Louis Vuitton Resort 2014

There are skirt and short ensembles. Some are more relaxed and casual than others. There’s a tweed pant suit as well as a dress and a coat decorated with fringe. The outerwear is quite diverse in the collection. There are a couple of long coats with 3/4 sleeves thrown over maxi dresses and a fur jacket paired with a casual top and a midi skirt with front pockets. There is also a statement green coat with long sleeves that looks absolutely fantastic with the black dress and a yellow coat paired with a printed dress.

Some of the pieces are made in shiny fabrics solid and printed. There is an ensemble with a red oversize jacket and a printed skirt. There is also one with a printed blazer and a short burgundy skirt. Another one in same style again features an oversize black jacket with a printed back and a red skirt.

The footwear features the biggest shoe trend of 2010 clogs and loafers. There is an ocassional heel but the collection mostly features flat sandals, loafers, and boots. Some clogs also come with high heels though.

Though the collection is not my style and the footwear is too clunky to my taste the collection still has some beautiful pieces like that coat in the photo above. What do you think about Louis Vuitton Resort 2014 collection?

June 2013 Fashion Magazine Covers

Harper’s Bazaar is the leader of best June covers. Harper’s Bazaar Spain tapped Cindy Crawford for their June issue. Styled by Juan Cebrian the photoshoot shows Cindy in a sunny California wearing designs from Roberto Cavalli, Michael Kors, and Vionnet. The supermodel attended the 2013 Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony and The Great Gatsby premiere wearing a sexy white Roberto Cavalli gown. Other Bazaars featured the The Great Gatsby star Carey Mulligan, model Marique Schimmel, model Jessica Amornkuldilok, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

The latter wore a striped Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013 gown for the cover and Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, Ralph Lauren Collection for the spread.

Vogue is the runner up in our list of best June covers. There are three great ones – Vogue Japan the features Karlie Kloss clad in Saint Laurent posing to Hedi Slimane; Vogue Spain with Anja Rubik on the cover; and Vogue Russia with guest editor Dasha Zhukova.

Marie Claire has two great covers featuring Carrie Underwood in a printed fuchsia dress and a car and model Petra Nemcova showing off accessories in the camera. The model also shined on the Cannes red carpet wearing stunning dresses.

Emma Watson glamed up for W Magazine June/July 2013 cover. Wearing a Louis Vuitton blazer The Bling Ring star looks like a silver screen siren while her photoshoot brings a ton of glamour and inspiration thanks to vintage hair and beautiful dresses.

‘The Immigrant’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Marion Cotillard, as always, chose a dress by Dior. The actress went for a minimalistic white long-sleeved gown from the brand’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection with an open back and a ruffle detail. She accessorized her look with Chopard jewels and sleek hairstyle.

Kristin Scott Thomas chose a monochrome Lanvin Fall 2013 dress sans the matching gloves. She chose to accessorize it with a golden box clutch and satin pumps.

Actress Tais Araujo chose a white sparkly dress she styled with jewels, bright red lipstick and matching manicure. The dress featured an open back and a beautiful train.

Karlie Kloss went for a chemise style Louis Vuitton dress with an ombre feather hem. The model completed her look with sandals, an embroidered clutch, and jewelry.

Izabel Goulart rocked a black Emilio Pucci gown with a high slit. The statement jewelry set and two-tone shoes completed the look. Goulart added a bright accent to her outfit with red lipstick.

Model Eugenia Silva chose a black sheer lace gown from Dolce & Gabbana with an empire waist and low back. She finished the look with bangles on each hand and statement earrings.

Bianca Balti drew attention to herself with a bright pink dress with an embellished bodice though it appeared too loose on her. She accessorized it with black clutch and satin pumps.

Isabeli Fontana chose a white Elie Saab jumsuit with a train that covered her shoes. She styled the look with a box clutch and some jewelry.

Finally, Olivia Palermo stole the show in a gold metallic Roberto Cavalli gown that she wore with an embellished blazer. Her accessories were limited to a feather-decorated clutch, a statement ring, and a bracelet.

