Ex-wife of Mick Jagger Jerry Hall, who started working in modeling business in the Seventies, has seen career resurgence recently as Karl Lagerfeld has chosen her for Chanel’s handbag campaign.

Inspired by Colette’s Chéri, the images will be based around the novel’s tale of a young handsome man and his relationship with a woman twice his age, whose part the fashion icon of the past is going to play.

Model Baptiste Giabiconi will star as Jerry’s toyboy. He has already played in Lagerfeld’s silent mini-film, which was screened during Chanel’s Paris-Moscow show.

Karl Lagerfeld has chosen many famous modes as well as celebrities for his campaigns. Among those were: Claudia Schiffer, Nicole Kidman, Keira Knightley and now it is Jerry Hall who will be the face of Chanel.

He is so wonderful,” Jerry Hall tells the Daily Telegraph. “It was the best experience I’ve had with a photographer for many years. I actually enjoyed myself. Well, I am past my prime, so it was a treat.”

And not only the face – the body, too. This bed sheet story will certainly be a success as modern love life has lost the time notion and short adventures prime.

I wonder if the audience will like Lagerfeld’s idea.

On Tuesday Swedish fashion house H&M spokeman said Britain’s Matthew Williamson would design its summer 2009 women’s collection.

The line by Williamson will be launched worlwide on April 23 and a summer range for both men and women will get in stores in mid-May.

Matthew has such a good eye and a way for working with prints that he mixes up in a new way. When he combines these things, you get a very contemporary London look,” H&M creative adviser Margareta van den Bosch said in a statement.

Williamson extended censorious applause with his colorful lines in London in 1997 and his designs are often worn by famous people such as Keira Knightley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Thandie Newton, Mischa Barton.

I love the fact that H&M have created a new phenomenon in fashion through the pioneering concept of collaborating with high-end designers to create one-off limited edition capsule collections. I am thrilled that my creations for H&M will be accessible to and hopefully enjoyed by so many people around the world” Williamson said.

H&M has a long history of cooperation with popular fashion designers.

Previous collaborations were collections by Comme des Garcons-founder Rei Kawakubo, Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, and others.

Taking a break from work, Natalie Portman made the most of her stoppage by paying a visit to the Picasso exhibition at the Grand Palais museum in Paris on Monday October 20. She wore dark scarf and navy blue coat.

Paris Hilton was shopping in London’s Notting Hill district on October 20. She wore funny black-and-white scarf with skulls.

Now Keira Knightley graces in the latest issue of US Glamour magazine November 2008 and she looks pretty beautiful.

Keira Knightley is a true Glamour woman in every feeling of the word. She establishes it by posing for cover in a delightful and sexy Stella McCartney sweater.

In the interview for Glamour she talks about her choice of being an actress and how her parents would have been much happier with her doing anything apart becoming an actress.

My mother is a writer and my dad’s an actor. But, no, they didn’t. I think they would have been happier if I hadn’t done the same thing as them.

I think they would have been over the moon about a career that has certain securities that you certainly don’t get if you’re an actress. Nobody knows whether you’re going to do well or not.

About the Duchess of Devonshire:

She’s spoiled; she can be lonely in a huge group of people, which I find fascinating. She wants as much attention as she can possibly get.

About nudity:

Pretty comfortable. I certainly wouldn’t do it if I wasn’t…. I detest unnecessary nudity and what it says about women in society. I think you see a lot of films where, Oh, yes, the woman gets her tits out again and runs around naked for no reason. And you kind of go, Ugh, do we have to?

British young actress Emma Watson, who plays the character of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films, does the cover of the November issue of Canadian magazine, Flare.

This fashion magazine published a short interview with  Watson, where she talks about the Harry Potter films, her relationship with co-stars, her future, a few more details about her most challenging scenes in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is due for release in July 2009.

I had to cry for the first time when Hermione watches Ron kiss Lavender. It was difficult to bring up all that emotion and hurt in front of a full crew, and not just once, but over and over again from different angles.”

Emma Watson said she wants to take a break from her acting career to concentrate on her education. Inside the magazine she talks about the years she spent on the set filming the Harry Potter series.

I wanted everything to be so perfect. I would work so hard to memorize my lines and the scene; we would have to stop shooting because I was mouthing Rupert [Grint]’s and Dan [Radcliffe]’s lines at the same time. That’s something I had to get over.

In June 2008, Emma Watson signed a contract, reported to be worth £3 million, to advertise with Chanel, a prominent French fashion house.

She will become the public face of Coco Mademoiselle, replacing Keira Knightley of one of the label’s perfumes.

Emma will star in the animated film The Tale of Despereaux, released in December 2008.

She will voice the character of Princess Pea in the film, a children’s comedy which also stars Matthew Broderick and Tracey Ullman.

Though it might sound more than just strange but one of the Hollywood A-liters and most beautiful young actresses, Keira Knightley says she prefers to stay away from fashion shows and shopping trips.

I’ve never actually made it to a fashion show, not even in London,” she confesses sheepishly. “I flew out when I was about 18 to see a Versace show in Milan, and I was so excited. But I got stuck in traffic and missed the show.”

I don’t have a TV. I don’t really like shopping.” The actress added.
These days Keira is in the spot light due to The Duchess premiere. Ms. Knightley stars as Georgiana, Duchess of Cavendish, an 18th-century British aristocrat whose style earned her the nickname “Empress of Fashion.” Georgiana was the Jackie O of her era, and she used her fashion status to grab attention and sway elections. Asked who she thinks is the contemporary contender, Knightley said.

[It's] Michelle Obama. Though I tend to go with the fact that you should be listening to what they’re saying, not worrying about the clothes they’re wearing.”

Her character, Georgiana, is often compared to Princess Diana but Keira shrugs off all the comparisons.
The Duchess is Knightley’s latest film and she’s in no hurry to make more just now. Though promotion of the flick take sup most of her time these days she’s hoping to get back to her home in London soon and proceed with her low-key life.

I’m going to sit in my flat, read books and cook.”

On her friendships with other women:

I don’t think I’m very good at figuring out female friendships. I think they’re quite tricky to navigate. I have a lot of friends who are guys and I find that manipulation and jealousy don’t come into it as much, whereas those things can happen easily between women.”

On Sienna Miller:

I love Sienna. I think she is a wonderful actress. But we’ve been like two ships in the passing night recently. I think that’s what’s lovely but also sad about acting. You get incredibly close to people for that moment and as soon as it’s over you don’t see each other. You’re away from home, in this case Wales. It’s a very intense relationship for a while, and then it’s not anymore.”

On her first singing audition for the remake of My Fair Lady:

I told him [producer, Cameron Mackintosh] that [getting drunk] would be the only way I could sing in front of everyone.”

On her own insecurities:

At this particular time, I probably am more comfortable with myself. But I don’t believe anybody who says they don’t have any insecurities and moments of feeling completely crap about themselves. I don’t think it does anybody any good to pretend those moments don’t exist. But just now I’m having a lovely time.”
