US Glamour Magazine has cover girl British actress Keira Knightley in November 2008 issue.

does the cover of UK Glamour Magazine November 2008 issue.

Unfortunately, it is the Allure cover August 2008 via German Glamour cover.

Surely they could have taken some newer photo, or at least other photo from the editing.

Victoria Beckham UK Glamour november 2008

Hot cover girl talks about her boys, family, love of vintage fashion and putting on those PVC trousers again. Also Victoria says that ’s her habby and soul man.

She talks why she weeped during the Spice Girls reunion tour.

I had to keep the smiles under wraps because that’s not the image I have of myself any more, but it was quite amazing. Good for the kids to see what I used to do. I don’t think I’ll ever do it again … I find fashion and perfume is where I’m more comfortable.”

She compares notes with the magazine:

About pregnant:

I’m not pregnant, and I’m not trying to get pregnant at the moment,” she tells, “I’m so lucky to have the boys [Brooklyn, 9; Romeo, 6; and Cruz, 3] and they’re such great kids. Nice, free spirits and incredibly polite, which I think is very important.”

It takes a lot of energy, and the thought of having another baby now would be a little bit much”

Maybe in a year or two but right now, I’m having amazing career opportunities and I want to enjoy the boys.”

About her spirituality:

I’m really positive. I think that’s the way you have to be. I believe you visualise it and it will happen. I’m very in touch with my spiritual self in that way.”

About David:

We get on really, really well.. We are so lucky to have each other. He’s happy with his football. It’s a big challenge for him here, and as a family, we’re happy. We’ve never really rowed a lot. I think we’re soul mates and we really complement each other — as do the fragrances. He’s good-looking and I’m funny.”

About new kitchen adventure:

She’s recently become a fan of making cupcakes.

I’m very good at lasagna and spaghetti Bolognese,” she says. “I don’t eat them myself because I’m vegetarian. But for David the night before a game, it’s good to make sure he has protein and carbohydrates. … I’m very good at Dora The Explorer cupcakes too – out of a packet.”

About her signature style:

I wouldn’t want to stop experimenting, but at the same time I do have certain signature things. For instance, I always wear Christian Louboutins … Hermes are my signature bag.”

In November 2008 issue you can also find out about explaining how Keith Richards inspired her wardrobe, sharing her beauty secret, ’s hairdresser, James Brown launching his regular new column by spilling the beans on easy ways to get red carpet hair.

Very interesting! Don’t miss!

Plenty of celebrities are fond of collecting retro clothing now.

The sales are booming as never before. However, retro footwear is not so popular with collectors. Probably, it’s just a matter of time…

Retro babe

Some footwear designers have created their recent collections on the basis of vintage ones.

For example, in the early 2000s, , inspired by ’s Seventies’ platforms, produced a collection leading to a resurrection of the shoe designer’s career. Now de Havilland’s fantastic pop-art python-skin heels regularly sell for high prices at auctions.

Terry de Havilland platform shoes

Original by top designers of the past such as , and are also hunted down by collectors from various countries.

Audrey Hepburn

was photographed in vintage footwear, sparking great interest in the original models of .

caused a stir when she was photographed at the Helpmann Awards in Australia wearing a nice pair of vintage limited-edition Roger Vivier stilettos, studded with crystals.

Roger Vivier shoes

There are still plenty of retro available, many of them by iconic designers, for relatively little money.

You can buy a pair for half a price of your skirt or blouse.

Here is a list of retro designed by couturiers of the past. They surely deserve your attention and can be good pieces in any collection.

Salvatore Stilettos

Mid-fifties

Salvatore is famous for the quality of his craftsmanship and the extravagance of his designs. His stilettos were considered glamorous and a whole generation of Hollywood stars loved wearing them.

was one of those who preferred his heels, she owned 40 pairs.

From 1956, stilettos became much higher after the Italians started to strengthen plastic heels by running an aluminium spigot down the shaft.

Salvatore Ferragamo

Perhaps the most well-known pair of stilettos were the scarlet satin rhinestone-studded stilettos that became famous after starred wearing them in the 1953 film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

and Jane Russell show off their footwear in Some Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

In 1999 the original were sold at Christies in New York for $42,000.

It’s worth collecting them for they represent the glamour of a golden Hollywood age and just because they look beautifully and are perfectly made.

Pilgrim Pump

Early sixties

These were very popular with ladies in the early Sixties. They were flat and square-toed, designed to be worn with short skirts.