Selita Ebanks At amfAR Gala

amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala always draws a big number of celebs making for a smashing red carpet. This year the event raised $25 millions for AIDS research and gathered such celebs as Sharon Stone, Milla Jovovich, Zhang Ziyi, and many others including an army of models.

There were many models at the event. Rosie Huntigton-Whiteley looked chic in white Christian Dior dress with an assymetric hem while Eva Herzigova opted for a maxi dress from the same brand. Irina Shayk shined in a hot pink sparkly dress from Elie Saab while Lily Donaldson and Jessica Hart were the other two models to bring brights to the red carpet with their red dresses.

Chanel Iman was another model to dress in white. She chose Alexis Colby Carrington gown with angular shoulders and long sleeves.

Karolina Kurkova, Bianca Balti wore black. Kurkova went with a cut out Roberto Cavalli gown while Bianca Balti opted for a gorgeous Alberta Ferretti dress.

Selita Ebanks went for a pink tulle dress, a very different style from her Blood Ties premiere outfit. Alessandra Ambrosio also chose a romantic dress from Zuhair Murad Spring 2013 Couture collection. Heidi Klum ditched sexy for glamour as she wore Marchesa Spring 2013 dress with golden details.

Petra Nemcova looked glam and sexy in a dark blue semi sheer Elie Saab gown while Izabel Goulart chose a similar dress with long sleeves and in dark green color.

Joan Smalls and Karlie Kloss stood out thanks to their fashion choices. The former chose an interesting Givenchy Fall 2013 dress with a sheer floral-embellished skirt while the latter one skipped the dress and wore a trouser suit from Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

Other industry people were Anna Dello Russo who sported a dramatic Balenciaga outfit and designer Ulyana Sergeenko who as usual went to display her own work – a two-tone dress from her couture collection.

amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala at 66th Cannes Film Festival

Zhang Ziyi looked wonderful in a zebra Giambattista Valli outfit from Spring 2013 Couture collection. The ensemble consists of a peplum top, a matching skirt and a sheer black tulle skirt. The actress styled her look with Mouawad fine jewelery, a black clutch, and Ferragamo black peep-toe shoes.

Aishwarya Rai wore a golden Tarun Tahiliani sari completing it with gold jewelry and clutch. Singer Ellie Goulding appeared in silver Patricia Bonaldi dress with a sheer embellished skirt.

Milla Jovovich sported a stunning Valentino Couture gown with shiny leaf embroidery and wispy sleeves. The actress accessorized her look with Jimmy Choo clutch, David Yurman jewelry, and a braid updo.

Dita Von Teese stayed true to her style in black velvet Ulyana Sergeenko dress with a full skirt and a plunging neckline. She finished her look with pearl Chopard earrings and satin peep-toe sandals.

One of the best dresses could be seen on Stacy Kiebler who wore Zac Posen. The plum mermaid style gown from designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection featured a bow detail at the neck, which made for an interesting look.

Jessica Chastain opted for a red Saint Laurent gown with a wrapped bodice and a cut out. The actress accessorized the look with one statement bracelet and side swept waves.

More beauties in white were Kylie Minogue in her Roberto Cavalli gown with snakeskin insert, Sharon Stone who again opted for Cavalli, and Janet Jackson who wore a total white look from Armani Privé.

Paris Hilton showed up on the red carpet wearing a light pink gown with a feather train. The socialite accessorized her look with statement earrings and a cuff.

Kylie Minogueat Les Salauds premiere

It was day seven of 2013 Cannes Film Festival yesterday and the stars attended more movie premieres. Dita Von Teese and Sharon Stone attended the Behind the Candelabra premiere, while Jessica Chastain and Aishwarya Rai were seen at the premiere of Cleopatra. Kylie Minogue attended Les Salauds premiere in a stunning Roberto Cavalli gown.

Aishwarya Rai looked Goddess-like in a turquoise Armani Privé satin gown, which she accented with hot pink lipstick. Jessica Chastain opted for a minimalist Versace Collection long-sleeved white dress, which she accessorized with a statement Ms. Taylor Bulgari necklace.

