Nicole Richie turned heads at the 2012 Golden Globes with her fabulous Julien Macdonald dress which visually elongated the socialite’s silhouette.

Lea Michelle’s Marchesa gown looked fantastic. The dare design exposed a lot of flesh but this way it only accentuated the actress’ perfect figure.

Maria Menounos’s bright gown was minimalistic in design but the color was amazing.

Jessica Alba’s Gucci dress came in a lovely tone and the sparkling detailing just added glamour to the look.

Salma Hayek also wore Gucci to the 2012 Golden Globes ceremony. Her black glitzy gown with an unusual print on the top looked interesting.

Evan Rachel Wood wore a shining gown to the event, too. Her option was a bit weird though. The dress featured fabric covered in something that reminded fish scales in the waist area and down to the hemline scales gradually were substituted by peacock feathers.

Juliana Margulies didn’t want to wear sequins, fish scales or anything. Instead, she chose a dress that was made of fabric that was glitzy by itself. By the way, haven’t we already seen this dress on someone?

Laura Linney’s green sequined dress wasn’t the most interesting but it attracted attention with its color.

Diane Lane looked exquisite in her floor-length evening gown with a lovely beading detail at the midriff.

Madonna, who rarely gets on lists of best-dressed was able to surprise us at the Golden Globes. She wore a deep green embroidered gown by Reem Acra and looked pretty in it.

Karl Lagerfeld is collaborating with Snoop Dogg. Straaaange. But oh, it’s only a video collaboration not a collection and whatnot. The now friends have met at Snoop Dogg’s party in Paris and this week Karl Lagerfeld went to St. Tropez to appear in Jean-Roch music video for his single “St. Tropez” where Snoop Dogg will appear too. So I guess the “collaboration” is a big word for the news but just imagine how their fashion collection would look like had they really worked on it together.

In other news, Carine Roitfeld gave an interview to Sunday Magazine. The ex-editor of Vogue Paris talked about her upcoming book Irreverent, editor work and cigarettes in fashion photography:

The book is dedicated to my husband, who quit smoking seven months ago. When he decided to stop smoking, I said, My God, it’s too bad I didn’t try to help him to stop before. Now I decide I will never use a cigarette again in any shoot. When you’re doing fashion pictures, you’re talking to lots of figures; some are very young, and they’re like sponges. So if your girl is smoking a cigarette, they can say, Oh, my God, it’s smart to smoke a cigarette, it’s good for the look, so I’m going to have one, too. And it’s totally stupid. It’s an easy solution to make a picture more interesting, but it’s not the only solution. And now it’s like, forgive me for all these cigarettes I’ve put in all these issues.

A bit late but guess it’s better than nothing.

Roitfeld was also asked about the spread with a 10 year old Thylane Blondeau styled as an adult and whether she should apologize for it:

A lot of people say I was fired because of this issue, because of the little girls dressed in mom clothes…It was very, very controversial. Old couples, kids, surgery. But it was not done on purpose because I was leaving. It was done before that, you know.

The reason I call my book “Irreverent” is because there were a lot of pictures that were very irreverent. Maybe I could call my book “Forgiving” because maybe I made a lot of errors too.

I mean what should one expect while putting a ten-year-old “model” on a cover dressed in “mom’s clothes”?

Madonna was sued for using a trademark – Material Girl for her Macy’s collection by clothes manufacturer L.A. Triumph. Despite creating a song of 1984 called Material Girl Madonna only has a song name copyright not a trademark. The trial will take place in October.

Lourdes Leon appeared in this dress at the Oscars 2011 after party with her mother Madonna. At the moment the girl was hugely praised for both the design and the way she wore it. She teamed up her choice with black pumps and a number of bracelets on both wrists.

Ashley Tisdale opted for this dress to attend the premiere of Phineas And Ferb: Across The 2nd Dimension in L.A yesterday. The blonde looked very beautiful in the design. She accessorized her look with grey patent-leather shoes and golden-colored handcuffs.

I like Ashley’s look more than Lourdes’ one. She looks more natural and I like her toned physique (which she got not by dieting but by regular workout regimes).

Just Go With It actress Brooklyn Decker hit the red carpet wearing a sumptuous Joy Cioci dress that she paired with jewelry from Diamond in the Rough. The dress looked very feminine and sexy on the girl.

Naomi Watts arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in an elegant Zac Posen gown.

Madonna was accompanied with her daughter Lourdes Leon to the star-studded party. Both ladies looked great. Madonna donned a daring see-through outfit while Lourdes wore one of her own designs from Material Girl collection.

Charlize Theron looked incredibly beautiful in a white one-shoulder Atelier Versace gown with crystal detailing on the bodice.

