trouser suits – all look as if the models stepped out of the 1970s and appeared in our time.
The Pre-Fall 2009 Gucciad campaign is presented in dark colors and makes accent on accessories and shoes.
The first pics of the ad photos feature popular model Anja Rubik, also in future we will see Jacquetta Wheeler, Raquel Zimmermann, Natasha Poly and Freja Beha Erichsen.
Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf), the star of popular Gossip Girl was photographed for New York Times Magazine by Terry Richardson. The pics are very bright and colorful.
Not at all. If anything, it’s the opposite. Her style is a little expensive for my taste, but it loudly communicates that she is who she is and that she does what she does. I find that admirable. And she’s always dressed appropriately, which I can’t always say about myself.”
About making movies:
Well, first I’m going on a much-deserved vacation. Then I’m starting work on a comedy called Date Night with Steve Carell and Tina Fey. I play the babysitter and they go out for a date one night and everything goes awry. After that I’m starring in this crazy movie called The Roommate, which is directed by Christian Christiansen and is sort of a re-telling of Single White Female. I’m the emotionally detached narcissist, but it’s early days and I still don’t know who’s playing the psycho opposite me.”
Right pic: Gucci dress, $2,995, and necklace. Alexis Bittar bracelets. Miu Miu shoes.
When we say “stylish” we actually mean “well-dressed”. How many modern stars can we call stylish?
Lots. But who of them are style icons? The question is difficult to answer as almost none of them can be compared to Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Sophia Loren or Audrey Hepburn in their ability to combine garments keeping the same style all the time.
Though skinny jeans look great doctors say they can be dangerous for our health. According to some experts tight jeans might cause a nerve problem called meralgia paresthetica.
Together with high stilettos skinny jeans put great pressure on the femoral cutaneous nerve that runs through the thigh. As a result ladies often feel tingling and burning through the leg.
All that big-breast mania we have now is a complete nonsense! No matter what your bra size is, your bust can look nice if you know how to “wear” it.
And many men like girls with chest much smaller than Pamela Anderson’s! Besides, the majority of designers create their garments for ladies with smaller busts.
