Pregnancy is a period when most mothers-to-be stop thinking about fashion.

But why, Ladies? Always keep in mind that a woman should look perfect at any time and any place despite all the circumstances.

Pregnancy is not a disease that makes you look ugly. No!!! It is something that accentuates your beauty, your femininity!

Of course, you need to change your wardrobe but it doesn’t mean you should dress in formless garments. Here are some do’s and don’ts you must think of before shopping for maternity clothes.

Don’t forget your personal style. If you used to wear jeans and flowy tops find the pieces that are the same style but bigger in size.

A recent survey has proved that women normally base their perception of their body shape on models and Hollywood starlets, rather than on ordinary women. However, those fashion icons and film stars are 15-23 percent lower in weight and 5-6 inches taller than the ‘average’ American woman. As a result we have so many ladies depressed about their so-called ‘body problems’.

Members Only is the popular 80’s clothing brand. It made a comeback currently with their signature nylon jackets and they went into the leggings sphere which has been well took by Rihanna, Fergie, Keri Hilson.

Members Only’s Liquid Leggings were a huge hit with 20,000 units shipped!

Members Only is now set to launch a new denim range for spring 2009.

The line will consist of skinny jeans and a few shorts.

The assortiment will be as a classic style and also the “Graffiti” which is a white denim style with splashes of orange and pink, and the “Quilted”.

All products will be made of quality Japanese denim. They will be at a judicious price for premium denim, starting under $200.

Yesterday the Levi’s brand announced the introduction of a new figure enhancing jean for women named Levi’s Ultimate Lift 544. The line is designed to give the wearer’s derriere a lift, due to a special combination of a fit technology, fabric and design.

The new Ultimate Lift jean is the latest addition to our great range of beautifully fitting Levi’s jeans for women,” said Loreen Zakem, Levi’s Brand president of wholesale. “There is no bigger fashion feat for women than finding a pair of perfect fitting jeans that make you look amazing, and that’s exactly what Ultimate Lift jeans are all about.”

The jean is intended to really lift the wearer’s rear into the cup shape of the seat resulting in a firmly-lifted derriere. The fabric that is used to make new jeans has toning properties and exceptional stretch recovery. It contributes to great hold and shape retention.

J. C. Penney Company, Inc. declared the launch of I “Heart” Ronson, a full femine’s fashion sportswear line designed by Charlotte Ronson to be sold exclusively at JCPenney.

The new fashion line, established for JCPenney’s trendy lifestyle consumer, will present in JCPenney stores, online at jcp.com, and via catalog for spring 2009.

An rationalizer in the fashion industry, Charlotte Ronson, 31,  is known for her trendsetting style, making her a favorite designer among the fashion industry, celebrities and socialites.

I “Heart” Ronson, which takes its awakening from today’s modern woman, mixes Ronson’s signature feminine touch with a vintage aesthetic to create  chic, downtown style without exertion.

I am delighted to create a new collection, I “Heart” Ronson for JCPenney. I see this as a great opportunity to open up my sense of fashion and style to a much wider audience,” said Charlotte Ronson. “This is a tremendous opportunity to create a brand with appeal to a diverse customer base that I might not have been able to reach until now. Targeted at 21-35-year-old women, the line includes knit tops, tees, blouses, sweaters, jeans, skirts, dresses and jackets.

Prices are about $15 for layering tees and tank-tops, $26 to $44 for tops sweaters and jeans and $40 to $65 for dresses and jackets.

As well as her fashion design background, Ronson is known for being the sister of DJ and Lindsay Lohan gal-pal Samantha Ronson as well as DJ and music producer Mark Ronson.

Fairy tales and old mythology are a permanent source of awakening in the kingdom of fashion, style and advertising. The new Meltin’ Pot clothing ad campaign is the latest to draw from this rich sphere.

The impressive ads describe a current take on old classics with the idols wearing the latest from the Meltin’ Pot line.

