It was a big event yesterday (February 21) – British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTA) 2010 – held at the Royal Opera House in London, England. Lots of celebrities attended it and some got their trophies. (Read the list of winners!) But everyone looked beautiful. And my task now is to show you the dresses I liked the most on the red carpet.
I’ll begin with Kristen Stewart. She wasn’t the best-dressed and her look seemed unfinished but she is the star of Twilight, the saga I liked so much, so she is the first on my list. Kristen looked good in short white strapless Chanel dress and a pair of matching heels. I do think she looks better in jeans.

Kate Winslet couldn’t miss this exciting event and appeared on the red carpet looking elegant and classy. I liked her black dress with lacy insets very much!

Vera Farmiga looked brilliant in a white assymetrical Marchesa gown. The dress was so cute that Vera was an absolute stand out for me!

It is always pleasant when someone says you look chic and fashionable but when you are named the best dressed woman in your country it is a great honour.
Kristin Scott Thomas must be feeling proud of herself as she was called the best dressed British woman over 40 beating glamorous Catherine Zeta Jones, model Yamin Le Bon and gorgeous Dame Helen Mirren.

Good Housekeeping magazine has considered the fashion choices of the 49-year-old star and gave her the first prize in the competition.
Fashion designer Ben de Lisi commented on Kristen’s style:
Always understated, always refined and always blase chic.”
Good Housekeeping said:
Her love of classic designer labels such as Yves Saint Laurent, and beautiful drapery and luxurious fabrics has won her fashion acclaim, although she’s most comfortable at home in jeans or combats.”
The competition has been organized to show that women can look perfect at any age.
Good Housekeeping’s fashion director Liz Cocozza said:
The stylish women on this list prove that great fashion sense is not something that fades with age, for some women it gets even better.”
The list of best dressed British women over 40:
1. Kristin Scott Thomas, 49
2. Yasmin Le Bon, 45
3. Charlotte Rampling, 64
