Reality TV star mom Kris Jenner is to launch her own fashion line for QVC. Following the Kardashian Kollection the line by Kris Jenner will hit the stores next month in a price range between $35 and $140. But that only will be five items before the full collection launch in October. Kris Jenner says that the collection was based on her own wardrobe from things she likes to wear every day to some cocktail items for a night out.

I’ve wanted to do a collection my entire life. I love the pieces that I wear, and they’re very successful for me, for my lifestyle.

I spent the first half of my life being a mom, having six kids, so now I like to look good, and I’ve learned a lot in my 50-some-odd years of trial and error.

I don’t mean to sound mean but a fashion line based on one’s wardrobe doesn’t sound like a fresh or creative idea. I mean this clothes in her closet was designed by someone already. Anyway there is already a niche for celebs who just want to put their name on a fashion line and it’s only a matter of individual choice. I like Kris Jenner‘s style. It’s age-appropriate yet it makes her look young and stylish. There’s some edge to it in short cocktail dresses and towering heels. But I just don’t see much need in another collection of leggings and leopard shirts. The only thing about it is that the fashion line is quite affordable and as Kris Jenner implies – good quality:

One thing I love about the clothes is that they have a great deal of style but they are forever pieces, and the other is they are so well made. You want your clothes to stand the test of time if someone is going to spend a lot of money on an item.

I agree, you don’t want to spend much on clothes that won’t last. Investing in a quality clothes is a sure way to save money in the long-run.

Plenty of trends we consider essential for our wardrobes seem absolutely horrible to the stronger half of the humanity. Not to sound proofless I’ll name 7 items (which are on the list of the current fashion trends) men think are total turn-offs according to a survey conducted by the website MSN.

#1 Dungarees. A dungaree might be comfortable but women will no way look feminine in it. Breasts, waist and hips are hardly accentuated and a lady does resemble a builder in this garment.

#2 Jumpsuits. Two facts annoy men about jumpsuits: they make us look shapeless and we spend more time in the bathroom.

A man commented:

They’re the ultimate in women-dressing-forother-women. Confusing and overly clever. At best you look like a toddler, at worst like my mum in the Seventies.’

#3 Harem Pants. Yves Saint Laurent was the first to design these three years ago and since then harem pants have been churned out by every high street label. Men despise the pants because no contours of our bodies are visible and a-filled-nappy look isn’t very appealing.

#4 Tuxedos. Women often think that they look in suits and tuxedos better than men but men have a different opinion. They want to see our figures rather than masculine shoulders and classy pants.

#5 Gladiator Sandals are comfy to wear but they take so much time to put on and take off. This irritates men. And many straps all over our legs make us appear shorter.

#6 Leggings. Women love leggings but men don’t. First, because no mystery is left with those. Every contour is revealed. And second, leggings are popular with ladies of all shapes, that means chubby girls will wear them, too.

Even Cheryl Cole shouldn’t wear leggings,’ one man said. ‘They are too council estate, too comfy. Once a woman gets used to wearing an elasticated waist, there’s no going back.’

#7 Ugg Boots. These have been called the most repulsive footwear a woman can ever wear. They don’t have a sexy sound of a clicking heel and they look unflattering. Besides, women tend to don them in any kind of weather.

One of respondents said:

There is no toe cleavage, no ankle. They smell pretty bad, too.”

Her leggings have had a huge success that made her think of expanding the range. And you know, the pieces she added to it look very pretty! Of course they are all in LiLo’s style – short, clinging and glitzy items.

But all I’m going to show you now is the adverts with Lindsay herself modelling her creations. The clothing looks nice but the pictures have something bad about them, bad and dirty. Maybe it’s the backgroun that gives me this impression?

Lindsay Lohan couldn’t stand aside. She decided to raise money for the earthquake-stricken Caribbean country by selling her leggings chaper and donating all the proceeds to the Save the Children organisation.

Lindsay told People magazine:

It is truly horrible what has happened to the people and children in Haiti. I believe every company should do their part to help by donating what they can. Please help us do our part for the Children of Haiti by purchasing this 6126 legging. I am proud to announce that we are giving 100 per cent of the proceeds to Haiti’s children through an organisation I am passionate about, Save the Children. ‘Fame’ leggings will retail for $65, originally $90, for a limited time only to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.”

Save the Children is the leading independent organization that’s working on improving the lives of children in need in the United States and around the globe.

Jessica Simpson makes her contribution through the Tennessee-based charity Soles4Souls selling her shoes. The singer, actress and now designer is working with her friends Cacee Cobb and Ken Paves to gain 50,000 pairs of shoes in 50 days for the victims.

