I can hardly explain why but I have never associated Amanda Seyfried with anything bad, obscene or even risky. She looks innocent and cute to me. So, you can imagine my shock when I first read she was filming a role of Linda Lovelace, adult movie star. It’s just not her, not Amanda I’ve seen in other films. And to tell you the truth I don’t want to get disappointed with her daring change of image, even for a movie.

Amanda Seyfried, who appears on the cover of Glamour March 2012 issue, does sound like a good family girl inside the magazine. She talks about her ‘crazy female brain’ that makes her think about kids and marriage, being competitive but loyal to other young actresses, her ex-boyfriend Dominic Cooper who she can probably have a baby with if she fails to find a perfect man for that and even the fact she will never do a full frontal for a movie.

Amanda Seyfried on watching Linda Lovelace’s famous adult movie Deep Throat: “What surprised me is the amount of pubic hair! I’m pretty sure I would never do a full frontal in a movie—for personal reasons, I wouldn’t really want to show that.”

Amanda Seyfried on kids and commitment: “Oh yeah, I think about kids all the time. I feel like the next person I commit to, that’s going to be the guy who I’m going to have kids with. That’s in my crazy female brain. So that’s why I’m like, ‘I can’t commit.’ ”

Amanda Seyfried on whether she feels competitive with other actresses: “Yeah, sometimes. But the funny thing is, the girls that I’m always up against for roles are pretty nice and cool, like Emma Watson. She’s awesome. She’s really funny and smart. And Carey Mulligan. It’s flattering to be up against her because she’s really good, and she’s cool too…I think the era of the diva actress is coming to an end.”

In the interview for Elle UK June 2011 issue Cameron Diaz shares about her new boyfriend and ex Justin Timberlake, diet and marriage. Read the highlights:

1. Victoria Beckham. She has never been a good singer or performer so we all heaved a sigh of relief when she left the stage and occupied herself with designing. Her first attempts can hardly be called successful. She was criticized and named mediocre but thanks God she didn’t quit.

And now she presents her fabulous collections together with fashion moguls like Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg and Oscar de la Renta. She doesn’t consider herself a professional though and says she still has a lot to learn.

2. Gwen Stefani. She is a fantastic singer but she has always been notable for her outfits as well. Very attractive and sexy her style has been imitated by her fans and even fellow celebrities. And who could think she was the person behind those looks.

Since an early age Gwen Stefani has been remaking her dresses and other clothing pieces in order to look more modern and polished. When she felt she wanted this on a bigger scale she started L.A.M.B. fashion line, which is now loved by millions. Gwen isn’t going to stop on what she’s already achieved. She longs for more and we can only encourage her.

3. Jessica Simpson. She’s built a fashion empire worth a billion dollars but couldn’t develop her own style. She designs wonderful pieces but dresses like a slob. We don’t know what her problem is but we do know Jessica is good at designing, much better than in singing and probably this is why she is focused on fashion now.

She has said the secret of her success in fashion industry is that she creates things for real women, not for celebrities, because real women often can’t look like celebrities no matter how much they aspire to it.

4. Justin Timberlake. No one could expect that Justin would become a fashion designer but in 2006 he teamed up with a friend Trace Ayala and the two launched William Rast label.

Since then on every season the duo have presented their ranges that are a big success with Timberlake’s fans and fashionistas all over the world.

5. Jennifer Lopez. She launched her first fashion line in 2003 and since then a few more ranges were presented to public. However, her fame of a singer overshadows the popularity of her fashion designs. But while Jennifer hasn’t succeeded in selling her clothes she has made good money on perfume. People love her fragrances and each year she sells loads of bottles.

This list could also include such stars as Madonna, Dannii Minogue, Beth Ditto and others but I want to stop here because the five mentioned above have made a lot and they really deserve being named the best.

Justin confessed that his fashion inspiration is a world-known rock-star – Sir Mick Jagger. He says lots of his designs are based on the Rolling Stones’ legendary style.

He told MTV:

There is blatant correlation between music and fashion. I think since the beginning of rock ‘n’ roll, people have wanted to dress like rock stars. I still find old Mick Jagger jackets that I wish I could pull out of his closet or something. Of course, they wouldn’t fit me. Very tight.”

Discussing this line is interesting for one more reason – it has been created by Justin Timberlake, idol for girls all over the world, in collaboration with Trace Ayala. Besides, the line includes as many trends as one can ever do.

The list of hottest trends featured in WR collection includes: army green fatigue jackets and cargo pants, black leather paired with gray sweatshirts, navajo-blanket coats, nylon flight jackets, and raccoon tails clipped to belt loops. So many for one range! Fantastic job, guys!

Fewer denim items were seen on the runway this time that means the label isn’t planning to focus on that only, like it happenned last season. The strongest accesnt this time was given to leather: in pants, jackets, tops, shoes, vests, shorts, belts, etc.

A group of world-famous designers were asked to help raise money for a charity organisation that deals with homeless families and women who lost everything but want to get back on their feet.

The task was easy and creative – just right for a designer – to decorate small papier-mâché houses which would later be sold on auction.

Among those who found time and desire to help were Oscar de la Renta, Issak Mizrahi, Diane von Furstenberg, Vera Wang, Donna Karan, Victoria and David Beckham, Justin Timberlake and lots of other celebrities who had hardly ever dealt with designing but wanted to do something useful for people who suffer.

The houses that we got in the result were pretty little things – colorful and spirited – which might go under a Christmas tree.

