Majority of dresses in Herve Leger Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection had huge amount of metal pieces sewn in between bands of material, and covered with buckle rings and chains woven into the fabric. That looked interesting and pretty different to a few dresses which were made in the old Herve Leger tradition.

The totally new thing featured in Herve Leger Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection was the introduction of several non-bandage pieces—a beautiful ponyskin coat and top and a pair of chic cropped wool trousers. To tell you the truth, I didn’t like this change at all because I wouldn’t want Herve Leger to blend in with other fashion brands. They have their signature style which has to be preserved.

Herve Ledger believes in the time of his highly-anticipated fashion shows models were ‘always lively and smiling’ while the today type of the girl is quite different. He said:

If I had to go back to catwalk presentations I would be in a panic… Already the models I find are too skinny, too sad. I knew the age of the super top models, Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford, who were always lively and smiling. Today you go between several défilés and you will see the exact same type of girl – it just doesn’t inspire me.”

The designer, who is no longer in charge of the label he founded in 1985, said that now he prefers intimate showroom presentations for the Hervé L. Leroux label that he currently owns:

Of course I do presentations, I do three presentations a year: spring, fall and cruise, that I show at my showroom and what I like is to have the buyers come to me. They buy, things sell well, and that really gives me the feeling of existing for something because I know that somewhere out there in the world I have clients that adore what I’m doing and that’s really reward enough.”

Herve Ledger label was acquired by the BCBG Max Azria group in 1999 and is currently run by Max Azria.

The supermodel appeared wearing the Herve Leger dress at the promotion of Pantene’s environmentally-friendly line of shampoos and conditioners in Sao Paulo. The dress was nude, short and had a low neck. It was supposed to look sexy but it didn’t. It looked baggy and unflattering on Gisele. Her breast area of the dress wasn’t filled and there were huge unsightly wrinkles on the model’s waist and hips.

So, Gisele is like skinny Miranda Kerr or Alessandra Ambrosio now. But we used to like her for feminine curves she had!!!

At the premiere of the film in Hollywood on Monday (April 26) stars like Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mickey Rourke, Silvester Stallone, Olivia Munn and other gathered on the red carpet. They all looked happy that their work on the movie was over and they could hear what critics say about it.

Ladies looked stunning and it was obvious most of them spent lots of hours thinking over the outfits and entire looks. The most brilliant-looking girl at the event was Scarlett Johansson. She smiled all the time talking to other attendees of the premiere and giving autographs to people.

To shine on the red carpet the actress chose a white sculptural assymetrical Armani Prive dress, with glitzy silver shoes and a box clutch adding an extra-glam chic. As finishing touches she went for Harry Winston earrings. Beautiful!

Scarlett’s co-star, Gwyneth Paltrow wore a white Giorgio Armani shorts suit made of an exquisite metallic silk jacquard fabric. She looked modern and unususal but still very elegant. Black open-toed shoes and a clutch complemented the attire.

The coincidence of colors of the girls’ outfits was amazing especially taking into account the fact it is not the first time they’ve dressed similarly. Just a few days ago they both sported grey dresses to the premiere in Los Angeles. Haven’t they agreed to wear same colors?

Olivia Munn appeared wearing a trendy nude cocktail dress from Herve Leger which made her look hot. Metallic heels, Jamie Wolf earrings and a clutch accessorized the look.

Michelle Monaghan looked pretty and young in her plum strapless dress and eccentric gold sandals.

Robert Downey Jr arrived at the Theater with his wife Susan Levin. Susan looked gorgeous in her dark navy mini.

Another couple that was pleasant to look at is Mickey Rourke and his girlfriend Elena Kuletskaya. The girl went for a glamorous clinging strapless dress.

The presentation of the range was held at Grand Hotel Intercontinental on Thursday (April 8) in Paris, France. Gisele was wearing a pretty mini-dress by Herve Leger.

In the interview during the launch party the Brazilian supermodel said she would never be able to become a fashion designer because has no necessary skills or the patience to create clothes and accessories full-time.

Gisele said:

I am very inspired by nature and like to use that for my ideas, but actually designing them – no way. I would be a disaster.”

However, working on her flip-flop collection was interesting for her. And she was very concerned about the fact the footwear was environmentally-friendly.

She told WWD:

Nature is very close to my heart, and it is important for me that people who buy my flip-flops are made aware of the environment.”

The dress she wore on Sunday in Los Angeles was chic. It was short, teal-coloured and looked perfect on the young singer.

Cyrus says she is desperate to do whatever she can to help.

She tells Usa Today:

I’m going to auction it (the dress) off on eBay for the Red Cross. It’s the little things you can do. I think it’s really important that everybody come together because disaster relief isn’t just now. It’s how we’re going to help years from now. We have to restore an entire place. It just can’t be one person, one foundation, one group of people. All people have to come together”.

While some were burning with anticipation of who was to win, others, including me, were looking forward to seeing fashion choices of the evening. And, sincerely speaking, we were not disappointed!

Lots of beautifully dressed ladies arrived to the event and sashayed on the red carpet showing off themselves.

The outfit I liked the most was worn by eccentric Lady GaGa. Custom-made Giorgio Armani Prive gown looked fabulous! I really mean it. I loved the dress! Of course it was far from ordinary but the color was nice and the design wasn’t aggressive. Rather it brought some unexpected femininity to GaGa’a look, something that she usually misses. The shoes were shocking though. They looked great but were hardly safe to wear.

Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in an unusual silver-white gown, white peep-toe shoes and absolutely sumptuous bracelets!

Lea Michele glammed up the red carpet sporting a sexy black one-shoulder dress with a feathered hemline and matching black heels.

Next comes gorgeous Marisa Miller in a snowy white vintage Gucci mini-dress and black Yves Saint Laurent pumps. The supermodel looked perfect! I’ve got one question though, why does she always choose short white dresses for red carpet events?

Mary J. Blige looked brilliant in a silk crepe fuschia Gucci gown with cut out detail. The black rubberized crocodile envelope clutch from the same brand complemented the attire.

17-year-old Party in the USA star strutted the carpet in Herve Leger short frock and Balenciaga shoes, accessorised with Judith Leiber bag and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira Schwartz.

Rihanna dazzled everyone with her floor-sweeping feathered gown. Looked great!

Nicole Kidman went classic in her long black satin dress with a beautiful neck detail.

Katy Perry opted for a flowered Zac Posen’s dress which left the singer’s back exposed. A bright red clutch was the wrong choice obviously.

Heidi Klum looked lovely and womanly in a short sparkling dress with a low neck. Her butterfly ring was fantastic!

The Black Eyed Peas frontwoman wore a pretty blue one-shoulder Pucci dress, Le Silla shoes, and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Carrie Underwood rocked a chic white dress that flattered her complexion a lot.

Beyonce looked superb in a hip-hugging Stephane Rolland dress and Casadei shoes. Lorraine Schwartz jewels added glamour to her look.
