It must be difficult to appear at a few events that follow one after the other. But some of our favorite celebrities did have to, as on Sunday they celebrated BAFTA 2010 and yesterday (February 22) Elle Style awards 2010 were held in London.

Kristen Stewart was one of those who attended this event. The actress wore a Pucci Origami Strapless Wool Dress that looked good on her. Kristen felt happy at the ceremony as she was named the Woman of the Year.

Naomi Campbell looked fantastic in Alexander McQueen’s dress and a pair of perfect black heels. The supermodel received the Outstanding Contribution award for all her charity job.

Leona Lewis looked classy in a black frock complimented with a black hat, lace fingerless gloves and beige shoes. The attire was gorgeous but it seems to me Leona looks older in it.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen looked beautiful and trendy in their outfits probably created by themselves.

You already know that Prada has launched a fashion book that illustrates the development of the brand and fashion as a whole within a period of over 30 years.
The party dedicated to the book was organised a few days ago (November, 13 ). Lots of A-list celebrities attended it and as usual women tried to see each other but better to show off themselves.
Here you can see the most glamorous outfits ladies wore to the event.
See and enjoy!

I think these two girls deserve to be the first on my list, not because they were the best-looking but because they really stole the attention.
They are Chloe Sevigny and Zoe Saldana.
Both chose Miu Miu dresses from Fall-Winter 2009/2010 collection with deep decolletes that exposed their lingerie and midriffs.
Zoe looked bright and bold while Chloe was more feminine with her light-pink sequin dress.

Christina Ricci and Ginnifer Goodwin opted for prom-style frocks made of satin and embellished with corsages.
Christina looked delicate and sophisticated in her light blue dress paired with fabulous stilettoes and a black clutch.
Ginnifer was the cutest at the party in her white dress, dark-purple open-toe shoes and a black clutch.

Jessica Alba worn a dark-blue velvet dress with a V-neck and looked perfectly slim.
Jessica Biel was in a black Twenties-inspired dress from Prada’s pre-fall collection decorated with fringing and pearls. The woman looked fresh and happy as if she had been on a long vacation.

Miuccia Prada who works for Prada and also creates for Miu Miu company has recently said she is making men’s skirt short for revenge.

She explained:
I’m working on a men’s collection right now and someone at the office worriedly asked me, ‘You’re not going to make short skirts again, are you?’ So I’m now pushing it even further, just for revenge!”
The 60-year-old designer likes inventing things. She prefers to work on unusual fashion styles as these stop her from being bored.
She said:
Menswear should take cues from womenswear, and not just the other way around. Menswear is so limited so I’m free with my ideas. Otherwise I’d die of boredom.”
Miuccia also noted that she hates “cliches” associated with the work of designers.
She said:
I hate the cliche of fashion designers since the beginning. And so because I came from another background – and actually being a feminist at those times, not that I’ve changed so much – I didn’t want to do anything that fashion designers were doing.”
So, men will be soon advised to wear super-shorts skirts. Well, probably this will look interesting on some of them.

The Spring/Summer 2010 by Miu Miu was all about youth and sophistication.
Short, high-waisted dresses with nice prints, quirky but elegant pantsuits, cutouts on the torso – were the designs Italian designer Miuccia Prada made for young and fashion-conscious.
I was questioning innocence, questioning youth,” Prada said backstage. “What do they mean today in a world that’s the opposite?”

The prints and embellishments were interesting enough: the cat and bird and dog patterns, as well as holographic paillettes and crystals embroidered on sheer nude mesh insets.

Some dresses looked too childish to wear as well as a few blouses. I can hardly imagine some stars like Madonna, Kate Moss or even Lily Allen wearing any of these.

The accessory line was very limited. Shoes came all in the same style but in various colors and different detailing. Handbags were simple, though some of the clutches were nice.

Miu Miu Fall-Winter 2009-2010 ad campaign is very special, unlike their other photoshoots. First of all because no A-list celebrities are involved, though previously the label invited Katie Holmes, Kirsten Dunst, and Lindsay Lohan to grace the campaigns.

Who the brand did invite were three models.
But again don’t expect to see someone like Gisele Bundchen or Kate Moss. Here are fresh faces – Hannah Holman, Mimmi Soderstrom, and Ilda Lundqvist.

Speaking about the collection itself I can say it is minimalistic.
Models do not look too bright or catchy, they look elegant and sophisticated.

Colors used are muted and reserved.
Designs are unique and sexy with all those cuts and décolleté. Besides, pay particular attention to the materials used, they are luxurious: fur, soft wool, cashmere.

Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf), the star of popular Gossip Girl was photographed for New York Times Magazine by Terry Richardson. The pics are very bright and colorful.

Diane Von Furstenberg dress, $385, and hat.
Some quotes from the interview:
Blair’s style influence on her personal style:
Not at all. If anything, it’s the opposite. Her style is a little expensive for my taste, but it loudly communicates that she is who she is and that she does what she does. I find that admirable. And she’s always dressed appropriately, which I can’t always say about myself.”
About making movies:
Well, first I’m going on a much-deserved vacation. Then I’m starting work on a comedy called Date Night with Steve Carell and Tina Fey. I play the babysitter and they go out for a date one night and everything goes awry. After that I’m starring in this crazy movie called The Roommate, which is directed by Christian Christiansen and is sort of a re-telling of Single White Female. I’m the emotionally detached narcissist, but it’s early days and I still don’t know who’s playing the psycho opposite me.”

Right pic: Gucci dress, $2,995, and necklace. Alexis Bittar bracelets. Miu Miu shoes.
Left pic: Roberto Cavalli dress, $7,800. Deborah Marquit bra, $165. Bvlgari bracelet.

Miuccia Prada has closed Paris Fashion Week with a Fall 2009 show for Miu Miu telling about “playing with the bourgeoisie.”

The collection made my heart beating faster as I have found something I had been looking for a long time – coats and dresses made from what could have been upholstery fabric.
It looks great and I loved these pieces as soon as I saw them.

The entire collection was very interesting and unusual.
It included necklines plunged to reveal nude bras and shimmering décolleté area, fur sashes draped across the chest (looked very luxurious!) that might stand in for missing shirts, half-coats, often sleeveless, with undone buttons or cutout backs, flimsy silk blouses with long, narrow skirts (the most striking combination came in turquoise and ruby), long classic style dresses with tiger prints, and others.

Particular attention should be given to sequins and furs that were very widely used in the line.
They could be found not only on skirts, blouses and dresses, but on socks, shoes and bags as well! Looked really chic and sophisticated!

The range was created in plenty of colors including peach, raspberry, maroon, turquoise, black, nude, green and gold. Nice, not much bright or catchy but still very attractive!

Popular brand Miu Miu has an amazing line up for Valentine’s Day – great for that bona-fide lux-lover with the prompt to downpour.

I like the coffer key chain, heart shaped keypad lock and the mini keypad lock that is pure fascination too.

All designs are in red colors with gold.

Of course, this special edition of goods contains all fashion trends: massive necklaces with crystals and stones, small bags, chain handles on bags.

We have told you about Katie Holmes for Miu Miu and now we can show you beautiful pictures of the actress for this brand.

In the ad campaign for Spring/Summer 2209, which was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Holmes portrays “a luminous icon radiating a sense of mystery and theatricality.”

Previous Miu Miu models include Lindsay Lohan, Kristen Dunst, Drew Barrymore and Chloe Sevigny.
