I like Issa collections. They are pretty, stylish and often controversial. If we take Spring/ Summer 2010 line with Naomi Campbell ruling the catwalk – I absolutely loved it!

The new collection for Fall 2010 seems very interesting, too. It is focused on grown women mostly and outfits look classy and beautiful. However, it seems the designer hesitated about what target audience to choose and created a few outfits that are youghful. I think the latter type wasn’t very successful with all those sequins and bright prints.

Quilted jackets and ankle boots that were to match an evening dress were a mess. But extra-long leather gloves, grey jersy frocks and smart mini dresses were a hit of the range!

Naomi Campbell has confessed she admires Madonna and Lady GaGa’s sense of style. The supermodel likes the way two style icons reinvent themselves again and again.

She said:
I think my style icons are people that reinvent themselves – they come back with a different look, a different vibe, a different sound and Madonna is definitely one of those people. It’s just amazing to watch her through all these decades-she just keeps coming back.”
Naomi belives Lady GaGa is the one who made people ‘go a bit more edgy with their fashion,’
She told people.com:
She’s definitely a big style icon for everyone, and it’s made everyone go a bit more edgy with their fashion.”
Besides, the beauty is sure GaGa is very talented and we haven’t even seen what she can do yet.
She commented:
I think Lady Gaga is extremely talented-she is a composer, a pianist, she’s an opera singer and she does classical music too. I think we haven’t even seen her talent yet.”
Naomi has recently won the Outstanding Contribution at Elle Style Awards that means people value her work with safe pregnancy charity The White Ribbon Alliance (WRA) and her long-term career in fashion industry.

It must be difficult to appear at a few events that follow one after the other. But some of our favorite celebrities did have to, as on Sunday they celebrated BAFTA 2010 and yesterday (February 22) Elle Style awards 2010 were held in London.

Kristen Stewart was one of those who attended this event. The actress wore a Pucci Origami Strapless Wool Dress that looked good on her. Kristen felt happy at the ceremony as she was named the Woman of the Year.

Naomi Campbell looked fantastic in Alexander McQueen’s dress and a pair of perfect black heels. The supermodel received the Outstanding Contribution award for all her charity job.

Leona Lewis looked classy in a black frock complimented with a black hat, lace fingerless gloves and beige shoes. The attire was gorgeous but it seems to me Leona looks older in it.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen looked beautiful and trendy in their outfits probably created by themselves.

All those who are compassionate to people suffered in the result of a horrible earthquake in Haiti try to find ways to help. While socialites and actors sell their own couture outfits and design T-shirts and bags, Naomi Campbell decided to do something she knows well and is very good at –organizing a fashion show for charity and modelling clothes. It might be her first time being the leader of the event but she did it perfectly.
Lots of predictions were made about the show parade of stars but still there was too much we didn’t know. And finally it happened. Fashion For Relief Haiti event was held as a part of Mercedes-Benz NY Fashion Week at Bryant Park’s The Tent on Friday (February 12).

The show was fantastic. The models and celebrities walked the runway in beautiful designer clothing to raise money for those in need. Some did make a stir by appearing at the catwalk, for example Chris Brown, Kelly Osborn, Sarah Ferguson, Agyness Deyn and of course Naomi herself.

The last part of the show was dedicated to honouring Alexander McQueen. Seven models wore his fabulous creations. A few pairs of monster shoes were worn but, fortunately, no one was hurt.
However, it was Agyness Deyn who shocked everyone as well as made those smile. The supermodel fell down twice in her huge Burberry shoes and had to finish her way barefoot.

Campbell said before the show that she’s always nervous before walking the runway, ‘but just doubly nervous’ for the relief show because she had to be dependent on friends to collaborate and wanted everyone to enjoy it.

Unlike other supermodels like Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell isn’t going to give up modelling as this is a great passion in her life.

The 39-year-old beauty claims she still gets a thrill out of walking the runway.
She said:
I still love my day job. When I get asked, if I’m in the right part of the world then I love to do it. I like the adrenaline rush and the live aspect of it. It’s nice when it’s well received and I like helping out the designers if they want me there.”
Besides being busy with her modelling work, Naomi has been working hard on her charity ventures. She is said to be currently putting the final touches to the Fashion For Relief show, that will raise money for mothers and babies of Haiti.
She told vogue.com:
I don’t want to tell you yet who’ll be in the show, I like to keep the element of surprise – it’ll be great, unexpected people. People keep coming to the events because they know they’ll definitely get their money’s worth.”
Although the model doesn’t reveal much about the upoming show we know that such designers as Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Alice Temperley and Stella McCartney will definitely show their creations during the event.

