Haute Couture is always extravagant and bizarre but this Jean Paul Galtier collection can be also characterized as military-chic, military in a good way. The whole range has been insipred by Montezuma and the Aztecs, and there is a bit from a more modern cyborg style.

Warrior plating in combination with palm leaves looks interesting though a little weird. Palm leaves are incorporated into lots of pieces starting from dresses to bags and headwear. Feathers and stones give additional exotic feel to the line.

Hats are elaborate and luxurious. And those plaits are everywhere in the most strange forms.

I love the collection. It looks fantastic! The pity is that the majority of these outfits will never be worn.

Chanel is timeless. Karl Lagerfeld puts all his soul in pieces he creates and that makes his collections unforgettable. Everyone can look stylish wearing Chnael.

The Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2010 collection is very feminine and romantic. Most of the pieces are airy and almost transparent like spring light clouds and tiny field flowers.

No black was used, just white, beige, pale pink, yellow and silver. Satin, chiffon, organza were the main fabrics while rosettes and embroidery were the preferred adornments.

The collection described as ‘neon baroque’ gives the impression of chic, elegance and sophistication. Some of outfits seem to be perfect wedding dresses. And the oversized bows pinned to models’ hair reminded us of ladies of past centuries who were lucky to wear these to balls.

Brides are the happiest women in the world but they can drive crazy almost any shop assistant selling wedding dresses. The girls are very particular, often have no idea of what they want to wear at their big day.
But there is at least one fashion brand that seems to have everything a woman can ever dream of – Elie Saab.

For Haute Couture Fall 2009 Elie Saab sent over 40 brides down the catwalk wearing sophisticated and glamorous wedding dresses. All of them were different but still wonderful.
Some came snowy white, others were in ivory tone; some were floor-sweeping, others were super short – the variety created the opportunity for every bride to find the very best dress for herself, to feel like a princess.

There were brides in goddess gowns with trailing trains, in flirty, ivory bodice dresses and in creamy tweed skirt suits, all dripping with sequins, beads and crystals that sparkled like freshly fallen snow. Besides, there were unusual trouser suits with jackets that had huge puffy sleeves.

John Galliano Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 Haute Couture fashion show for Christian Dior was sensational. Lots of really perfect designs showed us what the beauty and originality is.

First of all we should mention that the show was presented at an unusual place. The models walked down the catwalk at Dior salon in Paris. Surrounded with the flowers the girls looked very pretty and fascinating.

The choice of the place is explained very simply. It is not for cost-cutting purposes, according to Dior CEO Sidney Toledano, but due to the desire of the designer to express the spirit of couture.

In Paris in the morning of July 7 2009, Armani Prive presented his astonishing and fabulous Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 haute couture fashion collection.

It don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that Bling” said Giorgio Armani’s about this collection.

The designer’s mixed men’s dailywear and haute couture, the result could be compared to the celebrity red carpet – bodysuits and trousers with crystal beaded, shimmery and sheer adornment on the back and sleeves.

Haute couture is something that is always hard to explain, it is extravagancy and sophistication. Collections impress us with their unusual designs and chic embellishments, great accessories and fantastic shoes. This fashion is very closely connected to fine art that we all admire so much.

The garments created are not for everyday wear and the number of buyers is very small actually, but if you own a piece of that you are lucky, and ordinary girls feel envious to you as they will probably never have an opportunity to don an item of this kind.

John Galliano who currently works for Dior has unveiled his fabulous collection for the haute couture season. The designs are awesome and when you look at all this beauty you realize that those extra zeros at Dior labels (an evening dress might cost around £50,000) are no more important, it’s something you want to pay for.

The gowns presented in the collection by Galliano were gorgeous – with full, stiffened skirts, one with four distinct ripples in the shape of a clover, others reined in closer toward the body. Collars were often latticed and laced; sleeves pouffed and pintucked; pleats rolled with feminine power.

The Chanel couturier Karl Lagerfeld, who currently wrote the epitaph for “bling” and noticeable using, has shown a million of ideas for “recession luxury” in his Paris Haute Couture Fashion week collection.
The show was splendid in more ways than one.

The catwalk models wore white paper head-dresses made in origami-style by the Tokyo milliner, Kamo, and their nails were painted in white color.
The idea was a white page,” Lagerfeld said days before his show.

The outfits, gracefully-cut as if with a knife for butter, were in parchment-cream and virgin white. The white color was one of Coco Chanel’s favorite colours from the start of her career in the 1920s.

An casual blaze of black PVC or smoky-grey rose-print appeared through white colors.

The show was placed in a former bank. It’s columns and ceiling garlanded with elaborative white paper flowers and doilies.
