We love Katy Perry – funny, mischievous and super-talented. What I personally like her for is her fashion sense. Katy is one of the most expected girls at parties. Her outfits are always discussed in media and praised. She knows how to look good, obviously.

However, fashionably speaking, she has changed a lot since she had met Russel Brand. She no longer looks so sophisticated and elegant as she used to. She’s lost her glamour side. Maybe it’s Russel who’s made her think that practical clothes are better than beautiful ones. I can never be sure about this, but I do feel sorry for losing glamorous Katy.

The songbird poses for Nylon magazine March 2010 issue wearing playful outfits like those she wore at the beginning of her career when she ’kissed a girl’. Flower jacket, lip shorts, pleated skirt, Mickey T-shirt and of course a colorful bow in her hair – remind us of her comliicated character and attitude to life.

Hilary Duff’s clothing inspiration

Hilary Duff’s new fashion line is inspired by her own fashion staples. When working on it the girl thought of clothes she couldn’t do without and included those into the range.

She said:

I designed clothing that I feel are staples for my closet. Every girl needs a great leather jacket, and every girl needs a skinny pair of black jeans.”

The actress-turned-designer has launched the collection under her own label Femme for DKNY Jeans this fall.

She loves her designs a lot and she loves being an actress. But being so much popular is still new for her. Hilary finds it strange when she can’t visit shopping malls without being recognized and hounded by fans and photographers.

She explained to Nylon magazine:

I walked into a mall one day and was mobbed by people. And I just remember feeling really different than everyone else. I felt really loved. But it was weird at the same time.”

About her empathetic nature.

I feel a lot. I get really bad stomachaches all the time. So I went to a doctor, and he said, ‘You’re a feeler. I take on people’s pain a little too much.”

Is she completely different from Serena?

No, because I dress just like Serena! I own half her wardrobe, so it’s far too similar to the way I dress. I feel ridiculous at times with her – because I’m, you know, killing someone or marrying someone, but I look like me. I’m like, ‘Oh, this is absurd.’”

It never occurred to me that one form of acting was better than another. I think if you approach your career like that you’re limiting yourself to a very boring path. For me, it’s about the material.”

The thing about vampirism is that it taps into a female point of view – you have an old-fashioned gentleman with manners who is a f—ing killer… it’s an interesting duality, because in our present society it would be an odd thing for a woman to say, ‘I want my man to be physical with me.’ How, as a modern man, can you f—ing work that? I don’t look like a Barbie doll, and probably never will. People are incredibly literal in how they view you. You have dark hair and pale skin? You must be brooding.