She said:

Let’s do everything that we can for the tragedy in Haiti.”

Lindsay has been working on her leggings line expansion when the sketches for her new pieces were stolen. The worst part of this story is that her friend did that to her. The actress-turned-designer claims that it is her longtime pal Patrick ‘Pootie’ Aufdenkamp who took her drawings and now uses those for his own line.

Apparently Lindsay feels furious. But she knows it is her fault she was so trusting. And the so-called ex-friend is planning to launch his line this coming February.

A source said:

Patrick stole Lindsay’s sketches for her new 6126 clothing line. He is now running off trying to do his own line. And telling people he’s going to fashion market week in NYC on February 18 to debut his line. It’s horrible. He was her best friend. He has always used her, and she’s been warned to never trust him. Lindsay is a good friend and likes to see the good in people. She didn’t want to believe how bad Patrick’s energy was, and how false his friendship has always been with her.”

Patrick and Lindsay have been close friends for seven years and the star admits she’s been hurt by his betrayal.

She told UsMagazine.com:

I should’ve known better. But new year for me and a new beginning! Health, happiness, success and love!”

This must be really frustrating for Miss Lohan as she is going to expand her 6126 collection by including jackets, dresses, and trousers in lace, cashmere and leather. Now she will have to invent new designs.

The actress is to include other than leggings items of clothing, such as jackets, dresses, and trousers in lace, cashmere and leather. It is expected that the collection will feature up to 100 pieces. The range in price will be huge and the most expensive item is going to be a leather jacket.

Besides, Lindsay made it public that futher expansion of the line is planned in 2011. The collection will be added with a range of accessories like bags, jewellery and shoes, as well as cosmetics.

Kristi Kaylor, principal in 6126 LLC in Beverly Hills, said:

We’ve had amazing success with the leggings line. We have a great business with Neiman Marcus and several hundred great specialty stores. DNAM Apparel was the perfect partner to work with 6126 and grow it as a lifestyle brand. We’re launching the full clothing collection next year, and a cosmetics line, handbags, shoes, jewellery in spring 2011.”

It’ll be a young contemporary price point with contemporary styling. We’re conscious of it in the sense that we have great price points and quality products. The vision is to offer customers something that they don’t have in the marketplace today, items that go back with leggings: blazers, dresses and tops.”

The new designs are said to be “sharper and sleeker,” as well as “sexier”. The line will include super-slim cigarette pants in both traditional washes and light pastel hues, funky leggings, slouchy boyfriend jeans, roughed up denim jackets and vests and even crotch-skimming cut-offs. Lots of zipper details are also expected.

The 35-year-old designer hopes this collection will become much more popular than the previous one. And probably her hopes are inspired by the success her dress line has. As you might remember her dresses have been spotted on Elle Macpherson, Eva Longoria, Blake Lively and Drew Barrymore.

The only thing that makes me doubtful about the sales of the upcoming denim is the price – it stats at $235. The line will be launched in Spring 2010.

The designer has already worked with Levi’s, Wrigley Gum, and lots of supermodels to create his graphic-driven collections, popular with friends like Agyness Deyn and Pixie Geldof. And now he’s teamed up with Pretty Polly, the UK hosiery company, to design a line of limited-edition tights.

The tights have the designer’s signature house print, Pantone-inspired stripes, and a series of jumbled letters. Looks great!

The line is pretty diverse judging by the pieces we see. It includes plaid shirts, ruffled blouses, leggings, high-waisted shorts and T-shirts with vests sewn onto them.

Though Miley says the range can be worn by anyone from 8 to 80, it seems to us teenagers will like it more than people of other generations.

I wanted to finally make something that was for girls my age. Something me and my friends would wear,” Miley tells PEOPLE.

But I’d say anyone from age 8-80 can enjoy this line.”

The designs were partially inspired by Miley’s trips to Europe where she visited lots of stores and liked lots of styles.

My inspiration for the line is kind of an edgy UK style,” Miley says.

Every time I go to Europe I love going to all the funky stores. I wanted to be able to bring those fun styles to the girls of America.”

Miley loves the collection she and Max have created. Her special love is leggings.

I love the leggings. I’ve seen leggings like our Miley & Max ones that are about $500. Ours are so affordable and they look super chic!”

The collection has already hit the shelves of Wal-Mart. All the items are reasonably priced – under $20. This will give an opportunity for young fashionistas to wear Miley & Max designs.
