Jonathan Saunders loves showing his collections in London. He has launched his Spring-Summer 2010 range at London Fashion Week and feels very excited about exhibiting the Fall 2010-Winter 2011 in the British capital, too.

He said:
I’m going to show in London again in February; I just loved showing here in September. It’s much easier than New York because I’m still based in London, and I always will be.”
However, the Scottish designer will return to New York next autumn as the US offers lots of good chances.
He explained:
I will go back to show in New York next autumn. It’s just such a huge country – and nationwide stores like Saks and Barney’s give you such huge reach. It’s good for a business.”

Does this mean the world economy is really recovering from the crisis or the designers just don’t want to miss the celebration of London Fashion Week 25th anniversary?
Hard to say. But what is sure is that the Scottish designer, Jonathan Saunders decided to join the string of top designers – including Burberry, Pringle and Matthew Williamson – to return to the British capital for the Spring/Summer 2010 shows in September.

Jonathan said:
I am absolutely delighted to be returning to show in London this September. London is where I’m based. I have a studio here and it’s very close to my heart and I also have a lot of friends who show in London. Where you show is a combination of where you feel creative and where your business is.”
We are glad to hear such news too. It means we will have a chance to enjoy new amazing designs from the couturier. Can’t wait to see what he presents!
Jonathan Saunders is popular with celebrities, his fan list includes such big names as Thandie Newton and Sienna Miller. He has shown collections at New York Fashion Week for the past two years.
Harold Tillman chairman of the British Fashion Council said:
We are delighted that Jonathan has announced his return to London today as part of our 25 year celebrations. The excitement ahead of September continues to grow.”
Last month, Burberry Prorsum, that prefers to shows in Milan, announced the label will be closing London Fashion Week to mark its anniversary. This is what creative director Christopher Bailey said:
London is our home – it’s the heart of this global luxury brand and the centre of all our creativity.”