Vera Wang’s house was the most delicate and exquisite. The designer decorated it with lace, crystals, and flowers. Very nice to look at!

Isaac Mizrahi made the cutest house. He used a lot of pink and sparkle.

Oscar de la Renta’s house is simple but sophisiticated just like his clothes – nothing looks out of place.

Diane Von Furstenberg brough her feeling of fashion into the house design. It is all about patterns and positive attitude.

Donna Karan’s house looks dark and inhospitable from the outside but it is very nice and cosy inside.

Justin Timberlake worked on behalf of his fashion line and marked his house with William Rast logo. The house is in men’s style: very simple.

The action has been held on Charitybuss.com from November 9 and will last to November 30. Be fast to get a piece from couture and bring use to the society.

Justin is fronting Play, that is, the Givenchy fragrance brand, which is set to be rolled out in the U.S. this fall. It firstly appeared in Europe a year ago and was a great success. The singer seems to be the best person to represent the brand.

We were looking for a man who’s recognized all over the world, someone new to the world of perfumery, and with great seductive potential,” said Pamela Baxter, president and chief executive officer of LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics N.A. and president and ceo of Christian Dior Inc.

Most importantly, we needed to find a man who could embody the modern elegance specific to the Givenchy brand as well as all the facets of Play.”

Actually there are two scents Timberlake presents – Play and Play Intense. Both were created by Symrise perfumers Lucas Sieuzac and Emilie Coppermann with Françoise Donche, creative director for fragrance at Parfums Givenchy.

Both fragrances share a unique note — Caribbean amyris wood, a soft woody note similar to sandalwood and cedar.

Play includes notes of bergamot, mandarin orange, bitter orange and grapefruit; a heart of Caribbean amyris wood, black pepper and coffee flower, and a drydown of vetiver and patchouli. Play Intense has top notes of bergamot and mandarin, a heart of Caribbean amyris wood, pink pepper and coffee flower, and a drydown of labdanum, tonka bean, vetiver and patchouli.

The scents come in two sizes, 50 ml. and 100 ml. Play will cost $53 for the 50 ml. and $71 for the 100 ml.; while Play Intense will be priced at $57 for 50 ml. , and $76 for 100 ml.

About 1,800 department stores in the U.S. will sell the perfume, including Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s and Sephora.

The two scents are not new to the market and they began selling in Europe last August.

Because the U.S. is one of our largest markets, we wanted to work out any kinks in Play before bringing it to the U.S.,” said Alain Lorenzo, president of Parfums Givenchy.

Advertising with Timberlake was shot by Tom Munro and will break in September fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazines. Besides, an extensive Internet campaign is due soon.

However, this fragrance deal is not Timberlake’s only project these days. He also works on his ready-to-wear line, William Rast, and music-producing, and acting projects. And he is good at all of them and can fulfill them in time. How does he do that?

Well, you appoint and employ people who understand the vision of each brand — and you treat each brand separately, like the rest of them don’t exist,” said Timberlake.

It’s the same as in entertainment. Doing a film is a completely different process than, for instance, putting a song together. They have their similarities, but at the root of it they’re polar opposites. So, I think you just treat everything accordingly and specifically.”

He likes helping young and now infamous people to have good careers.

I have Esmée, we just put her single out in Europe,” he said.

I have a band from Memphis called Free Sol — like a rap-rock band, it’s really cool. And I also have an indie songwriter with an amazing voice, Matt Morris, and a girl named Bren from Staten Island. As far as music is concerned, my efforts are to focus in on that and get them off the ground.”

Timberlake’s plans do not include creating his own fragrances:

I don’t know that I would be completely comfortable with a my-name fragrance,” he said.

It feels like cheating, almost. It doesn’t seem like you’re creating anything.”

He added:

There’s some level of narcissism you have to put in check to do one”.

Trace Ayala, his William Rast design partner, added:

He’s right. British girls dress pretty sharp – in America people tend to wear their clothes looser.”

The ‘SexyBack’ singer, whose new collection was launched in London store Selfridges on June 29th, says he prefers a smarter look and doesn’t like it when ladies wear loose, casual clothing.

Besides, he reveals he dislikes an unnatural look:

Spray tans are the worst and women in velour trousers.”

William Rast focuses mainly on denim and Justin considers it important to get a pair of jeans that flatter you.

He says:

Ask any American and they will tell you that you are never too old to wear jeans, but there are rules you need to stick to, whether you’re a boy or a girl. They shouldn’t be so loose that you can fit twins in there, or so tight that you can see the shape of your calves. And if you’re going to dress them up with nice shoes and a jacket, the socks have got to be good – don’t go teaming them with plain old white sports socks.”

Well, it’s just one man’s opinion. If you are a fan of Justin go for his fashion preferences, if you’re not, stay with your own ones.

The duo became world famous when they were hired by William Rast founder Justin Timberlake to work on the label three seasons ago.

And now they have announced they are setting up their own high-end clothing range called Paris68.

The designs are to hit the shelves in autumn 2010. The range will include both womenswear and menswear.

Female line will consist of handmade knitwear, dresses and leather jackets.

Menswear collection will include high-end denim, made-to-measure suits, tailoring and leather jackets.

This line will not be the first to have been launched by Johan. He had founded the J. Lindeberg fashion house but later had to quit developing his former label to be able to focus on his new project.

The Swedish designer told that since the label was purchased by investment firm Proventus in 2007 he stopped working with it.

And another piece of good news – the designing couple will continue collaborating with Justin Timberlake to create William Rast collections.
