Rachel Zoe has designed only a few collections so far but those clearly reflect her signature style which is chic, elegant and sophisticated and is inspired by the ‘70s. However, for Pre-Fall 2012 the stylist-turned-fashion designer went for the ‘60s era.

Rachel Zoe Pre-Fall 2012 collection comprises classy peacoats, sexy minidresses, cropped leather jackets with faux fur collars and sleeves, skinny denim, floaty chiffon maxi dresses paired with elbow-length gloves and ankle boots, as well as traditional white-shirt-and-black-trousers combinations.

There is certain resemblance of Rachel Zoe’s designs to Victoria Beckham’s ones. Not only the shape of some dresses but the way she accessorizes the looks: the sunglasses, the gloves. But if we look broader Zoe’s creations are more feminine and less austere than Beckham’s. She adds cute frills, beautiful prints, and a whole variety of other than dresses elements.

The color palette in Rachel Zoe Pre-Fall 2012 collection is rather dark and focuses on black, taupe and grey but there are cream and mustard pieces as well as fuchsia and rich blue hues.

Zoe Saldana, who is ranked one of the most stylish women, appeared at the LACMA Art + Film Gala held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art wearing a beautiful black Gucci dress with gold thread detailing. She finished her look with Neil Lane jewelry and chic peep-toe pumps.

The second actress to wear Gucci black-and-gold dress was Evan Rachel Wood. She accessorized with Neil Lane jewelry (Just like Zoe did!!!) and a pair of Gucci sexy sandals.

Camilla Belle also donned a similar-design Gucci dress to the LACMA Art & Film Gala but her option differed a bit featuring white-color insets. Golden sandals and a black clutch added finishing touches to Camille’s look.

Other celebrities to attend the LACMA Art & Film Gala were: Olivia Wilde, Amy Adams, Kate Hudson, Emily Blunt, Uma Turman, Rashida Jones, Rachel Zoe and others.

Olivia Wilde opted for a red floor-length Gucci dress with a lovely floral detail in front.

Amy Adams Gucci dress was the most feminine and delicate of all. The Leap Year actress looked amazing.

Emily Blunt went black for the occasion. She chose a sexy beaded dress to wear to the LACMA Art & Film Gala.

Kate Hudson looked fantastic in a shimmering gold, strapless mini-dress which demonstrated the actress’ flawless post-baby shape.

Reese Witherspoon attended the LACMA Art & Film Gala in a simple black one-shoulder mini dress that she teamed up with luxurious sandals and a clutch.

Kate Beckinsale looked glamorous in a floor-sweeping white gown that she finished with a golden clutch and a gold-and-black floral belt.

All the proceeds from the LACMA Art & Film Gala will be used to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming and realize other activities supported by LACMA.

The fashion battle today will not be over a dress, it’s a coat that we are going to talk about. The two celebrities – Paris Hilton and Katherine Heigl – wore the same design by Rachel Zoe – an oversize belted camel coat with unusual sleeves. While Paris teamed the coat up with a pair of black leather pants and Christian Louboutin boots, Katherine opted for black shorts and leopardskin print boots to finish her look.

Celebrity fashionistas hesitated for a while and then took the plunge. Since then on everyone from Salma Hayek to Rachel Zoe wear turbans and look and feel wonderful.

The brightest turbans for Spring/ Summer 2011 you can find in Issa collections. They come in a variety of neon colors which range from lemon yellow to magenta. The designer suggests us wearing her turbans with chic evening gowns, romantic dresses and high-waist pants teamed with cropped tops which leave the midriff bare.

Jason Wu’s turbans were in two tones only – black and blue. Pretty simple and versatile, these looked great with any outfit the designer created.

Giorgio Armani also stuck to black and blue but made his turbans different. Some were ordinary and could be worn to any events while others were smart and would work perfectly for special occasions.

Andrew Gn used the ’70s-era Bianca Jagger look to design his turbans and matched those to colors of the garments.

Milly’s turbans come printed which gives you certain restrictions on how to wear those. If you go for a colorful turban your outfit should be simple. Be careful with the balance. Too much of color or patterns doesn’t look good.

As you can see turbans were represented in many Spring/ Summer 2011 collections. And each designer has his own vision of a modern woman wearing turban. Some prefer the classics way of wearing this headpiece and of course there are those who offer us unique ways of rocking this accessory. It’s all up to you what to choose.

Very wearable and practical, the pieces in Rachel Zoe’s Fall 2011 collection are versatile and easy to combine with other clothing. They come in reserved but beautiful colors. A lot of black make the range look more elegant, white reminds us about femininity while occasional splash of red improves the mood immediately.

With the baby due soon Rachel Zoe tries to finish everything early. She has already presented this Fall 2011 collection, sold it to a range of stores including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, and others. Besides, the stylist-turned-designer has completed her Resort 2012 collection, and already started designing Spring 2012 one.

Rachel Zoe’s Fall 2011 collection is in great demand with customers. The best-selling item until now has been a black batwing top with columns of gold sequins. Celebrity stylist says designing has always been her ‘ultimate dream’. The name for the upcoming fashion range has already been chosen – The Rachel Zoe Collection. It will include clothing, shoes and accessories.

She told WWD:

Subconsciously or consciously, my whole final goal – I don’t want to say final because that sounds very like it’s the end – but I would say my ultimate dream scenario was to be on the design side. You will absolutely see my trademark pieces. I’ll definitely do faux furs and incredible leather jackets and great trousers. But I’m catering to a broader audience.”

Although members of her design team are yet to be announced, the collection is to arrive in stores later next year.

Rachel has dressed a host of celebrities including Nicole Richie, Eva Mendes and Cameron Diaz.

The ceremony was held at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday (June 7). Everything was just fantastic: the light, the music and the stars arriving one by one to the event. And then it all began.

The winners heard their names and walked to the stage to get their award. Some were happy and smiling, others seemed to be surprised and a bit embarassed.

Marc Jacobs was named the Womenswear Designer of the Year while Marcus Wainwright and David Neville for Rag & Bone got the prize as Menswear Designers of the Year.

Alexander Wang got the Swarovski Award for Accessories and his colleage Jason Wu received the Swarovski Award for Womenswear. Swarovski Award for Menswear was given to Richard Chai.

Alexis Bittar was honored as Accessory Designer of the Year. And the last but one of the most prestigious, Popular Vote Award, was presented to Ralph Lauren.

Despite the fact all the statues were given to men, plenty of famous ladies attended the ceremony of 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards. Majority of these you can see here. I will not comment on their outfits and give you the chance to express your opinions!
