The 46-year-old actress said Ri is so impressed by her edgy sense of style that she begged for the chance to dress up as her for the day.

Brigitte said:

At the People’s Choice Awards, Rihanna came up to me and said, ‘Brigitte, can I just be you for one day? I’m like, start off bleaching that hair, girl! I always take it as a compliment I’m very proud of what I’ve accomplished. The ideas and trends that we created through the years influenced so many things.”

And it turns out that Umbrella star is not the only one who admires Brigitte’s style. Supermodel Cindy Crawford has once expressed her attitude to the Rocky IV star’s distinctive look.

She explained to DANSK magazine:

When I did the Herb Ritts shot where I’m covered in fishnet, Cindy Crawford saw it and went, ‘That’s what I want to do!’ Then she copied me. We did some shoots that were absolutely beyond, but to become an icon and make a difference you have to take chances.”

While some were burning with anticipation of who was to win, others, including me, were looking forward to seeing fashion choices of the evening. And, sincerely speaking, we were not disappointed!

Lots of beautifully dressed ladies arrived to the event and sashayed on the red carpet showing off themselves.

The outfit I liked the most was worn by eccentric Lady GaGa. Custom-made Giorgio Armani Prive gown looked fabulous! I really mean it. I loved the dress! Of course it was far from ordinary but the color was nice and the design wasn’t aggressive. Rather it brought some unexpected femininity to GaGa’a look, something that she usually misses. The shoes were shocking though. They looked great but were hardly safe to wear.

Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in an unusual silver-white gown, white peep-toe shoes and absolutely sumptuous bracelets!

Lea Michele glammed up the red carpet sporting a sexy black one-shoulder dress with a feathered hemline and matching black heels.

Next comes gorgeous Marisa Miller in a snowy white vintage Gucci mini-dress and black Yves Saint Laurent pumps. The supermodel looked perfect! I’ve got one question though, why does she always choose short white dresses for red carpet events?

Mary J. Blige looked brilliant in a silk crepe fuschia Gucci gown with cut out detail. The black rubberized crocodile envelope clutch from the same brand complemented the attire.

17-year-old Party in the USA star strutted the carpet in Herve Leger short frock and Balenciaga shoes, accessorised with Judith Leiber bag and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira Schwartz.

Rihanna dazzled everyone with her floor-sweeping feathered gown. Looked great!

Nicole Kidman went classic in her long black satin dress with a beautiful neck detail.

Katy Perry opted for a flowered Zac Posen’s dress which left the singer’s back exposed. A bright red clutch was the wrong choice obviously.

Heidi Klum looked lovely and womanly in a short sparkling dress with a low neck. Her butterfly ring was fantastic!

The Black Eyed Peas frontwoman wore a pretty blue one-shoulder Pucci dress, Le Silla shoes, and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Carrie Underwood rocked a chic white dress that flattered her complexion a lot.

Beyonce looked superb in a hip-hugging Stephane Rolland dress and Casadei shoes. Lorraine Schwartz jewels added glamour to her look.

Rihanna graces W magazine February 2010 issue and looks stylish and glamorous. The black-and-white photo shoot seems to reveal the signer’s gloomy mood. Rihanna looks sad and thoughtful. Maybe it’s again Chris Brown problem that makes her forget about happiness?

After the celebrated case Ri has changed. She became more extravagant, she wears clothes that leave little to imagination and her make-up is always bright and catchy. Does she try to show she feels all right? And her mood no longer depends on rumours and situation? Maybe, who knows.

A few weeks ago Unbrella star declared that ‘every woman should have naked pictures taken’. And she’s got hers in a photo shoot for W. She goes topless and shows her tattoo collection.

The garments Ri wears are beautiful and chic. I love the trenchcoat, gloves and white Gucci dress.

In the accompanying interview the singer speaks a lot about how she recorded her new album and why it was hard for her to perform some of the songs. And again she talked about Chris Brown thing. We are getting tired of it. Maybe it’s time to stop?

