Victoria Beckham has been recognized as a style icon for a long time already but the news she has the same reputation with women over 50 is surprising considering the fact she is only 37 years old herself.

Victoria Beckham (KNOW ALL ABOUT VICTORIA BECKHAM)was included into the list of top 10 style influencers for ladies over 50 along with older women like Helen Mirren (she is one the first place), Twiggy, and Elle Mcpherson.

A spokeswoman for clothing brand CC, who organized the poll (in Britain), commented:

Victoria Beckham has proven she carries universal appeal and her image over the past few years has altered from high glamour to a more classic look which appeals to women of all ages. The results show women in their fifties aren’t afraid to embrace younger styles when they’re done the right way.”

In the top 20 there are such big names as Kylie Minogue, Demi Moore, Kate Moss, and Elizabeth Hurley.

Kelly Brook arrived at the ceremony in a stunning old-Hollywood-glamour dress which she accessorized with a snakeskin clutch and chic bangles. She was accompanied by her beau Thom Evans at the event.

Emma Watson, who was named the most stylish celebrity by a couple of fashion magazines, surprised the public at GQ Man of the Year Awards 2011 with her Alexander McQueen tartan prom dress that she paired with a leather jacket and black shoes. She looked lovely but lacked that femininity we love her for.

British model Daisy Lowe showed off her perfect figure in a sexy floor-length gown which left her full back exposed. The girl arrived at GQ Man of the Year Awards 2011 with her Doctor Who boyfriend Matt Smith.

Charlize Theron decided that dress was too common for such an event and opted for stylish wide-leg trousers and silk halterneck blouse. The actress looked fantastic in her outfit. It seems like crossing boundaries is sometimes a good thing.

Kylie Minogue walked the red carpet at GQ Man of the Year Awards 2011 in an unusual furcoat which she later took off. Underneath she had a sexy black minidress that accentuated the singer’s enviable curves.

In the interview for the magazine Kylie says she ‘doesn’t mind the comparison between herself and Lady Gaga, and feels she has had an influence on Gaga’s career’.

She said:

I think there’s an element of me in her, but you’d also have to add into that mix all of the other women we’ve been talking about. It’s all part of a chain. In as much as dance music has gone mainstream, I’d love to think that I’ve played a part in that.”

Talking about her career plans the songstress says she hopes her album is a huge success.

She said:

Aphrodite is the goddess of love, and as far as the music goes, there’s a feeling of euphoria on this one.”

When asked if she is happy she replied:

Am I happy right now? What’s happy? I have moments of happiness and sometimes they’re even strung together, but I definitely have dark moments, too. Thankfully, those don’t last very long. I can go down very quickly, but I won’t stay there.”

Kylie Minogue, who graces June/ July 2010 issue of BlackBook, has had some acting experience in Australian soap Neighbours that she feels wasn’t very good. But she says she is looking to get back into movies, explaining:

The mid-’90s were a bad patch, but show me an actor who hasn’t done a few bad jobs. I have a deep desire to challenge myself with that again. ‘As a ‘pop star,’ I’ve created this world for myself, and it becomes very natural to stay inside of it, but I’d love to do some independent films. It’s still very early, but I’m in the process of choosing between specific parts.”

She added:

I have big ambitions, but I’m really quiet about it. What’s that saying? “Never let people know how much you know.”‘

A huge crowd of fans had been standing all night to be able to see the four women: Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cinthia Nixon. And the stars of the infamous film didn’t disappoint anyone.

The actresses who played main characters in SATS 2 all looked stunning and smiled to their fans and signed things. It was a great success!

Sarah Jessica Parker did her best to attract attention and please fashion critics. She wore Alexander McQueen billowing dress, a daring Philip Treacy hat and black lace platform shoes. Besides, the 45-year-old star had a black armband to pay tribute to her friend fashion deisgner who had committed suicide in February.

She said:

There’s only one person I could have worn tonight and that was Alexander McQueen. Lee, this is for you. I miss you very much.”

She added:

He was talented well beyond his years and the seriousness and unrivalled talent which he applied to his work is in bountiful display year after year and collection after collection.”

Kristin Davis went for a glamorous metallic Norman Norell dress which looked perfect on the actress.

Kim Cattrall donned a classic black Thierry Mugler gown this time and it was a fantastic choice. She looked gorgeous!

Cynthia Nixon looked amazing in a long teal Narcisco Rodriguez dress and hair extensions.

Among the guests I have selected a few to speak about. Kylie Minogue is definitely on this list. She looked fabulous in her midnight blue dress.

Amanda Holden looked oh-so-feminine and cute in a baby pink creation.

Emma Bunton went a well-checked path and donned a Victoria Beckham print wrap dress from the spring/summer 2010 collection. A never foux pas. Good job, Emma!

And one more girl seemed to me worth of mentioning here. Emma Roberts wore Miu Miu outfit, shoes and even the clutch. She looked beautiful!

