As usual some trends from the previous season stay with us for another couple of months and you can wear them with dignity. And there are a few new ones that will complement our spring wardrobe.

Platform sandals
If you are a real fashionista this trend just needs to be in your wardrobe as almost every designer paid attention to it and created truly nice pieces for us to wear. They are perfect for many reasons. First, they are beautiful. They come in bright hues and original designs, from cage look to the one providing lots of coverage. Second, they are more comfortable to wear than ordinary heels. And third, they are super-glamorous and some celebrities have already been spotted wearing those.

Mary Janes
These shoes are ideal for office and the girls who simply love elegant footwear. The shoes come in various colors and can be very strict or exremely fresh and colorful. What you choose depends on you! Peep-toe Mary Janes have returned too!

Sky-high Heels
Despite all the arguments this type of shoes will always exist as there are plenty of women who are ready to suffer bunions and feet deformations to look stylish like Posh. Many brands presented high stilettos in their ranges, from classic Burberry to rock-chic DSquared2.

Kitten Heels
Although we admire the look of glamorous sky-high shoes we do think about our health. In this sense kitten heel can be attractive. And lots of women have already embraced this trend and walk freely in streets and even offices. Kitten heels are small and therefore comfortable. They are the great choice for ladies who hate flats but care about their feet.

Artsy Heels
In eveyday life we all want something simple and comfy but there are occasions when you want to stand out, to be the best, the brightest, to be the focus of attention. And in these cases artsy shoes are perfect. Alexander McQueen, Nina Richi, Gianfranco Ferre – all are known for making such footwear. And this type of shoes is always in fashion. Exclusive things are always trendy.

Wedges
Wedges are a good alternative to high heels. They can be high but stylish and comfortable. You can walk in them easily and feel fantastic. New wedges are super-modern and come in chic fabrics.

Middle-sized platforms
This type of footwear may not be very glamorous but it is exceptionally comfortable. When you are in them you feel like you are wearing flats but you don’t feel all that roughness and lumps of the ground.

Flats
Yes, flats are trendy, too. Don those as often as you like! Flat thong sandals are very hot this season as well.

High boots
These might seem to be a great contrast to flats. But actually you feel nice wearing them. The can be made of silk or lace, or be military-inspired like Jean Paul Gaultier offers.

Ankle Boots
Ankle boots have been with us for a few seasons and will definitely stay one more.Often called as “summer boots” ankle boots remain fierce and funky but fabrics have a softer edge. This season we see ankle-sandals, lace-ups, bandage-style straps, wedges, and peep-toes.

Tribal Chic
A touch of tribal is necessary in any collection to add some national coloring. Wild animal print sandals with their dramatic stitching and striking shapes do look sumptuous and can be matched to bold floral dresses or any stylish pants.

Sheer detailing
This season some designers suggest us wearing shoes that come with plastic or chiffon detailing, in fact any material that can provide the shoe with transparency. It looks interesting and sexy but I wonder whether it is comfortable.

Oxford Brogues
Boyish brogues are brought to women’s fashion. It seems that men become more feminine while women tend to be more masculine. I don’t understand this tendency. However, not everything we have given to men yet, as even brogues come with frills and ruffles.

Socks + Shoes
The most horrible trend ever, for me. But we saw lots of shoes and sandals together with socks on the runway, and it’s a definitely a trend. So, if you have no prejudice against this trend which I do have, show a rebellious streak and wear socks with your favorite sandals.

The new fall-winter collection is just another range he can be proud of. The designs are beautiful and liked by women worldwide. Fabrics are luxurious and the colors are classy.

The collection includes footwear for different weather conditions: from sandals to wear in early autumn to warm high boots to don during the lowest winter temperatures.

Although the whole collection is great there are some pieces I’d like to have in my own wardrobe. These include: open-toed high-stiletto shoes, perfect ankle boots with reptile leather embellishment and patent-leather high boots, which I love the most.

Despite the fact the collection is intended for fall the model is wearing sandals and open-toed shoes.

This makes me really happy as I always feel much frustrated when placing my favorite summer footwear back in the closet.

I’m sure lots of ladies have been waiting for the upcoming range of shoes – the result of the collaboration of Jimmy Choo and H&M – to open their purses wide.