Milla Jovovich looked great as always as she took to the red carpet in a dark blue Prada dress with an embellished skirt and a backless top. She finished her look with statement earrings and a sparkly clutch.

Model Joan Smalls went for a neutral Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall 2013 gown with a plunging neck and front slit. Erin Heatherton opted for a sparkly Roberto Cavalli gown, also in a neutral color. Chanel Iman wore a strapless black dress accessorized with David Yurman jewelry and Louis Vuitton miniadure.

Adriana Karembeu wore Jitrois leather dress with a fringed skirt and a semi-sheer top. Big green stone earrings completed her look.

Day Seven Of 2013 Cannes Film Festival

It was Dita Von Teese’s second red dress in two days, a red Elie Saab Couture frock, which she completed with red satin Christian Louboutin pumps and a red sparkly handbag. She also wore statement earrings.

Adding some drama to the red carpet with her Zac Posen dress Araya A. Hargate looked like belle of the ball in mint green. She styled her look with Devi Kroell clutch and some statement jewelry.

Petra Nemcova, Moran Atias, Lara Nieto, Rosario Dawson and Sharon Stone all rocked metallic and sparkly dresses. Atias and Stone both wore royal blue dresses both by Roberto Cavalli. Lara Nieto and Rosario Dawson opted for gold Elie Saab gowns, while Petra Nemcova chose Emilio Pucci creation.

Opting for comfortable glamour Li Yuchun and Barbara Palvin wore trouser suits. Yuchun went for a red Gareth Pugh suit with numerous ruffles at the top and dramatic sleeves. Palvin chose a sleek Alexandre Vauthier suit and paired it with a sheer blouse.

Emma Watson looks seriously glamorous in June/July 2013 issue of W Magazine. The Bling Ring star who poses for Michael Thompson wears retro style waves that give her a silver screen siren look. Actress wears a Louis Vuitton jacket and shorts on the cover but also slips into Erdem and Chanel dresses for the shoot.

Talking with the magazine the actress discussed her latest role in The Bling Ring, childhood and dealing with fame. The star was also asked if she ever tried to be a role model for young girls to which she said that she loved responsibility and never tried to hurry to grow up and ‘be seen as a woman’. Watson said that even when she was still in school she understood that such things like kissing boys wasn’t appropriate to her age or age of her peers.

For her latest role in the movie The Bling Ring, where a gang of teenagers steal clothes from celebrities, Watson had to assume a different mindset to make the character alive rather than parodic.

Nicki is so different from me. How do I try and understand a young woman who loves these things so much that she is prepared to commit crimes to have them?…With Nicki, I was really taking on a character. Some of her lines are so crazy and absurd—making sure she wasn’t a parody was a challenge.

The star also wasn’t used to the wardrobe choices of her character, which included ‘Uggs and very low-slung tracksuit bottoms’.

And at one point I told the costumer designer, ‘You can see my bra strap in this top; shouldn’t we pin it?’ And she said, ‘No, sweetie—Nicki is all about her bra strap showing.’ I was like, right, okay, different mind-set.

For the photoshoot for the magazine though Watson tried a bunch of outfits from famous designer brands (not that she doesn’t wear them to every red carpet appearance). In the black and white shot the actress wears a Chanel dress and Marc Jacobs gloves. In another two images Watson wears an Erdem dress styled with dramatic leather Sermoneta Gloves gloves and Prada shoes; and a Louis Vuitton coat over a dress.

The hair by Orlando Pita looks amazing and very vintage, while the photoshoot itself was styled by Edward Enninful. The issue hits the newsstands on May 28th.

Premiere Red Carpet At 2013 Cannes Film Festival

Fan BingBing looked amazing in a light yellow Elie Saab gown she wore for the premiere of Jeune & Jolie. The actress accessorized her look with matching details and only her orange lipstick accented the pastel yellow hue of her dress.

Freida Pinto sliped into a metallic Sanchita dress with a side slit and an open back. She accessorized with Jimmy Choo sky-high sandals and a box clutch. Her retro style updo was also accessorized with a matching hair piece.

