Megan Fox covers a popular Italian fashion magazine Amica. Gracing the September 2011 issue cover in fluffy black dress and much trendy wide brim hat. The cover and the photoshoot itself are not bad but nothing special. Fox is just being pretty and the styling is not unusual. The actress posed in a shoot wearing a white shirt, bra, and a leather jacket. In the interview with Amica Megan Fox talks tattoos, piercings, sex symbol status and a career move to comedy.

On fading Marilyn Monroe tattoo: “I’m removing it. It is a negative character, as she suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar. I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life.”

On Britney Spears-style navel piercing: “I did it when I was 16-years-old because I was a fan of Britney Spears. The only time I tried to imitate someone else. But then I thought it was tacky and so I removed it when I turned 20.”

On her sex-symbol status: “What they call me sexy is not something that I can operate or shut down at will, but something that shines through as a journey, from how I talk, how I move. On the screen, I seem very sure of myself, but the real world is the place where I feel more conflict.”

On her relationship with fashion: “I like some things and I follow them. And I have a personal stylist, but I also like my stuff, my styles. If I’m not working, I prefer to dress casually. It’s hard to be fashion every day.”

On playing comedy: “I’m enjoying it. I think I prefer more. It’s more relaxing. I feel a different atmosphere around me. In comedy, everyone seems to be on set for fun.”

Fox has also talked about her vegan diet that made her lose too much weight, her career start as a fashion model, and other things. When asked if there were things she didn’t like about her body she said there are but she’s not discussing them. Megan Fox has also commented on the Twitter photos she posted to prove the public wrong about the rumored botox injections saying that it was necessary because the young girls are more inclined to turn to plastic surgery these days.

Singer-turned-designer Avril Lavigne and her label Abbey Dawn will show off their skater clothing line at New York Fashion Week in September. As the brand is going for expansion the line that only made T-shirts and accessories will include now dresses, denim, skirts, bags, eyewear, footwear, etc. Of course the line is expected to bear Avril Lavigne‘s signature style which includes graffiti prints, skulls, lots of pink, and sporty wear.

Avril Lavigne and Abbey Dawn will also present a full menswear collection at Style 360-Metropolitan Pavilion on September 12.

In other news pop icon-designer Gwen Stefani reportedly may be absent from her own labels’ show this Fashion Week due to more pressing matters. L.A.M.B. spokesperson said the decision is yet to be made but the star has a too busy schedule. It was also announced that Gwen Stefani is to team up with Target to create an affordable clothing line called “Harajuku Mini” for children and teens.

Harajuku Mini is a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan. The whole idea is about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed. Non-surprisingly Lady Gaga is to launch her own fashion line or “wearable” designs with her younger sister Natali Germanotta, 19 who has finished a first year of study at Parsons, The New School for Design, NY and has also appeared in Gaga’s Telephone video featuring Beyonce. Natali Germanotta is described as “even edgier” than her sister

Gaga came up with the idea of remodelling the styles of classic icons from the past, for example Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly and Katharine Hepburn.

Natali loved the idea and she’s coming up with a slew of design options but, of course, everything will have their own iconic twist on it,

a source told Grazia magazine. Though the news are unofficial there are already hints on how the collection will look like. Iconic Marilyn Monroe dress is said to be in rubber version while Audrey Hepburn’s black iconic dress will reportedly feature a plunging neck.

Sexy woman and every guy’s dream Marilyn Monroe, who died at 36 of an overdose in 1962, preferred to wear the Wonderbra-style bra to support her cleavage. She increased her boobs 36D using a complex double-cupped, multi-strapped bra, the predecessor of the famous asset-boosting bra.

The bra and some other items are up for auction on Saturday, July 18 in London.

International Autograph Auctions representative Richard Davie said:

“We’re expecting a lot of excitement and interest from fans.

“The bra looks very complicated at first glance and it actually has four cups inside it – sort of like an early Wonderbra.

“There’s an inner cup which is almost hidden, which would support her chest as normal. But then there’s another larger cup about an inch further out, to give the impression she had a bigger chest.”