In 1965, Vivier’s series of Pilgrim pumps, as they were later called, complemented a collection of ’s Mondrian-inspired mini-.

The became incredibly popular among duchesses and ordinary dolly birds as they looked nice and were comfortable and easy to wear.

Pilgrim pumps Vivier

That year Vivier sold over 200,000 pairs. His customers were the Duchess of Windsor and Catherine Deneuve, Jackie Onassis, and many other famous women.

, a shoe designer says:

Vivier’s spoke by themselves. He understood that a shoe has a bone structure and that has to be perfect. He covers his with beautiful embroidery and embellishment, but underneath it all is a perfect plain pump with perfect proportions - pure perfection.’

You can collect them for at least two reasons: the Pilgrim pump was the most imitated shoe shape of the decade and it is associated with the sophisticated chic of Sixties Paris.

Andre Ankle Boot
1964

In the early Sixties, such were considered to be fit only for old ladies. The Parisian couturier changed all that. His space-age ankle became extremely popular when they were shown in his 1964 Moon Girl collection. It was more than a sensation.

Andre Courreges anckle boots

The were comfortable, easy to pull on and off, in soft white kid.

However, soon got furious as some shoe designers, such as Kurt Geiger, Sacha and Ravel, started copying the boot.

He had to ban the Press from his shows for the next few seasons.

You can add them to your collection since many fashion pundits are tipping the Sixties for the next big retro revival, so get in first with some covetable originals, which also play a fascinating part in fashion history.

To be continued…

is designing clothes. Is it true? Sexy model is gossiped to have her own clothing line. She reportedly inked a deal with 284, which is a new line from the Sao Paolo-based retailer Daslu.

Naomi Campbell

Her new collection will be for strong women. Do they mean strong women who prefer to throw their BlackBerries at people? Or does she mean another kind of strength…

Supermodel has been so successful with her Topshop line. Let’s say good luck to Naomi!

said she’d like to create her own clothing line too! She has already entered the design game, recently made a collection of T-shirts for U.S. retailer Wet Seal.

Ashlee Simpson

Fashion is always something that’s fun for me,” Simpson said in an interview Saturday.

In the near future, I’ll be designing my own clothes as well, so I’m looking forward to that.”

Simpson said she has her own unique style but confesses to being an admirer of Deborah Harry’s look.

She was definitely sexy but wasn’t trying to be and I loved that,” Simpson said of the Blondie singer.

Ashlee enjoys knitting but says there aren’t any immediate plans to skill any baby booties for her new roll of joy when he or she arrives in late fall.

I really like to do it (knitting) but I always kind of have a hole in it. I don’t have anything made yet for my baby but maybe I will.”

Simpson still has fashion on the front burner as she takes on the role as the face of a Canadian clothing line, she is the spokeswoman for the relaunched Request line, an affordable apparel brand comprising casual and dressy separates.

Canadian punk rock star also launches Abbey Dawn Clothing Line: “It’s Absolutely My Wardrobe,” she said.

Avril Lavigne

The collection consists of skirts, hoodies, skinny jeans, and T-shirts and features a lot of stars, skulls, zebra print and checkers, according to Avril. She also plans to add sunglasses and to the collection, which is available in stores now.

Every eight weeks I have new pieces coming into the store,” told MTV News. “So we’re designing like crazy — like, tons of stuff — and it’s so much fun.”

It was a great opportunity for me to do this, and now that I’m older and more into fashion and stuff, I’ve put together a cute little line. It’s totally my style and everything I would wear. It’s absolutely my wardrobe.”

My dad gave me the nickname Abbey Dawn when I was a little girl,” she said. “It was a street he saw. And all my friends in high school called me Abbey. I always really liked the name. I didn’t know if maybe I would name my girl Abbey if I had a girl one day, or a song name. So I had a clothing line first, so I named it Abbey Dawn.”

The singer’s very pleased to ultimately see her outfits on fans and doesn’t even mind when they come to her concerts in the same thing she’s dressing.

I’ve seen some of the fans at my shows wearing my shirts, and sometimes I’ve been onstage wearing [one of the shirts],” she said, “and they have the same one on, and I’m like, ‘Hey, nice shirt,’ and I get really excited.

[I'm looking forward to] seeing people walk around with it,” she added. “It will be really cool.”

These days, it’s totally not enough just to be a supermodel, one has to be talented and gifted in all celeb spheres. Some models turn to acting, like , some launch a perfume or design their own fashion line, and some turn to singing. Unfortunately, looking great on the catwalk doesn’t guarantee success in the recording studio…