The diva is featured wearing just hotpants and a few pieces of jewelry on the cover. Other few photos show a lot of the girl’s body leaving little to imagination.

Wearing a set of black lingerie, a body suit, a top exposing lots of flesh the singer looks sexy and new for us.

Talking about the photo shoot the singer gigles and says:

It’s very sexy, yeah. At one point [chairman, Island Def Jam Music Group] L.A. Reid came into the shoot, and he was like, “Rihanna, put some fucking clothes on!”

The magazine also reveals a lot about Chris Brown thing and Ri’s attitude to this really fristrating event in her life.

The sunger still feels bad about what happened but says it’s liberating and a bit therapeutic to talk about it now:

Very liberating. It’s relieving. Because it was built up for so long, and all these thoughts and emotions have been running through my mind for the past eight months. And now it’s like I finally get to let go and move on. I don’t like talking about it a lot. But every time I do, it’s better; it’s easier each time.”

She knows that speaking about it is the right decision:

Because I wanted to move on. And I knew that was the only way I could have done it. And I wanted people to move on with me. ‘Cause the last big thing they know about me is That Night. And I don’t want that to be what people define me as.”

The question of domestic violence is an urgent one and many girls would like to know how Ri has handled it.

The star replies:

I just knew I’d be good one day. I just knew it. So I just kept waiting for that day. Like, you know, even though it was tough the entire time, there were ups and downs, I just kept knowing: I’m gonna get over it one day. I’m gonna get over it.”

She claims nobody has helped her through these hard days, but music has a lot:

Nobody. Really just music. And working. ‘Cause I didn’t really want to be around anybody, for them to stare at me and stuff, and feel sorry for me. So I just—I stayed in the house a lot. Then I started to get cabin fever. I was like, I’m going crazy in here.”

Although Rihanna admits that her friends were supportive:

Me and Jay-Z, we have a very close relationship, so he was there helping me through it and giving me advice and guidance, and just words of support. Like, strength.”

Unbrella singer says she was in shock during first three days:

Initially. I would say the first…the first seventy-two hours after I realized, it hit. The entire thing was kind of a daze. I was confused. It was a little weird, but…but then, after, I was getting bored of being in the house and sittin’ around. I called Jay Brown—he’s my A&R—and I was like, “I want to get back to the studio. I want to get back.”

Speaking about the insight Rihanna wanted to give to young women she said:

Love is blind. It took a lot of strength to pull out of that relationship. To finally just officially cut it off. It was like night and day. It was two different worlds. It was the world I lived for two years, and then having the strength to say, “I’m gonna step into my own world. Start over.”

Emotional scars troubled the performer much more than physical pain:

The physical pain comes and it goes. The bruises fade away. But the thing that stays with you is the emotional scars.”

Rihanna says she loved Chris a lot but being friends with him would be difficult:

Maybe in like ten years, you know? But it’s not something that I’m depending on. I’m not depending on his friendship.”

This negative experience didn’t influence the girl’s ability to trust people:

I can trust. I mean, I don’t like to stereotype; I believe everybody’s an individual. You can’t judge someone based on someone else’s actions. There are people in the world who will love you and people in the world who will hurt you, and there are people in the world who will do both.”

And she believes her ex-boyfriend can change:

Absolutely. Yeah. Some of them won’t change and some of them will—but you know, very few of them change.”

Ri says the girls who had to suffer the violence should not blame themselves for what happened to them:

After everything happened, it was a wake-up call to me…I didn’t realize how much of an effect it had on young girls’ lives, and that’s part of the insight that I wanna give. Stop blaming yourself for that outcome. There’s nothing you can do, ever, to excuse a man’s behavior like that.”

She didn’t blame herself but she wondered what could provoke that:

I never blamed myself, but I wondered what, what did I do to provoke it?…”

Rihanna amazed us again wearing a pair of safety pins through her ears when arriving at Heathrow airport. It’s something we could never expect from a world-known singer. Well, it looks funny.

