Mullet dresses are easy to wear. But a few rules still have to be followed to create the best impression. First, you have to decide how long you want your front hemline to be. If you have beautiful slender legs you can choose a mini version (but don’t go too mini if you want to look appropriate!). Or you can opt for a longer hemline to leave just your sandals visible in case you feel insecure about legs or just want little exposure down there to make people focus on something else (your neckline, for instance).

Your second step is to decide on the length of your back hemline. You can try a long train for an evening occasion or shorter variant for a cocktail party or a casual look.

Next think of the actual design of the dress you would like to wear. It can be simple and sculpted, or chic, full and flouncy. You can even consider rocking a huge puffy mullet dress (remember Sarah Jessica Parker’s dress by Alexander McQueen at the Sex And The City 2 premiere).

The last but not the least thing to consider is the type of shoe to wear with a mullet dress. Heels are the only option and the higher the better. Flats don’t work with mullets.

Secondly, I love the idea – mix of wild African prints, luxurious fabrics and restrained but chic designs. Prints featured in Michal Kors’ Afriluxe collection for Spring/ Summer 2012 ranged from old but fave leopard and zebra to flame and grass. (See 5 Fresh Ideas For Wearing Leopard Print)

Silhouettes are very Kors’ – straight and severe in suits and flowing and airy in dresses. Designer’s sarongs looked beautiful as did the sport-style swimsuits.

Accessory line is amazing. Gladiator sandals are high to the extremes, they climb almost to the knee. Some comes laced, others are made with the use of straps and buckles.

Bags in Michael Kors’ Spring/ Summer 2012 collection looked even more impressive. The crocodile-strap cross-body bag is the piece an elegant lady would be terrified of. But in the collection it looked very harmonious. Belt purses still remain hot for the Spring/ Summer 2012 season. Kors had those in plenty.

Michael Kors limited jewelry in his Spring/ Summer 2012 collection to minimum – just a few huge chunky bangles and massive ethnic necklaces.

To conclude I can say I like Michael Kors’ Spring/ Summer 2012 collection. It is not very innovative but comprises lots of interesting elements. And while I find quite a few items that I would add to my own wardrobe the impression of the range is huge.

After the New York legislation on same-sex marriage has passed the couple has announced their plans marry. The rings are simple but classy while the ceremony was intimate and took place on the beach. Miranda Kerr opted for a chic Michael Kors floor length skirt and a matching cashmere black strap bodysuit.

Karlie Kloss was accompanied at the ceremony by Jason Wu who had also designed her sexy dress.

Doutzen Kroes opted for an asymmetrical red gown which she teamed up with a pair of lace Louboutin ankle boots.

Hana Soukupova was traditional in the choice of her attire for the 2011 CFDA Awards. She wore a luxurious Marchesa dress.

Blake Lively, who looks fantastic wearing a Michael Kors tunic and Lorraine Schwartz bracelets for the cover of US Glamour July 2011 issue, has spoken to Florence Welch about everything in her life that might be interesting to Glamour readers.

Blake Lively on breakups: “Every relationship you have, you’re learning and growing and taking something from that. So for me, it’s never been too dramatic of a thing when something ends.”

Blake Lively on becoming the new face of Chanel’s Mademoiselle handbag: “It’s such an honor. When I found out I got [the job], you and I went to dinner and concocted this plan, like two little girls at a tea party, saying, ‘Oh, it would be the best if we had a party. And you’ll perform, and we’ll do it in Paris.’ Like you and I were in charge of Chanel!”

Blake Lively on being her own stylist: “I think I became my own stylist by not knowing any better. And once I was told it was time to get one, I thought: This is one of my favorite hobbies! And I’m going to pay someone to steal my hobby from me? That’s a terrible idea!”

Blake Lively on getting ready for an event: “I like it to be easy. I don’t feel like I have to do so much with hair and makeup, because I’m the mannequin for these beautiful clothes, so I never want to do anything too distracting. Most of the time, I put my hair in a ballerina bun, and I take it down and it’s wavy, and then I leave. I feel shy when people are fussing on me. And my diet of choice before events is a chicken potpie from Tea & Sympathy, because they never have enough food at these things.”

Blake Lively on Twitter: “People ask me why I don’t tweet. Honestly, I’m so sick of myself.”
