Every glam event is a chance to show off oneself and often our stars use this rare opportunity to attract attention. The Oscar ceremony is one of the most expected, not only because we all want to know which films are considered the best but also to see what most glamorous women wear to it.
It is a common fact that to stand out at the Oscars is always a very difficult thing. But some women know very well how to do it. And one of these is definitely Jennifer Lopez. The singer appeared on the red carpet wearing a sumptuous strapless gown by Armani Prive.

By the way, Armani creations were extremely popular. Amanda Seyfried also wore a dress by this designer and looked absolutely gorgeous.

Vera Farmiga chose a more colorful dress from Marchesa, a real red-carpet label. The actress looked perfect.

Anna Kendrick was the embodiment of youth and chic as she wore a gorgeous Elie Saab gown to the event.

Sandra Bullock, who was named the Best Actress, sported a fabulous Marchesa frock. She opted for a silver clutch to match her outfit.

For the new season, you should be looking for interesting cut-outs – the hot Fashion Trend SPRING/ SUMMER 2010. Cut-outs in your ensemble add a subtle sexiness to your look, emitting taste and class, and leaving something to the imagination. This trend can be seen on all items fashionable, from dresses to shirts to pants to leggings and even shoes. More for the edgy fashionista, the trend has been sported on runways across the globe and most recently for Spring/Summer 2010.

Designer Zac Posen incorporated the trend into a stunning yellow mini dress that was displayed on his runway at Mercedes-Benz NYC Fashion Week. At first glance, this mini is adorable, but once the cut-outs on each side are noticed it suddenly turns cute into sultry.
In London, Basso & Brooke added the cut-out trend to their patterned pieces, making each piece extremely noteworthy. These little cuts into the fabric, showing only a sliver of skin along the chest area, are perfect for those who don’t want to show bits of their bust area.

Carmen Kass has been working with Michael Kors for a few seasons already and she does make the brand more successful.

Along with Noah Mills Carmen models the new Spring-Summer 2010 ad campaign. The two look beautiful together and garments they wear look even better because of that.

Though the clothes in this range seem too simple to me, the accesspries are great, especially handbags and shoes.

As well as Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney Michael Kors claims his pieces are timeless and one can wear them forever. This is also the reason why designer could have survived the recession.

The renowned fashion designer believes sales of his clothing line have not dropped during the ecoomic downturn because he has always worked hard to create designs that don’t become out-of-date.
He said:
What has happened with the economy has re-enforced the things that I always thought. The idea that something should be unexpected but at the same time timeless, the fact that I think that most clothes should be seasonless. Things have to be versatile.”
Michael is one of those designers whose popularity rises day by day. Maybe it is due to the fact he makes things that are sometimes eccentric but always good-looking and fashionably universal.

As we see many collections of S/S 2010 on NYFW displayed bold colors and one of the designers who goes on another way is Michael Kors. He saw next Spting/Summer 2010 in neutral pastel colors: cold hues, fresh mix, white, blue, grey, silver, subdued pink, tender blue, lilac and pistachio.

I’ve never done pastels before; I always felt they were a bit too saccharine. But they seem right for spring. That’s what it’s all about.”
Models came in Spring/Summer RTW collection by Michael Kors were dressed in silver crease lame, draped jersey, crumpled techno taffeta, leather gloves.

The designer made appearance interesting by using zippers and zigzaggs around the body of a mint green asymmetric-neckline, or with bold cut-outs on cocktail dresses.

Michael Kors Fall-Winter ad campaign with Carmen Kass and Noah Mills is pretty unusual. It was shot in New York City and is intended to reflect the urban nature of the season.

The photographer involved into the work is Mario Testino. He made a good shot of Kass and Mills entering and leaving a Broadway theater.

The place wasn’t chosen accidentally. It is the designer’s love to theatre and everything related to it that determined the spot.
Michael is an avid fan of the theater and has been attending Broadway shows since the tender age of five,” said a spokesman.

Last night was very special for fashion designers. CFDA Awards is a Glam Event that is interesting for ordinary people and is hold-breathing for those who can get the award.
Ralph Lauren was admitted the most favorite American designer. He received the first-ever Popular Vote award winning the majority of the 15,000 online votes.

Mr. Lauren, whose fans are style stars Blake Lively and Angelina Jolie, accepted his award wearing a tuxedo jacket and jeans.
Rodarte sisters – Kate and Laura Mulleavy – got Womenwear Designer of the Year, that is absolutely deservedly!
Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez were awarded with Accessory Designer of the Year.
Alexander Wang amazed everyone wearing shorts to the ceremony but this didn’t bother him and Subversive’s Justin Giunta to take home the Swarovski Awards for young designers.

The new fashion season Fall 2009-Winter 2010 is already close to us and that means it’s high time we spoke about trends.
This post will give you information about tendencies in glove fashion.

First of all I’d like to say that gloves themselves are a hot trend this season and designers paid lots of attention to them.
Gloves are incorporated into many outfits and certainly add much sophistication and glamour to them. So, what is going to be top fashionable this fall and winter?
1. Leather gloves. I don’t think you are surprised to know that, because leather gloves are always in style.
They are classic and if you want to have a pair to be appropriate now and ten years later this is exactly what you need.

Besides, there are various designs for you to choose from. The only thing to limit your choice is that all pairs of this season are rather long, they never end right at your wrist!
I love the style Zac Posen offered – long over-elbow clinging gloves, they look really perfect.
Elbow-length gloves also look great.
Those which are a bit shorter than that are presented in a huge variety: different colors, fingerless, tight or loose-fitting gloves.

As the New York Fashion Week is closer to its end we see more surprising collections as ever.

Michael Kors whose collections are usually very classy and elegant this time has diverted to more extreme styles and colors. Still there are many strict suits that fit for office wear but there are also those who were created to seem strict but actually have exposed shoulders and long slits.

There is a stand out for cocktail dresses in this line as well – some of them are made of leather and accessorized with rock-style chains instead of necklaces. It’s a very specific design but what I like about it is that it looks pretty unusual.

There are a few asymmetrical one-shoulder style gowns which were the trend for spring-summer of the year. That means this trend will find itself again in fall and winter garments.