Rihanna was wearing a long oversized sweater, jeans and a white T-shirt – very casual and comfortable style. And she hid her eyes behind dark sunglasses though it was late.

Now let’s speak about fashion and style of AMA 2009 attendees. By the way, the event was held at L.A.’s Nokia Theatre yesterday (November 22).

My top pick is of course Rihanna in a strapless Marchesa gown with sexy floral cut-outs. The dress is truly special. It comes in an unusual shape and is black outside while being white on the inside. Fabulous white shoes and simple jewelry completed the attire.

What also deserves your attention here is Rihanna’s makeup. I think it’s crazy, not inspiring as the star might have hoped.

I love Versace and that’s why Shakira and her bright yellow strapless mini is the second on my list. Gorgeous figure plus absolutely marvellous frock and accessories make the 32-year-old beauty one of the best-looking on the red carpet.

Alicia Keys is the third with a hot blue dress embellished with gemstones.

She opted for beautiful blue shoes of the same hue, a tiny clutch and a set of sparkling jewelry to match the apparel.

Vivienne Westwood’s fan, Leona Lewis, comes next.

The dress she wore to the event was very like in style of the designer – royal luxury mixed with eccentric form in addition to simplicity of the idea. Robert Anthony ring fought for the attention of its own.

Nicole Kidman – embodiment of femininity – was dressed in a floor-sweeping one-shoulder gown. The pink dress was richly decorated with scales-like grey frills.

Black Eyed Peas soloist Fergie looked glamorous in a strapless glitzy gown by Georgio Armani Prive. And perfect black pumps to go with the dress.

The next four girls I’m going to talk about wore black to the red carpet. Colbie Caillat donned a sumptuous dress with a long train which she accessorised with black shoes and a white clutch.

Toni Braxton chose a gown with a deep decollete and a long slit. Wasn’t that too much to show?

Mary J.Blige goes in quite a contrast with Toni and shows nothing much. Her option is a floor-length body-fitting dress with a couple of knots to add sophistication. I like her wide bracelet and earings too.

Keri Hilson wasn’t that covered-up. She prefered a mini sparkling dress, a pair of chic suede shoes and a small exquisite clutch for the evening.

The singer claims she has already started working on the colletion.

I’ve started work on the collection, we are getting it together. It is in the beginning stages. Fashion is something I have always loved,” Rihanna told Grazia magazine.

I love Kate Moss. She’s just hands-down one of the baddest badasses in the land. Nobody can take her down. I really admire Kate because every photo shoot she does is different. Every time you see her there is a different energy that she puts out in whatever outfit she is wearing. I think she is amazing.”

Rihanna is very creative and sees music and designing as those spheres where she can realize herself.

She explained:

I am a very creative person, so it is another way for me to get my creativity out.”

Well, I don’t believe in those singer-designer transormations much. But if Rihanna thinks she can do that we will wait and then appreciate her work.

This time the glam event Glamour Women of the Year Awards was held at NYC’s Carnegie Hall on Monday November 9. L’Oreal Paris was the main sponsor of the awards.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas were presenters, so were Katie Couric and former President Bill Clinton, three Beatles wives, Tyra Banks, model Iman and others.

The annual Glamour Women of the Year Awards always honor a group of eclectic women, and this year was no exception.

Let’s see who are the winners of the Women of The Year Awards 2009:

1) Model Iman presented Rihanna with the award.

The 21-year-old Barbados singer Rihanna received the prestigious honor for her unique style, songs, positive role model and her work with Believe Foundation.

Rihanna was dressed in hot white gown by Stephane Rolland and completed her look with Cartier and H. Stern jewelry.

2) Tyra Banks presented tennis champion Serena Williams, who has her own Serena Williams Foundation.

Tyra said:

You can do whatever you want to do. The most important belief is self-belief.”

