Rachel Zoe advises women to forget about wardrobe staples and start purchasing things that stand out. The famous stylist considers it is better to make a statement than blend into the background. Basic items and basic colors are not for her and she wants us to follow the same rule.

On her website, rachelzoe.com, she said:
Honestly, the word basic doesn’t really exist in my vocabulary – sure I have a favourite cut of denim and classic leather jacket never hurt anybody, but more often than not, I like my every day items to stand out.”
However, Rachel does have a list of pieces she thinks every girl should have in her wardrobe and it includes 20 items. Little black dress is one of those though generally LBD is one of the ‘staples’.
She said:
Wear as it is or rely on it as a base for your favourite layering pieces.”
Talking about accessories, Rachel says a boldly-coloured cocktail ring is what we all need to own:
Add a pop of colour to your everyday wardrobe with a go big or go home cocktail ring.”

You already know that Prada has launched a fashion book that illustrates the development of the brand and fashion as a whole within a period of over 30 years.
The party dedicated to the book was organised a few days ago (November, 13 ). Lots of A-list celebrities attended it and as usual women tried to see each other but better to show off themselves.
Here you can see the most glamorous outfits ladies wore to the event.
See and enjoy!

I think these two girls deserve to be the first on my list, not because they were the best-looking but because they really stole the attention.
They are Chloe Sevigny and Zoe Saldana.
Both chose Miu Miu dresses from Fall-Winter 2009/2010 collection with deep decolletes that exposed their lingerie and midriffs.
Zoe looked bright and bold while Chloe was more feminine with her light-pink sequin dress.

Christina Ricci and Ginnifer Goodwin opted for prom-style frocks made of satin and embellished with corsages.
Christina looked delicate and sophisticated in her light blue dress paired with fabulous stilettoes and a black clutch.
Ginnifer was the cutest at the party in her white dress, dark-purple open-toe shoes and a black clutch.

Jessica Alba worn a dark-blue velvet dress with a V-neck and looked perfectly slim.
Jessica Biel was in a black Twenties-inspired dress from Prada’s pre-fall collection decorated with fringing and pearls. The woman looked fresh and happy as if she had been on a long vacation.

How often it happens that people are so professional at work but fail to use their knowledge and skill when it comes to themselves and the family.
Rachel Zoe is just another example of these unhappy circumstances.

Working as a celebrity stylist Rachel doesn’t always have enough time to make up her own wardrobe. She has worked with stars including Nicole Richie, Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, Keira Knightley and others and has been very good at her job.
But as it turns out the girl is too busy making sure her clients always wear stylish outfits that she doesn’t have time or opportuity to consider her own fashion credentials.
She commented:
When it comes to me I go against the grain and my mantra about getting ready. It literally takes me five or 10 minutes. I’m so busy worrying about what everyone else is wearing I don’t care about me. As long as it goes on and it fits me well then I don’t mind. It’s ‘Great, here I go’.”
And it’s not only herself that she is too busy to take care of, but her husband Rodger Berman lacks her fashion tips.
She said:
I have a full-time job so I cannot be there to style my husband. I am a little off-duty when it comes to that. I sometimes put in my two cents worth.”

Rachel Zoe has confessed that her glamorous style was created when she was a poor teenager. The fact she didn’t have much money forced her to make up ideas on how to dress nicely but spend little.
The answer was easy and Rachel understood that the best and most affordable style for her was vintage.

She says:
As soon as I was old enough to shop I fell in love with vintage. When I was younger, as a teenager, I used to ask myself how I could get this glamour for, like, not thousands and thousands of dollars.
Ultimately, that answer kept coming back up as vintage. How could I get those vintage fur coats, that peasant dress or kaftan. That’s when I fell in love with vintage. For me, it became the way that I could get that unique piece that no one else could have.”

Another celebrity to design her own clothing range is Rachel Zoe. She is filming her Bravo show and styling Hollywood’s hottest stars, including Kate Hudson, Jennifer Garner, Cameron Diaz and Demi Moore.

Formally it’s just a licensing deal so she might not have very much involvement in actually making the outfits, but at the very least they’ll have her name ‘em.
Rachel Zo’s partnering with the Beanstalk Group Inc. “to develop a line of apparel, accessories, and undergarments under the Rachel Zoe brand,” according to WWD.
Rachel Zoe tells PEOPLE that she is also working on a full-range clothing line that won’t break the bank.
It will be absolutely, 100% accessible fashion for sure — for everybody. There’s no reason for me to do a luxury-level design. That’s not who I am. I don’t think it’s what people want from me. I think that I would need to give people that fantasy becoming a reality. That’s my job,”
The Rachel Zoe line will include a complete collection that includes jewelry, clothing, handbags and fragrance.
You can bid now on pieces Zoe works for Judith Leiber along with costume jewelry straight from her drawers on eBay’s DecadesTwo store and decadestwo.com to benefit the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.

It’s all about the accessories. That what I can say about Spring 2009 Collection by Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week.

There were lots of plaids, chunky stripes, colors straight out at Wes Anderson film at September 8 Marc Jacobs Spring 2009 exhibition. Marc Jacobs played once more with 1940’s-style propered waists, pairing his tailored women’s dresses with heavy bangle bracelets. Dark metallic prints also appeared several times throughout the show, as did shoulder pads.

The handbags, shoes and belts. Even the silly hats, tilted just so.

They all awake overwhelming fashion lust in all of us every season.
Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham and Marc Jacobs in the audience, started on time–something he did for the first time last season after years of plainly being criticized for long detains.

His Spring 2009 collection activated Edwardian silhouettes among other eras and somehow made the mixture of grime with glitter work. Skirts with draping and cascading folds, made of metallic Lurex fabric and brocade-like prints were standouts, especially mixed and matched in color schemes that didn’t make ordinary sense.

Fabilous attendees included Winona Ryder, Rachel Zoe, Kelly Osbourne, Nicole Richie, Sofia Coppola, and Lauren Hutton.