They have unique style for this idea. So, instead of a ardent kiss, poor Sleeping Beauty gets a uneducated awakening with a car jumper cable on her hands of a fop in jeans and a leather jacket. Happy end!

We also know the Greek myth ‘The Judgement of Paris’, where three goddesses: Hera, Athena and Aphrodite are arbited by Paris, a Phrygian mortal.

Finally, the third ad’s pic shows Beauty having her dance with the Beast in a funky denim gown.

Advertising Agency Saatchi & Saatchi, of Copenhagen, Denmark brings new idea for the ad campaign promoting Quiksilver Deep Blue jeans by creating dark see and blue fish creatures that live in the deep waters from Quiksilver jean.

The ads were created by creative director Simon Wooller, and Art Directors / Copywriters Rasmus Petersen, Lasse Bækbo Hinke.

Great execution of a great idea!  This ad gets to be one of my favorite denim ads.

It’s time we continued with Fall 2008 shoe trends. As we’ve already mentioned before, this fall footwear fashion is all about bright hues and diverse styles.

Motorcycle boots

You don’t have to ride a Harley to get some edge into your wardrobe. Try motorcycle boots this fall to feel hippie and stylish. Leather and suede, with metal hardware, chains and pockets, just pick your favorite. Experts suggest wearing them with tights, flowing tops and colorful scarves which gave them a softer look.

Satin heels

Talking about elegance, is there anything more elegant and feminine than silky satin pumps? Probably not. Satin shoes are all bright this fall. For a look that really pops, pair bold color satin heels with a simple dress or jeans. You can create a really edgy look with bold printed stockings in matching colors.

Mary Jane heels

Retro chic never gets old. As some say, fashion repeats and intensifies iconic styles.

Ballet flats

Ballet flats get to be more pointed-toe than the popular rounded toes. Experts advise wearing them with short skirts, narrow-leg pants and skinny jeans.
Generally, toes have become more pointed, almond shaped this season, though peep toes are still favored.

Bejeweled sandals

They also make a comeback, being an ultimate must for flirty cocktail dresses, full-flow skirts and satin evening pants. As In style.com states, if you’ve got the legs, then don’t be afraid to flaunt these flattering styles.

Heeled oxfords

Oxfords come in the form of booties, with peep toes, almond-shaped toes and coffee colored hues, with laces, ribbons and tartan. These shoes are really feminine in design though might seem a bit too masculine in shape.

Ombre shoes

And some color tips now. Colors are big this fall, preferable colors are fuchsia, cobalt, and bright yellow.

Cobalt blues and bright reds bring a playful aspect to any look,” says Meghan Cleary, host of Shoe Therapy on HSN.

Purple is a huge trend for fall footwear. Black and gold is sleek and chic for fall and winter. You should keep outfits simple if wearing bold colors or chunky hardware. This season’s footwear is too good to be hidden. And don’t forget about one of the boldest looks these days – layer socks over tights!

Fall 2008 shoe trends are bold, sparkling and sometimes a little wild as animal prints, primary colors, crystals, and motorcycle inspired boots. By the way, suede and satin are back this fall too!

So here are the hottest styles for shoes Autumn/Winter 2008/2009:

Ankle boots

You’ll find them in all shapes and sizes, from fierce gladiator boots, which are like wintry version of this summer’s hit gladiator sandals to femme-fatal. If you have short legs or thick ankles, any footwear cropped at the ankle won’t make your legs slimmer or longer. So for a more flattering effect try a slimline, low cut, dark colored-style and wear them with the matching tights or skinny jeans. That way you visually extend your legs and make them slimmer.

Don’t be afraid to look a bit less feminine this fall. Though when pairing military boots with some cute dress you get a totally new and bold look. Try to put on a new face for a while!

Exotic skins, especially snake skin is hugely popular this upcoming season. Snake skin was one of the main highlights of Gucci Fall/Winter 2008/2009 women’s collection – along with matching bags.

Giraffe and leopard prints are great on pumps, stilettos and wedges. There’s only one thing you should keep in mind when turning to animal prints – everything is good in moderation.