Liya Kebede also appeared at the premiere of Jeune & Jolie. The model looked beautiful in a white Alberta Ferretti dress from Fall 2013 collection. She accessorized the look with a silver cuff and a statement ring.

Sonam Kapoor opted for a gorgeous rose-printed dress from Dolce & Gabbana in strapless style with a full skirt. Actress completed the look with a necklace and side-swept hair.

Octavia Spencer stayed true to her red carpet style as she wore Tadashi Shoji dress for Fruitvale Station premiere. The red custom gown features a sheer overlay and a train and it’s draped at the waist. Actress finished her look with red strappy sandals and berry lipstick.

The Bling Ring premiered on the same day. The cast, which includes Claire Julien (left), Taissa Farmiga, Katie Chang, Israel Broussard and Emma Watson, and director Sofia Coppola (right) posed all together looking elegant in their matching neutral monochromatic outfits.

Claire Julien wowed in a flesh-toned custom Emilio Pucci gown with a sleek silhouette and a long ruffled train. Taissa Farmiga opted for a monochromatic Valentino gown from Fall 2013 collection while Katie Chang chose white Dior gown with a black sash, which she styled with Dior Fine Jewelry. Emma Watson also went for a monochromatic look with Chanel couture dress with a black sequined bodice while Sofia Coppola wore a matching black sparkly dress from Louis Vuitton.

Zhang Ziyi changed into a dress from her previous red carpet look, which included Dior pant ensemble. Actress wore a beautiful Carolina Herrera gown to the premiere of The Bling Ring, which she accessorized with a statement Chanel necklace and a round Jimmy Choo clutch.

First Day Of 2013 Cannes Film Festival

Nicole Kidman looked gorgeous in Christian Dior Couture Spring 2013 floral strapless dress that the actress completed with pink patent Jimmy Choo shoes and a Ferragamo clutch. Kidman will fulfill her role as a jury member during this Cannes Film Festival.

Carey Mulligan also chose Christian Dior Couture, her pale pink dress was minimalist and romantic, she accentuated it only with bright red lipstick. The star wore her hair mid-parted and sleek. Her The Great Gatsby co-star Isla Fisher went for a red Oscar de la Renta gown with a ruffled skirt, which she styled with Bulgari Heritage necklace and a statement bracelet.

Lana Del Rey who recorded the song ‘Young and Beautiful’ for the film’s soundtrack dressed in a black and white lace dress with a train, her hair was styled in retro waves. She accessorized her look with statement ring and earrings.

Naomie Harris opted for a metallic though minimalist Calvin Klein dress. The actress chose minimal accessories that included a black satin Calvin Klein handbag and a touch of silver eyeshadow on her lids.

Zhang Ziyi was yet another star who opted for Chtistian Dior Couture, only she chose a pant ensemble from the Fall 2012 collection and accessorized with Christian Louboutin striped black and clear pumps. Chtistian Dior definitely ruled the night.

Cara Delevingne once again stayed true to Burberry, wearing its black lace dress that she generously styled with Chopard jewelry and red paint on her nails and lips.

Another model who brought plenty of effortless glamour to the opening ceremony was Cindy Crawford. The supermodel wore slinky white Roberto Cavalli dress with golden neck embellishment and a plunging decolletage.

Actress Sonam Kapoor opted for a white and gold Anamika Khanna Couture gown she finished off with Jimmy Choo shoes and Sunita K jewelry.

Bringing a bit of drama to the red carpet, Fan Bingbing appeared wearing a pink satin Louis Vuitton gown with a long train and an embellished neck. The star carried a golden tassled Louis Vuitton clutch and wore Chopard jewelry.

Also with a bit of drama was Solange Knowles’ amazing Stéphane Rolland Couture dress from Fall 2012 collection, though neutral in color it featured cape and feather details. The singer accessorized who recently announced the launch of her own record label accessorized her look with Chopard jewels and Jimmy Choo clutch.