Red Riding Hood star, Amanda Seyfried also opted for a white design to attend the Vanity Fair Oscar party. She wore a tempting ruffle collar dress by Valentino that revealed her sexy black lace bra underneath.

Glee girl, Lea Michele sported a fabulous-looking Roberto Cavalli dress that she finished with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Sergio Rossi shoes, and Swarovski clutch.

Jessica Biel went for a luxurious gown by Atelier Versace dress to shine on the red carpet of the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Victoria’s Secret model and Transformers star, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley couldn’t appear at such a big event without her handsome boyfriend Jason Statham. The couple looked amazing together.

I’m not sure she’s the right girl to wear Material Girl clothing (a bit old maybe?) but the pieces created by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes look really good on her, especially the floral mini dress and the grey jumpsuit. Bracelets are cool, too. But socks in shoes make me sick.

I think it is not surprising that Michelle Obama in on the first place of this Forbes list. She does a lot for America and is very popular all over the globe. Lady Gaga, who is interesting to me as a great performer and a fashion icon, occupies the seventh position. Madonna, the singer and fashion designer, is number 29.

Heidi Klum, who has been a model for many years and now designs clothing for women, goes under 39th number while Sarah Jessica Parker, thanks to Sex and the City and her role in Halston, occupies the 45th place.

Super powerful, in my opinion, if we talk about the fashion industry, Anna Wintour is number 56 on the list. The highest-paid supermodel Gisele Bundchen is on the 72d position. Designers Tory Burch and Vera Wang occupy positions 88 and 91 respectively, while Donna Karan is on the 96th place. Angela Ahrendts, Chief executive in Burberry group, in number 97.

Madonna is a busy woman. She sings, models and even designs. Her sunglasses line has been launched recently and so will clothing range in the near future. The Material Girl collection which is disscussed widely is said to be the result of collaboration between a style icon mother and fresh fashionista daughter.

Madonna admited she couldn’t have completed everything alone and her 13-year-old daughter was the perfect choice to help her.

Madonna told USA Today:

Since I have a few careers going, I decided that I wasn’t going to get into designing this line by myself. No question, Lola seemed the perfect choice. She is really doing most of the work. She shows me things and I go ‘that’s cool’ or ‘that’s not cool.’ We both go to business meetings. We exchange ideas, talk things out and even disagree about some things, though rarely.”

Lourdes’s father, personal trainer Carlos Leon is sure his child has been the creative force of the line coming out soon.

He commented:

She’s 100 per cent the creative force of Material Girl. She knew exactly what she wanted. She’s a trendsetter that draws from all different things to put together a look. She’s into different cultures and brings that into her style.”

Despite the young age of Lourdes Madonna believes she has a great fashion sense. The girl is influenced by her favorite bands, ballet classes and photo sessions her mother does sometimes.

She revealed:

She’s influenced by everything from bands she listens to, kids she sees in hip-hop and ballet classes and she’s been to enough photo sessions, video shoots and seen me put my tours together to have developed a great eye. She’s also worked in the wardrobe department on some of my tours. I love the way she puts different things together that are sometimes unexpected. She’s the fashion police at our house and has a point of view on what everyone is wearing. I’m not saying we agree on everything but we enjoy collaborating together.”

Madonna thinks Material Girl will ‘give young girls an opportunity to express themselves creatively and have fun putting outfits together.’

She said:

I didn’t approach the Material Girl line to make up for something missing from the retail landscape. But I do think the Material Girl line gives young girls an opportunity to express themselves creatively and have fun putting outfits together depending on the occasion or their mood.”

As you already know Material Girl line designed by Madonna and Lourdes will sell at Macy’s. Explaining why the star chose Macy’s Madonna said:

Macy’s seems like a perfect fit because they’re so good at marketing, their stores are all over the place and their price range is accessible. And the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade passes right in front of my apartment every year so I feel especially sentimental since my kids and I get to watch it every year when we’re in town.”

The Material Girl clothing range, which includes jewellery and accessories, goes on sale on August 3. Taylor Momsem is the face of the collection.

Madonna looks pretty and young on all the photos for Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2010 ad campaign. She plays the role of an ordinary woman who lives in small town in Italy. She does the housework, takes care of her granny, spends time with a little child and has fun with guests in her living room.

And whatever Madona does she looks perfect. I wonder whether all Italian housewives wear Dolce & Gabbana clothes while washing the floors, trying to catch a chicken…

The Gossip Girl star, Taylor Momsen has now oficially been named as the face Material Girl range that was created by both Madonna and her almost grown-up child.

Taylor Momsem will promote flirty mini-dresses, cute accessories, skinny jeans, and studded leather jackets. The collection will be launched next month and sold exclusively at Macy’s department stores.