Dannii advises women to invest in classic pieces for their wardrobe. She says simple items should be teamed up with trendy accessories to achieve the most perfect look.

Dannii said:

I like keeping things simple and chic, and aim to look ladylike. If you look at whose style has stayed popular over the years – Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren – it was all about not overdoing it or being trend-driven. I will add some trendy items to my wardrobe, but I prefer classic or investment buys.”

The sister of singer Kylie Minogue confessed her fashion sense came from her grandmother who used to teach her how to customise outfits.

She told website MailOnline:

I remember learning my love of fashion and design from my grandmother. She had six children and loved making her own things on the sewing machine, which gave me a good grounding in pattern cutting and how outfits are put together. Knowing how to sew is a godsend when it comes to personalising outfits. Being petite and curvy, I often need to shorten things and get them nipped in. Kylie’s a much better sewer than me.”

Kristen Stewart was one of those who attended this event. The actress wore a Pucci Origami Strapless Wool Dress that looked good on her. Kristen felt happy at the ceremony as she was named the Woman of the Year.

Naomi Campbell looked fantastic in Alexander McQueen’s dress and a pair of perfect black heels. The supermodel received the Outstanding Contribution award for all her charity job.

Leona Lewis looked classy in a black frock complimented with a black hat, lace fingerless gloves and beige shoes. The attire was gorgeous but it seems to me Leona looks older in it.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen looked beautiful and trendy in their outfits probably created by themselves.

Carey Mulligan didn’t sport a dress on the red carpet but appeared wearing a black pencil skirt and a blue blouse with a black belt.

Sisters Kylie and Dannii Minogue were together at the party. Kylie looked fabulous in her strapless LBD. Dannii rocked a yellow one-shoulder gown that covered her baby bump beautifully.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley opted for a red sexy frock that flattered her figure a lot.

Donna Ari went for a chic sparkling black dress, a yellow clutch and a pair of silver shoes.

Sophie Ellis Bextor looked stunning in her navy Grecial-style dress.

The women that didn’t impress me with their fashion choices for the evening were Daisy Lowe who looked horrible in her Miu Miu dress with cut-outs, Claudia Schiffer in her shapeless total black dress and Nicola Roberts who chose a bright pink outfit that was too short.

The ladies looked perfect, as usual at such events, wearing chic evening gowns and dressy outfits. The list of well-dressed included: Kylie Minogue, Alicia Keys, Leona Lewis, Geri Halliwell, Pixie Lott, Alexandra Burke, and others.

A very special person, that doesn’t fit into the list of best-dressed because she is just incomparable, was Lady GaGa. The star sported a fabulous white lacy bodysuit, a pair of lacy ankle boots, a lacy face mask and a huge blonde wig. Her look made everyone turn back and smile. Real furore, both in fashion and performance!

Gorgeous Kylie Minogue wore a black outfit that looked great on her. Lingerie as outwear trend does look good!

Leona Lewis opted for a metallic silver William Tempest dress, pink heels and a chic wide bracelet. By the way, the dress wasn’t the most flattering!

Ke$ha looked like her usual self, unfashionable and tattered. Her choice for the event was a black frock with a light feathered coat. Horrible shoes completed the look.

Lily Allen looked slim in her black-red attire and this must have been the main goal for her as the outfit itself wasn’t pretty.

Alicia Keys was in a sparkling black mini-dress and a pair of Louboutin shoes. Beautiful!

Geri Halliwell was total white in contrast to Alicia. The girl rocked a short assymetrical dress and a tiara in her hair.

Alexandra Burke looked sexy and chic in a red strapless gown with a big bow in front.
Florence Welsh opted for a super-small beige dress and a pair of matching heels. Alicia Dixon shone in her glitzy frock.

Courtney Love and Cat Deeley wore embellished dresses but, unfortunately, that didn’t make them the most notable on the red carpet.

I love my life without work and I love my life with work. I feel I’m so lucky to be able to do movies that create characters who are real women.”

About moving on from her divorce with Ryan Phillippe:

You have to keep it together for your kids and for yourself too. I’m trying to learn from the things that have happened in my life, live more in the moment, and have more fun… Going to more concerts. Jake and I went to Coachella this year.”

About cooking with her man:

Jake is a great cook—he does a lot. We spend the weekends outside L.A, in Ojai, where I have a farmhouse. We have chickens and we grow cucumbers and tomatoes. I love it. It reminds me of where I grew up in Tennessee.”

About struggling to raise her two kids, Ava and Deacon:

Sometimes it’s really difficult for me, being far away from home. I never imagined that my children wouldn’t grow up next door to my brother’s children. Or my mom and dad wouldn’t constantly be around. At least I have a lot of southern friends in L.A.—I gravitate toward them.”

About what she does to stay in shape:

I try to exercise every day. I like to run for about an hour, and I’m big into working out with girlfriends,” says Witherspoon. “It’s an acquired skill, being able to discuss your love life, children and friends, all while you’re running! But we have mastered it.”
