Popular American designer Marc Jacobs has cast his Collection and Marc by Marc Jacobs campaigns.

All are very interested in the designer’s new Marc by Marc Jacobs face for Spring/Summer 2009, “trendy girl about town” British model Daisy Lowe.

I think she looks adorable,” Jacobs told WWD.

Now, Lowe is not your typical stick-thin model, but is known for her curves”.

Lowe is just 19 years old. She has shot for many of editing spreads for fashion magazines like Italian Vogue and i-D, but her advertising work is more limited.

She’s posed for ads for lingerie compaigns Chanel, Burberry, Ben Sherman and Whistles, Converse, Agent Provocateur and French Connection, but never a high-fashion designer like Jacobs.

She told:

Modeling is a cool outlet for me to express myself, and fashion has always fascinated me. I love that fashion crosses into my other passions - music and art.”

We hope that work with one of the industry’s most significant fashion designers will make her even more popular than she is now.

Victoria Beckham is out at Jacobs, but she is the new face of Emporio Armani lingerie line.

We realize she’s not actually curvy and is likely thinner than us “normal” ladies. But she’s also not starving, so in fashion land, that’s curvy.

Raquel Zimmermann will star in Jacobs’s women’s Collection campaign for spring 2009, and pretty-boy  Ryan McGinley will star in the men’s Collection campaign.

Karolina Kurkova graces the cover of British Elle’s November 2008 issue. She is looking hot and wild.

A model, who has been criticized for showing “back fat, love handles and cellulite,” answers her critics back with a stunning Elle cover.

She also does the cover of Elle magazine’s February 2008 issue and appeared only in shoes, diamonds and gloves for the November 2007 issue of Vanity Fair celebrating 20 years of supermodels with her fellow Angels.

The photoshoot is named “The New Sexy” and presented by photographer Matthew Vriens and stylist Sasa Thomann.

Karolína Kurková, 24, is a Czechoslovakian model, best known as one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels.

Mario Testino said of Kurková,

The proportions of her body and her face, as well as her energy level, make her a model who could fit almost into any moment.”

Designer Marc Jacobs said,

“She has an angelic look with a dark side, she’s sweet and fun but looks like she could be an evil bewitching child.”

Vogue editor Anna Wintour called her the “next supermodel”.

Kurková has been quoted as saying,

Everyone likes and deserves to have some fun. In the end, when you smile, life smiles back at you!”

The famous stylist and fashion mastermind behind Sex and the City, Patricia Field, has a new work on the set of Ugly Betty.

Since the show relocated produce from Los Angeles to New York this year, Field, who styled the pilot episode, has came back to the fashion-centric program for Ugly Betty third season.

Set in the offices of fictional fashion magazine Mode, Ugly Betty’s cast is characteristic dressed in understated colors and classic silouhettes, but America Ferrera’s Betty Suarez is another story.

Just like Carrie Bradshaw’s closet wardrobe, Betty’s wardrobe is a mash-up of high-end designer pieces. It includes Marc Jacobs, Viktor and Rolf, and Alexander McQueen and one of a kind vintage finds.

But that’s where the resemblance ends. Betty’s kookie style is all about traffic-stopping colors, clashing prototypes and questionable layering.

Patricia Field shows that it’s not the outfit or labels that give you style, but how you wear them.

Below the shabby, mismatched layers, Ugly Betty wears some great pieces, but they get lost in a jumble of color and pattern.

Perhaps she has the strange fashion sense of Carrie Bradshaw, taken a steps too far.

Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Isaac Mizrahi, Vera Wang, Evelyn and Leonard Lauder and John Demsey are among A-listers invited to the seventh annual “An Enduring Vision” benefit for the Elton John AIDS Foundation that will be held at Cipriani Wall Street on November 11.

Elton John and David Furnish are honorary chairs of the benefit. Special honorees this year are comedian and actor Tim Allen; Bill and Tani Austin, founders of the Starkey Hearing Foundation, and Johnny and Edwina Barbis, board members of John’s foundation.

The event will feature special performances by Sir Elton and Gladys Knight, and a live auction with Jamie Niven, vice chairman of Sotheby’s North and South America. Anderson Cooper is expected to be the emcee for the night.

According to the reports, the event hopes to raise $3 million for John’s AIDS Foundation.

It’s all about the accessories. That what I can say about Spring 2009 Collection by Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week.

There were lots of plaids, chunky stripes, colors straight out at Wes Anderson film at September 8 Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 exhibition. Marc Jacobs played once more with 1940’s-style propered waists, pairing his tailored women’s dresses with heavy bangle bracelets. Dark metallic prints also appeared several times throughout the show, as did shoulder pads.

The handbags, shoes and belts. Even the silly hats, tilted just so.

They all awake overwhelming fashion lust in all of us every season.

Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham and Marc Jacobs in the audience, started on time–something he did for the first time last season after years of plainly being criticized for long detains.

His Spring 2009 collection activated Edwardian silhouettes among other eras and somehow made the mixture of grime with glitter work. Skirts with draping and cascading folds, made of metallic Lurex fabric and brocade-like prints were standouts, especially mixed and matched in color schemes that didn’t make ordinary sense.

Fabilous attendees included Winona Ryder, Rachel Zoe, Kelly Osbourne, Nicole Richie, Sofia Coppola, and Lauren Hutton.

Russian pop duo t.A.T.u. has been called by Marc Jacobs to be the new faces of Marc by Marc Jacobs for Fall 2008/Winter 2009 fashion ad campaign. Marc’s latest inspiration is the two girls Julia Volkova and Lena Katina.

But wait, according to t.A.T.u’s official website it seems the girls will only be the faces of this campaign in Russia.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Russian campaign will support the launch of PR-project “Marc’s Girl”. In Marc Jacobs Moscow boutique from 2 to 16 September there will be an on-going competition for the most trendy fashion-lovers – every girl can come and try herself in a photo-casting. The winners will be invited to the Marc Jacobs fashion show in New York, featured in a photoshoot in a fancy glossie and presented with designer clothes MbM.