The attire is expected to fetch £2,000. The pair of Marilyn’s Christian Dior silk stockings could sell for £1,200.

The black and white signed photograph of the iconic actress is also aligned at the auction, at the Radisson Edwardian Hotel in Heathrow, and is expected to go for about £3,000.

And as time and life experience shows, not every woman can become a goddess. But one has to try, try hard! Her name was Heather Renée Sweet and she was an ordinary girl no one paid much attention at. But she wanted to make a standout and dreamt of becoming provocative like Bettie Page and exquisite like Rita Hayworth.

She liked watching movies dated 1940-50 and experimenting with her style. Finally she dyed her hair black and chose vintage clothes.

Now her style is thought over to details – a corset, stockings, high stilettos by Louboutin and classic ‘50s style garments.

According to Dita she has been following her style for 10 years already and she is going to keep it for lots of years longer as she was able to create her individual style and is proud of it.

So, what is a personal style? Personal style is a style that is close to you, your personality and your preferences.

It has to be unique. Perfectionists can say I’m not right saying that, but I don’t actually mean you should wear all the same clothes of one day fashion. You should change, but within the limits of the same style.

If we speak about Dita again she can be a provocative pin-up girl and then suddenly hide her snowy white face under a veil, or turn up in public wearing something exceptionally luxurious with a feathered hat.

But whatever she wears she always follows one particular style.

Step 1. Your personality

Bright personalities create bright personal styles. We can talk of a style only if the personality is seen through it. Let’s recall an old movie Sabrina by Billy Wilder.

Audrey Hepburn’s character, an ordinary girl, the daughter of a gardener, falls in love with the son of her father’s employer. To avoid looking ridiculous she leaves home for Paris, the fashion capital.

Two years later she returns home and kills the heir with her fantastic looks. It happens not because fashionable clothes changed her but because she got to know herself better and found her personal style, different from others.

It is often said that individual style is something one has to be born with, like charisma or a pleasant voice. But think of Marlene Dietrich, a style icon, who had been searching for her personal style for a long time.

She couldn’t express herself right at the beginning of her career and wore lots of lace, puffy sleeves, inappropriate furs and designs which made her figure look terrible.

But when she met Sternberg everything changed and she acquired her own style and followed it until the rest of her life. As a result she became a style icon.

So, these example illustrate the fact one can do everything. You need to find yourself, to understand what you really want. Think of ideal you. What will you look like?

What clothes will you wear? What will you act like? The best way to find your style is to understand your inner world.

Step 2. Basics of style

The diversity of styles is infinite but all of them are just the variants of three basic styles.

Eternal classic. Jackline Kennedy is someone who preferred it and never wanted to try something different.

The items of her image were: pumps, pillbox hats, clinging pencil skirts and strict suits – they are now considered 100 per cent elegant. Those who prefer to wear classic have to walk straight all the time and watch their hairdos to look ideal, but I’m sure exquisiteness and perfection of the style are just the things you’d like to achieve.

Creative personality. Any ideas are possible here. Those who like this style prefer to stand out rather than be hidden in the crowd. Tunics, shapeless garments, hippie chic, ethnic items, romantic and feminine images, complicated designs and creative decisions are the key moments of this style.

Contra culture. People who prefer this style like everything that is avoided by majority of others. Mass culture is not for them. Nothing can be worse for such women than buying trendy items.

Their style is always completed. Examples to imitate this style are Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo. In the middle of the last century these women wore tuxedos, mannish hats and preferred black to all other colors.

And don’t even ask me about a sporty style. This style looks appropriate only in gyms and stadiums.

Step 3. Fashion

Fashion should serve as an instrument of creating your individual style. Taking ready images from catwalks is a complete nonsense if you want to be treated as a woman who knows what her style is.

Designer Roberto Cavalli has turned celestial Canadian model Daria Werbowy into an amazing blonde Marilyn Monroe for his Spring 2009 ad campaign.