I don’t blame Naomi for wearing fur, it is really fabulous and chic.
But she must have forgotten that 15 years ago she was a staunch supporter of the anti-fur in fashion movement and claimed she would ‘rather go naked than wear fur’.
And now she appears wearing a Dolce&Gabbana coat from their 2009 autumn collection. The coat looks beautiful with huge puff sleeves and jewelled buttons.

Naomi arrived to the premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor in Milan last night with her billionaire boyfriend Vladislav Doronin. The couple happily posed in front of cameras.
The supermodel used to be a spokeswoman for PETA and once appeared naked in a high-profile poster campaign with four other models in 1994.

But later she was sacked by the charity after wearing real Russian sable fur at a Fendi catwalk show. Her new appearance made people sigh in distress and she even was called a hypocrite by Sir Paul McCartney’s ex-wife Heather Mills who is a true follower of PETA.
However, this didn’t seem to upset Naomi.
She said:
And as for that Heather whatshername [McCartney] saying she’d written to me to complain about me wearing fur and I’d never replied. I never received a letter, nothing.’
And yes, I am still wearing fur, but I’ve made up with that guy from Peta.’

Supermodel Naomi Campbell donated one of her Hermes “It” handbags in pale green alligator skin, which costs 21,000 euros ($31,500) to the charity for White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood. This foundation promotes safe motherhood worldwide and fights against raising deaths in pregnancy, which take away more then half a million women a year.

The Hermes “Birkin” bag had been estimated at between 12,000 to 15,000 euros.
The Hermes auction takes place on November 10, 2009
French auctioneers Artcuria sold this Birkin bag, which was named after British-born celebrity, singer and actress Jane Birkin, who sold her own in 2007 for 74,000 euros ($ 108,000).These money was donated to a human rights group.
The price is the record for a leather handbag at the time.

It seems to me the supermodels like Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell will stay with us forever. Well, for Naomi it’s quite clear, she is as gorgeous as ever. It looks like time doesn’t change her at all. As for Kate, she is no longer as young and beautiful as she used to be. Probably it’s her lifestyle that affects her so much. But Photoshop does miracles even to her.
Vogue UK October Issue features both of the models together with Lily Donaldson and Stella Tennant in a series of photos for ‘Cast & Crew’.
Kate Moss looks young and sexy wearing a leather corset, sheer top, and Union Jack flag.

Naomi Campbell shows off her fantastic body in dalmatian-spots-covered pants, spike heels and ‘V o g u e’ letters on her.

Lily Donaldson is hot and chic wearing leather and fur.

Stella Tennant is more casual than others but still looks chic.

This runway was special because of Naomi Campbell.
This super-beauty can make even the most ordinary clothes look great. And this happened again with Issa for Spring-Summer 2010 at London Fashion Week.

The collection itself has nothing much outstanding but, of course, there are some items worth your attention. First of all it’s an ant pattern on about the third of outfits presented in the line.
Those trails of ants were printed or embroidered on a handful of the party dresses.

Rain-forest exotica also inspired some of the garments.Playful green, rose, yellow and orange tones create the illusion of a warm sunny day – somethng we will long for a lot in cold winter months.

Fabrics are light, airy, sheer – perfect for summer walks.

We have allready told you about Naomi Campbell’s indignation with the fact black models are not given jobs during the crisis. And now photographer Nick Knight continues the topic. He says the fashion industry is racist.
Nick claims fashion focuses more on white models, and many industry professionals feel reluctant to work with black beauties.
He said:
I’ve always found the fashion industry to be extremely racist, to the point that I don’t know how they get away with it. When I first started I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, ‘We can’t have a black model – they’re not aspirational.’ You can’t say that!”

Talking about Naomi’s anger, Nick told Britain’s The Times newspaper:
Talk to Naomi and she’s f***ing incandescent with rage that she’s not on the cover of Vogue. She puts it down to racism.”
Black supermodel Naomi Campbell says it goes too far now and black models are interesting to the public and designers only in Ferbruary:
The only time they care about black models is in February because it is Black History Month.”
It seems that black models do need some support:
Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington would go to big designers and say, ‘If you don’t pick Naomi to be in your show, then I don’t want to be in it.’ That’s how I got Prada and Helmut Lang”
The only reason I got the cover of French Vogue was because Yves Saint Laurent called up and told them he’d pull his ads if they didn’t. So of course I got the cover.”
Racism isn’t good in any form, so I’m quite for Naomi and other black models’ part.