In 2009 female athlete Serena released an autobiography, opened a secondary school in Kenya, gave grants to college students, and won the greatest monetary prize than any female sportsman in the history of world sports.

She was in red one shoulder gown by Pamela Rolland and wore silver bangles on her hands.

3) First Lady of California Maria Shriver (John F. Kennedy’s niece) steers the California Women’s Conference. This is a growing association for female power.

She has overrided her role to encourage and give out light and help in roles of women at their muti-role lives. This year she also produced a documentary on Alzheimer’s disease, which afflicted her father, Sargent Shriver.

She was in a beautiful lace dress designed by Californian designer Monique Lhuillier.

4) Daudher of Paul McCartney, designer Stella McCartney is one of the most influential fashion designers and animal rights activists. She refuses to use leather and fur in her designs but makes amazing clothes and footwear.

Her dad wasn’t at the Awards, but her honor was presented by three Beatles wives: Yoko Ono, widow of John Lennon, Olivia Harrison, widow of George, and Ringo Starr’s wife, Barbara Starkey.

She opted for the purple short dress and jacket from her collections.

5) Comic actress Amy Poehler took her award from hands ofSaturday Night Live producer Lorne Michaels. Poehler views her work as a ruse mission to help authorize young women.

Poehler’s advice to the young women and girls:

Girls, if boys say something that’s not funny, you don’t have to laugh.”

For the Award she dressed in a sparkling gold dress by Stella McCartney.

6) Google’s Vice President of Search Product and User Experience, Marissa Mayer, who became the first female engineer at Google Inc, has increased and developed all of the company’s popular products, from Gmail to Google Earth.

She sees her real goal in bringing more women into the technology space.

Matt Lauer, host of NBC’s Today, who presented the award to Marissa Mayer said:

I discovered she had 600,000 mentions,” Lauer quipped. “Not as huge as me, but no slouch”

7) Actor Michael Douglas presented award to Susan Rice, the first female African American U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, who was also praised via TV by President Barack Obama.

She is leading a campaign at the United Nations to oblige a zero-tolerance policy on sexual violence.

She puts women’s rights at the top problems of the American agenda at the U.N.

8) Laura Ling and Euna Lee – These two American journalists, who were arrested and confined while reporting on the plight of North Korean women and ran away into China to avoid famine.

They were jailed for 140 days and were freed in August 2009

9) U.S. poet Maya Angelou, 81, doesn’t stop writing and informing the young generation. She is confidante of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, a memoirist, poet, educator and civil rights activist.

She has written about her personal life, childhood rape, teenage motherhood and racism.

10) A pediatrician, who created Worldwide Orphans Foundation, Dr. Jane Aronson received a special award.

This foundation has provided life-altering support to more than 20,000 orphans around the world.

Dr. Aronson works with adoptive parents, including Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, to take care for children and assure them that their new families can
work.

I am grateful to be a woman,” said Angelou, who won the lifetime achievement award. “I must have done something great in another
life.”

11) One Million Signatures Campaign is a group started in 2006 by a group of Iranian women to end gender disparity.

The organizers of this campaign risk their lives when asking women and men to sign a formal request demanding changes in the laws that make women second-class people.

And U.S. first lady Michelle Obama also received special recognition from Glamour.

A hallowed mother, and the granddaughter of a slave, the first Michelle Obama earned the respect of the world by unflagging normal despite the defiances of her new role.

She has shown engagement to helping the next generation of young women swell their horizons by providing them with the inspiration and information to fancy themselves as the leaders of tomorrow.

The special December issue hits newsstands November 10, and Rihanna will be honored by the magazine at the annual Glamour Women of the Year awards at Carnegie Hall on November 9.

The Umbrella singer turned up at the designer’s Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show in Paris yesterday and sat in the front row togetehr with other stars.

Besides, she was wearing a dress by Gareth Pugh. It was black with chiffon insets which exposed much of the flesh. Very bold I would say!
