Karl Lagerfeld is reported to have found the new face for Chanel handbag campaign. And you would be surprised to know that it is the British model Alice Dellal, who is best known for her half-shaved head and being a member of a controversial all-girl rock group Thrush Metal.

Alice Dellal is said to be going to promote Chanel Spring/ Summer 2012 handbag collection. According to the rumors she has attracted attention of Karl Lagerfeld during a recent photoshoot.

If rumors confirm to be true Alice Dellal will follow in the footsteps of such big names as Vanessa Paradis, Claudia Schiffer, Nicole Kidman and Keira Knightley as well as Blake Lively, Lily Allen, and Diane Kruger who all used to be models for Chanel.

Despite being a model Alice Dellal confesses she isn’t into fashion much:

I wish I was more into clothes. I don’t know the current designers. My style used to be a tame version of me and it’s getting more and more drastic, and is probably going to get really really weird towards the end. Be afraid.”

Alice Dellal isn’t the only person in her family who works in the industry. Her sister, Charlotte, designs shoes for Sienna Miller and Kate Moss under the name Charlotte Olympia.

Taylor Swift looked stunning at the 2011 Country Music Awards held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The star, who was honored Entertainer Of The Year Award, wore a J. Mendel gown and Christian Louboutin shoes to the event. Lorraine Schwartz jewelry finished the look perfectly.

Peplums, which were very popular in the 80s of the last century, have been almost forgotten considering the fact vogue has loved skinny girls for over 30 years. Now with the growing interest in healthy size shapes women are no longer afraid of looking a little bigger (with no extremes, of course!) and that brings a natural revival of peplums. Modern peplums are restrained regarding the silhouette but they can be as colorful as those ladies liked rocking in the 20s century. Beware of too much volume but go daring if you like color. You can try the safer hues or even neutrals.

Pair your peplum with a pencil skirt and a clinging top for a slim look. And avoid noticeable accessories to focus attention on the trendy detail.
The best way to demonstrate the power of the trend is to show you celebrities wearing it. And if stars wear something, we will definitely see the same things on non-celebrity fashionistas soon. Emma Stone, Emma Watson, Nicole Kidman, Liv Tyler are just a few of those who adopted the hot trend into their wardrobes.

Eva Longoria chose the black-and-white Ashi dress for the 2011 Grammys. Her black Brian Atwood shoes complemented the dress perfectly.

Jennifer Lopez went for an extremely short Emilio Pucci dress, Christian Louboutin spike shoes, and a crystal clutch by Daniel Swarovski for the glam event.

It’s a trade-off: In your 20s, you’re bounding around, they’re attached at your hip, and you can just go and do anything. But I’m much more of a homebody now. My roots are deeper.”

Nicole Kidman on what she would tell her 20-year-old self: “That you’re going to meet the love of your life. My whole thing, my whole thrust in life, was hoping I would.”

Nicole Kidman on moving to Nashville: “I love living a ways away. That’s what I’ve worked for in my career, to not have to live in Los Angeles. So it was fortuitous that Keith happened to live in Tennessee. He brought me down to this place called Leipers Fork, just outside of Nashville, very lush and rural. I just went aaah. You know how you dream as a girl; I’m one of those people. I would meet a guy, then I would imagine myself married and with kids within the first hour. [Laughs] But it worked out.”
