Rihanna’s first ad campaign for Emporio Armani was named the sexiest campaign of 2011, so it comes as no surprise that the brand decided to prolong the successful collaboration. The second ad, which has just been released, is even more attractive than the first. The singer looks natural and beautiful posing in simple but sexy clothing.

Rihanna, who is known for her controvercial performances, risky statements and provocative clothing, looks demure and stylish in Emporio Armani denim pieces. On one of the photographs the star lies down on a sofa dressed in a pair of jeans and a simple top. Another pic shows us the beauty in striped hotpants and a denim jacket.

Rihanna’s lingerie campaign for Emporio Armani has also been unveiled. It is as natural and lovely as the jeans campaign. See all lingerie ad photos here.

Rihanna, who took after Megan Fox as the face of Emporio Armani last season, tried her hand in designing. She must have been inspired by her own fashion sense as pieces that have actually been made by her sketches are very Rihanna – t-shirts, jeans, lingerie.

As you can see by the pictures in my post Rihanna wasn’t very creative despite the fact she was designing for such a world-known brand as Emporio Armani. She designed two t-shirts, one of which featured the singer’s face, and another had an Armani logo coordinated with Rihanna’s logo – ‘R’ letter – on it.

Jeans come in two styles: skinny and Rihanna’s favourite – a ‘boyfriend’ style with a tight leg. They are made of blue stretch and washed black denim.

Biker jacket and the bag are very ordinary. Lingerie is very feminine and sexy but we’ve seen so many sets of this kind already. So, nothing special again.

The line will hit stores worldwide in the middle of November.

While I find nothing interesting both about Rihanna and her designs Emporio Armani spokesperson said about her:

Hugely talented and extremely feminine, Rihanna is known for her amazing verve and incredible energy – qualities which make her the perfect choice to project and interpret the youthful, modern and captivating spirit of Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans. Positive with a slightly rock feel, fabulously sexy with a strong masculine edge.”

Rihanna, who covers Vogue UK November 2011 issue, wears a wonderful floral-printed dress for the front page (is it Alberta Ferretti?) and a black bodysuit, cardigan, beret and a pair of sexy pumps for the inside pictorial.

While talking to the Vogue UK interviewer Rihanna mentions that it is not she that people see on stage. It’s just a part she has to play.

Rihanna told Vogue UK:

That’s not me. That’s a part I play. You know, like it’s a piece of art… I just want to make music.”

She also notes that her troubled childhood made her too mature too early:

I saw too much. I was way too mature for my age.”

Japanese Vogue November 2011 issue features a Woman of The Year Lara Stone. The supermodel wears a number of Givenchy outfits for both the cover and the photos inside the magazine. On the cover we see her rocking a stylish green number. She looks beautiful. And the pictures inside show us quite a different Lara, also beautiful, but there is more than that about her. She is sensual and tempting, but then too confident and aggressive.

Kanye West can be a great musician and an ardent fashion fan but he’s no way a designer. He proved it to everyone at Paris Fashion Week on Saturday (October 1). A huge crowd of screaming girls greeted him before the show and his true friends including Rihanna and Beyonce supported him backstage. But all those efforts were simply in vain because the collection Kanye presented was plain and boring. Clothing was ill-fitting and unstylish.

I didn’t really expect much from Kanye West’s Spring/ Summer 2012 collection but what we saw on the runway at Paris Fashion Week was just a weak attempt to play a designer game. Moreover, I can almost feel the disappointment designers in the front row – Azzedine Alaïa, Dean and Dan Caten, Olivier Theyskens, Jeremy Scott, and the Olsens – felt during and after the show.

A few dresses which Kanye West showcased during his Spring/ Summer 2012 show revealed too much flesh and didn’t look sexy at all (But they were very Rihanna style…) probably because the fitting wasn’t right.

Despite the fact it was a spring/ summer collection there was too much fur and leather in it. There were leather trousers in patches of blue, red and black, blue jeans and glittering silver pants. Tops came loose, some knitted, others made of sheer fabric like organza. And there were jackets… shapeless and totally destroying a woman’s figure…

Shoes in Kanye West’s Spring/ Summer 2012 were horrendous – enormous-looking and totally unattractive. And the only accessory the girls were wearing were the necklaces with KanyeWest name on them.

Photographed by Steven Klein Rihanna looks interesting but not really impressive. She’s photoshopped a lot to be slimmer and that white cropped wig makes her look more like a boy. But probably it was androgyny that Emporio Armani executives wanted to promote?

Shoe trends for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 are as diverse as ever so that every woman could find something for herself. If we speak about the color scheme, then the trendiest tones for the upcoming fashion season are: black, white, stone, metallic, beige, burgundy, dark blue, chocolate, deep violet, khaki and red. Bright hues are scarce, which is normal as we prefer wearing darker colors during autumn and winter.

Materials that prevail in Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 shoe collections include: ordinary leather, patent and reptile skins, suede and satin. There is also a lot lace and occasional fur this season.

One more thing is worth mentioning before we start enumerating shoe trends for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 – this fashion season both pike and round toes are popular. This means you can stick to your favorite shape of shoe and still be very fashionable.

Now let’s start:

Shoe Trend for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 #1: Reptile skins. Reptile leather is going to be very trendy during Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012. Dozens designers opted for snake skin to create their shoes from. Crocodile leather isn’t as popular but it is still widely found in Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 footwear ranges. For reptile skins see Balenciaga, Giorgio Armani, Chloe, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, Valentino and other collections.

Shoe Trend for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 #2: Patent leather. This type of leather maybe a bit unpractical to wear and less versatile than ordinary leather, but no one will ever argue on the fact patent leather looks gorgeous. For Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 you can go for super bold color combinations like red and black, black and white, blue and burgundy. Shoe Trend for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 #7: Plenty of buckles. Fashion repeats itself. A couple of seasons ago we already spoke about buckles but then they nearly all disappeared just to return now in a larger diversity.

Shoe Trend for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 #8: Chunky heel. It is quite reasonable that chunky heels appear during colder seasons as they provide comfort and confidence we all need at this time. In Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collections there are plenty of shoes with chunky heels. Styles of these shoes are very different, from classy pumps to rocker boots.

Shoe Trend for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 #9: Spike heels. Chunky heels are comfy but they will never be as stylish and sexy as spike heels, that’s why designers always create loads of shoes with stilettos. Women love them because they love looking sexy.

Shoe Trend for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 #10: Socks in shoes. Few women really like wearing socks in their shoes but after Rihanna appeared in public sporting pumps with a pair of socks millions of her fans started copying her. If socks in shoes seem too much for you try warm tights instead. At least you will look more elegant.

Rihanna loves demonstrating her body whenever she goes and whatever she does. The more revealing the clothing the better. So, I’m quite surprised to see her all dressed for the new Cosmopolitan cover (July 2011 issue). The Bajan beauty wears a modest patterned top and neon pink pants. A number of bangles and a pair of earrings finish the summery look.

Inside the July 2011 edition of Cosmopolitan Magazine Rihanna is featured in a long striped gown posing seductively on a bed.
