There were lots of rumors about Lily Allen and the fact she was going to become the face of new Chanel bag collection. And now we know for sure that this is absolutely true and the British songbird will represent the world famous brand.
The new Chanel ad campaign is set to be released in October 2009 with Miss Allen looking like a princess.

Lily has been chosen by Karl Lagerfeld because “She’s fun.”
Chanel has always picked only the best and thus Lily might be feeling very privileged as her name is included into the list that already has big names like Nicole Kidman, Audrey Tatou, Kiera Knightley, and Kate Moss.

Christopher Kane has been creating a great collection for Topshop Fall 2009.

Why I say great? Because everything is so secret about it that it just cannot be bad, Topshop can’t disappoint us!
We don’t know much about the line actually. But some things have been revealed.
The collection is going to be the biggest ever for Topshop. It includes 39 pieces (with shoes and bags) and is to be launched this September. The prices will range from around $80 to $300.
This is more than a capsule collection. It’s proper: with bags, shoes, knitwear and dresses. It’s nothing like any other work I’ve done in the past. Everything is a bit “wow”. But If I tell you any more, I’ll be giving the theme away,” Christopher said.
Can’t wait to see what it’s like!

I like Gisele Bundchen and do think she is fabulous but this ad campaign for Spanish Loewe doesn’t show her in her best.
At the photos she is sitting in awkward positions and looks older than she is.

The handbags being advertised are not perfect and look much like many others we already have at the market. Probably I’m too strict to the company but this what comes to my mind when I see the bags. Even so beautiful model cannot make them look better.

The pictures feature Loewe’s Fall 2009 handbag collection.

I think it’s a great idea to invent a vending machine selling flats! That’s a sure thing that every girl had situations in her life when her favorite high-stiletto heels seemed to her the most horrible in the world as feet ached much.
For such occasions now there is a salvation as a machine that sells flat shoes. I really envy female clubbers in Britain who has been enjoying the convenience of the device.

It’s an unspeakable sensation to slip out of your stilettos and bask in the joy of flats at the place you cannot have your ordinary shoes with you!
Flats in the machine cost just 5 pounds (8 dollars) and are said to be super flexible, so they can be folded up and stashed into your handbag.
Rollasole is the name of the machine. The inventor told his inspiration came from the fact he didn’t like helping his girlfriend get home:
After getting tired of giving my girlfriend a piggyback home every Saturday night, I had a ‘eureka’ moment.”
Hope to see it in the States soon!

The Cruise 2010 line from Louis Vuitton is created for girls from megalopolis who love to look sassy and catchy and still feel comfortable in clothes they wear.
The collection includes a pretty short lemon bustier dress, a thin-striped dress with flounces, a black cut-out dress with a pleated skirt, an outfit consisting of a little black dress complemented with an orange belt and a dark violet short sleeved cardigan, and others.

The shoes look very feminine with the clear flower motif, as if Louis Vuitton wanted to bring back the floral fashion. High platform sandals go very well with short skirts thus lengthening the girl’s legs (a good choice for those with shorter legs!!!) Leather peep-toe-and-heel booties look impressive.

Bag theme is very limited in the collection but still allows watching the tendency offered by the designers. Bags are made in a boat shape with thick ropes coming as handles and decorated by an immutable LV pattern.

Charity is a good thing and if you go for it I highly respect you no matter which way you help the needed. Lauren Bush, model and activist, keeps on finding new ways to make people remember about those who are hard up and suffer.
She collaborates with United Nations World Food Programme and promotes her FEED Projects bag initiative. Her latest endeavor has been a launch of an exclusive FEED 2 Kenya bag this week.

The reversible handbag is made of traditional Masai fabric and embellished with beads. The bag is made by women and students from a school for the deaf and takes a day and a half to bead.
The charitable bag will cost $195 and sold exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman from June to September. One hundred dollars from the sale of each bag will go to feed two Kenyan children in school for a year period. The goal of Lauren is to feed 2,000 kids, or raise $100,000 for the cause.
As a designer, Kenya is really inspirational,” said Bush, who has visited the country twice.
We’re trying to highlight the traditional Kenyan culture.”