But now I think some will do that a bit earlier to have a pair of perfect Jimmy Choo Fall shoes.

Let’s see the trendiest shapes of sandals for Summer 2009.

Though it may seem all the sandals presented here look similar there are slight details that make the pairs look different and thus belong to different groups.

1. Sandals that fix on the ankle

This group of sandals includes pairs with a massive strap or a few thin ones on the ankle. The straps are mostly fixed at the front.

Such models look great with a platform. High heel or a wedge is a must.

2. Sandals with a T-shape strap

This season a T-shape strap looks a bit different.

It became wider and is elongated down to the finger part.

3. Sandals with lots of straps

Straps crossed, of a T-shape, thin and wide, symmetric and chaotic – all of them are very trendy now. And the more straps – the trendier the sandals are.

4. Sandals with soft elastic straps

Many new models have soft elastic straps instead of hard leather straps. Black, bright or multicolored – they all look great.

And again high heel or a wedge is a must.

5. Sandals with a wide covered front part and many straps

This design is the most popular this season.

Such sandals can be very different. They look nice with high stilettos, chunky heels and wedges as well.

6. Sandals with décor and details

Massive beads, fathers, patchwork details, crystals – everything will go in Summer 2009. The only thing for you to remember is to make your appearance look harmoniously.

Such sandals are not easy to incorporate into an outfit. If you choose them to wear make sure you don’t opt for a heavily detailed dress.

So, there are lots of variations to choose from. Look carefully and find what you like best.

There are lots of open-toed models of bright hues: red, fuchsia, pink, violet.

Pastel tones are also included.

Evening shoes come in vivid tones and made of reptile leather. Looks great!

Black and white are classic. I have never seen a shoe line without at least one pair made in black or white color.

Sandals from Cesare Paciotti are of interesting design, very feminine and summery.

Some pairs are decorated with ruches, fringe and gemstones.

2009 BET Awards held on Sunday, June 28, 2009 was fabulous. Lots of celebrities got their awards and spoke about the event itself and Michael Jackson, who was the focus of the attention as everyone wanted to pay tribute for his talents.

Lots of outfits and fashionable looks were seen on the red carpet that day and now we’ll give you a short review of the best-dressed women at the event.

Let’s start from the sexiest ladies. Beyonce and Alicia Keys looked stunning in their super short dresses embellished with beads and sequins. Though the dresses were quite different they do look similar in the sense of hotness.

Tierra Marie looked fantastic in a black mini-dress with a layered bottom and black and silver platforms. Estelle, the British singer, was all puffed up in a pretty jean dress by Acne, which she paired with a white glove – a nod to Michael Jackson.

The list of super-sexy girls join LeToya Luckett in a silver and black lace mini and metallic heels and Cassie with a very daring new look.

Cassie turned up at the BET Awards wearing a very provocative, clinging dress with black boots and a single gloved hand.

Beauties in pure white were Amber Rose who wore a simple figure-hugging dress paired with bright pink pumps and a clutch and Ameri who wore quite the same type of a dress but made of different fabric. Strange and funny!

Dresses with unusual prints were chosen by Keri Hilson and Alicia Renee. Keri opted for a geometric-and-star spotted sequined tube dress and black satin pumps. While Alicia selected a black laced bustier top and bold print bubble skirt with stylish statement heels.

Glamourous women of the evening were Meagan Good and Wendy Raquel Robinson. Wendy rocked a slinky one-shoulder gold gown matched with a gold clutch and sandals.

Meagan Good wore a royal blue pencil dress with a black clutch bag and sandals.

Not-wearing-a-dress women were Tyra Banks, who looked terrific in black satin pants and a beige blouse, and Monica, who surprised everyone with her much-ruffled blouse and leather trousers.

Maxi-dress-lovers at the red carpet were Taraji P.Henson, who preferred a black floor-sweeping one-shoulder gown, and Kim Coles in a beautiful zebra-pattern gown.

Femininity was expressed in Lala Vasquez’s light lavender strapless dress and Ciara’s brown leather strapless dress with ruffled and roughed accents.

Beautiful ladies in beautiful outfits, isn’t that what we always like seeing?