Zhang Yuqi looked definitely dramatic in electric green Ulyana Sergeenko couture gown with a plunging neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves. The actress accessorized her look with red accents.

Finally, Freida Pinto who wore a one-of-a-kind pink Gucci dress looked radiant and playful. The dress featured a halterneck and an embellished belt while the accessories included Chopard earrings.

Craziest Outfits At Met Ball 2013

Well, this year’s theme of the Costume Institute Gala held at Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City is all about daring outfits: “PUNK: Chaos to Couture”. Following the classy punk theme there was abundance of checkered patterns.

Now this is something, starting from provocative Madonna who forgot to wear a skirt in her punk jacket in metal studs with hot pink shoes and fishnet tights, to Christina Ricci in tartan dress.

Sarah Jessica Parker with outrageous mohawk headpiece by Philip Treacy in a Giles Deacon dress and Louis Vuitton boots. Continuing the regal glamorous theme was Katy Perry, who rocked in gown by Dolce & Gabbana with religious symbols, accessorized with heavy jewelry and a crown. Another golden attire was spotted on Giovanni Bataglia in her beautifully ornamented gown

Other celebs who were paying tribute to classy punk couture were Lily Collins and Dree Hemingway. Lily Collins was wearing beautiful Moschino lace and silk tulle gown embellished with safety pins, crystals, and metal studs, topped with a vintage Moschino biker jacket decorated with badges, pins, studs and graffiti.

Now, Dree Hemingway went far in the punk fashion, forgetting all about femininity. She was wearing Stella McCartney black silk twill long-sleeved dress from the Winter 2013 collection under a leather metalhead jacket.

Of course how could punk couture go without leather? Eve was wearing gorgeous gown with black leather straps and transparent lace embroidery. Now rounding up the craziest and daring outfits in Met Ball 2013, Nina Dobrev appeared in black jumpsuit with by Monique Lhullier, except it was almost completely transparent and covered in spider webs!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked adorable in a bodycon strapless dress from Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2013 collection in black and yellow, which she styled with Jean-Michel Cazabat white court shoes.

Erin O’Connor opted for the Louis Vuitton pencil dress in black and white checks, which she styled with black court shoes.

Anna Dello Russo and Melissa Obadash embraced the trendy monochrome trend, as the former layered a black cloak with a matching mini dress with white cuffs, which she complemented with a white clutch, black t-strap shoes and a wide-brim hat; while Melissa wore a white bodycon dress with lacy sleeves styled with contrasting black sandals.

Martha Ward, Vogue TV presenter, looked feminine and delicate in a white midi dress with rhinestone embellishments and a sheer neckline. She styled the look with silver strappy heels and a box clutch.

Tamara Mellon looked classy in a black and beige maxi dress complemented with chunky watches, black strappy sandals and a matching clutch.

Yasmin Le Bon gave tribute to Michael Kors as she went for a striped navy blue and red skirt ensemble from Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2013 collection styled with navy blue court shoes and Chanel quilted bag.

Arizona Muse and Suki Waterhouse went for the trendy looks. The former opted for a leather skater skirt teamed with a gold printed top and accessorized with knee-high boots, while the latter wore a khaki dress with a keyhole neckline, which she styled with a belt, ankle boots and a shoulder bag.

Gwyneth Paltrow went for a monochrome pencil dress by Narciso Rodriguez styled with strappy lacy Jimmy Choo shoes and a golden cuff.

Alice Temperley and Jade Jagger held a party at the Temperley London store in honor of launching Jagger’s jewellery line. Both ladies looked stunning in outfits by Temperley London: Alice teamed a crisp white sunflower skirt with a button-up shirt and coral red peep-toe heels, while Jade chose a coral red dress styled with gold strappy sandals.

Jacquetta Wheeler demonstrated a chic look as she opted for a Michael Kors purple tunic dress with sequin detailing accessorized with black strappy heels and a matching clutch.

Laura Bailey pulled off an elegant outfit that consisted of a nude coat layered over a white mini dress. She styled a look with black platform shoes, a black clutch and white watches.
