Yesterday night (December 9) the British Fashion Awards 2009 were held at the royal Courts of Justice. The ceremony that marked the finale to the British Fashion Council’s 25th anniversary celebrations was sponsored by Swarovski.
The event was wholly dedicated to fashion and those people who have contributed to its development within the last 25 years. Over 500 people arrived including industry leaders, celebrities, designers, retailers, models and journalists.

Lots of celebrity women appeared on the red carpet wearing sumptuous outfits. Singer-turned designer Victoria Beckham wore one of her own creations – a floor-sweeping silk crepe Eighties-style gown with crystal embroidery on the shoulderpads. She looked gorgeous as always.
The Bristish supermodel Kate Moss opted for a similar-to-Posh’s dress – a sheer black Flamenco-style tiered dress with a super-long train. To cover her dignity a bit Kate donned a black blazer. Beautiful!

Bond-girl Olga Kurylenko looked stunning in a short black dress and a bolero, which she paired with black suede pumps and a clutch.
Designer Myleene Klass looked absolutely fabulous in a black frock with sheer sleves and a pair of perfect red shoes.
The other two girls in black were Eva Herzigova and Daisy Lowe who both rocked wonderful long gowns with cutaways and long splits.

Rising star in modelling business Amber le Bon sported a black mini and a blazer together with a pair of grey pumps and a white bag.

This girl had been unknown and then suddenly she got everything. Olga Kurylenko, a Ukrainian actress, a Bond girl, is very famous now. She is in demand as an actress and as a model too.

Her recent achivement has been a contract with a company producing sophisticated drink Campari. Olga was asked to front the campaign.

Having agreed for collaboration the 29-year-old followed in the footsteps of actresses Jessica Alba, Salma Hayek and Eva Mendes who used to represent the brand.

Olga will start the work in 2010 but the first photoshoots have already been made for the Italian brand’s 11th calendar, dubbed Campari Milano.

The Chanel couturier Karl Lagerfeld, who currently wrote the epitaph for “bling” and noticeable using, has shown a million of ideas for “recession luxury” in his Paris Haute Couture Fashion week collection.
The show was splendid in more ways than one.

The catwalk models wore white paper head-dresses made in origami-style by the Tokyo milliner, Kamo, and their nails were painted in white color.
The idea was a white page,” Lagerfeld said days before his show.

The outfits, gracefully-cut as if with a knife for butter, were in parchment-cream and virgin white. The white color was one of Coco Chanel’s favorite colours from the start of her career in the 1920s.

An casual blaze of black PVC or smoky-grey rose-print appeared through white colors.

The show was placed in a former bank. It’s columns and ceiling garlanded with elaborative white paper flowers and doilies.
