While 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards was not about fashion in any way we still can’t miss our change to discuss some of the most interesting red carpet looks. Lady Gaga was the biggest attention-grabber of all (Who would doubt that?). Her satellite-dish costumes were simply amazing (See All Gaga’s Incredible Costumes At 2011 MTV EMA!).

Katy Perry surprised everyone with her look, too. Instead of a chic ball gown she normally wears to such events the singer opted for a playful mini and a jacket over it.

Selena Gomez, who was the presenter at the 2011 MTV EMA, changed a number of lovely costumes. She wore a terrific Marchesa dress, a sparkling bodysuit, a cute mini dress, etc. (See All Selena Gomez’s outfits At 2011 MTV EMA).

Jesse J, who is a bodysuit girl, this time appeared in a beautiful Dolce & Gabbana dress on the red carpet. She looked unusual but rather pretty. However, I just couldn’t get rid of the feeling she looked much older her age (She’s 23.)

Despite the fact the 2011 MTV EMA was dedicated to music a model Bar Refaeli (See Bar Refaeli’s Full Bio And Picture Gallery) also attended it. She donned a figure-hugging mullet dress and a pair of classy shoes.

Another model and Christiano Ronaldo girlfriend, Irina Shayk also appeared on the red carpet of 2011 MTV EMA. She wore a black floor-length gown with a long split on the leg, peep-toe pumps and emerald earrings to the event.

Selena Gomez (See Selena Gomez’s picture gallery) and Justin Bieber (Read How To Copy Justin Bieber’s Style) arrived at Abduction premiere to support Taylor Lautner and Lily Collins who played leading roles in the film. Selena looked perfect in a black mini dress teamed up with sexy strappy sandals. Justin opted for a black look too to attend the event.

Taylor Lautner was the real star of the event. He took his time to pose for pictures his fans shot of him and kept smiling the entire evening. He didn’t pose with Lily Collins who plays his girlfriend in Abduction though. Despite the fact the two are rumored to be dating off-screen they refused to either comment on the affair or speak to each other.

Lily Collins looked very beautiful at the premiere of Abduction in an unusual Marc Jacobs (See Marc Jacobs’ Spring/ Summer 2012 collection) dress and red satin Brian Atwood shoes.

Among other attendees of Abduction premiere were Sigourney Weaver, Elisabeth Rohm, Ashley Richards, Daphne Joy and Bella Thorne.

Beyonce looked super chic in a bright orange dress from Lanvin Fall 2011 collection. Its flowing style made her look very very graceful. Despite announcing the baby news Beyonce still went to perform at the show sporting Dolce & Gabbana outfit with a purple glitzy tuxedo jacket from their Fall 2011 RTW collection.

Beyonce friend singer Kelly Rowland has opted for black mini dress from Falguni & Shane Peacock Fall 2011 collection with gold appliques and feathery front. It looks great on Kelly who has paired the dress with Christian Louboutin peep toe shoes.

Another best-dressed celeb was Selena Gomez who looked great in black lace Julien Macdonald mini dress with a long train. The bodice embroidery is amazing and the gold accessories add a bit of shine to the outfit. The gold gold Brian Atwood shoes perfectly match the Judith Leiber clutch and Ofira jewelry.

Katie Holmes looked relaxed and playful in her Azzedine Alaia in an intricate print that she paired with brown Proenza Schouler shoes with black lacing. I would opt for other shoes here but she still looks great.

Zoe Saldana looks gorgeous in her mini Barbara Bui dress from Fall 2011 at 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. The dress/tunic has an embellished top and a plunging neck. The actress also wore Barbara Bui reptile skin sandals, black Lanvin clutch and Ofira jewelry.

In one of her interviews for Seventeen Magazine Selena Gomez opened up about what makes her style. She said she is obsessed with black color which she loves so much that her mother even stopped her from wearing it.

Selena Gomez said:

The color that I usually gravitate towards most would be black, to be honest. I probably have picked out so many black dresses that my mom has stopped me from wearing, because I love that color.”

Talking about the use of accessories Selena Gomez said she stuck to the principle ‘less is more’:

My favorite fashion tip would probably be ‘less is more,’ when it comes to accessories.”

The actress also mentioned she had someone to help her in choosing clothing for red carpet events:

When I’m picking out a dress for an event, I don’t really spend too much time on it. I have a wonderful lady that I work with who kind of knows the style I like, so we pick out the top ten, and we’ll sit down and I’ll see which one I think is pretty. I find that I get in trouble when I overthink it.”

For red carpet events Selena Gomez usually opts for long chic gowns which accentuate her wonderful slim figure. She adds just a few accessories and always ends up looking gorgeous.

Sometimes she wears cocktail dresses to special events or even shorts or pants. But high-heeled shoes are a must, though in real life she prefers wearing flats.

Justin and Selena were holding their hands, smiling, talking and staying close to each other the whole evening. They even co-ordinated their outfits. Just Go With It actress Brooklyn Decker hit the red carpet wearing a sumptuous Joy Cioci dress that she paired with jewelry from Diamond in the Rough. The dress looked very feminine and sexy on the girl.

Naomi Watts arrived at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in an elegant Zac Posen gown.

Madonna was accompanied with her daughter Lourdes Leon to the star-studded party. Both ladies looked great. Madonna donned a daring see-through outfit while Lourdes wore one of her own designs from Material Girl collection.

Charlize Theron looked incredibly beautiful in a white one-shoulder Atelier Versace gown with crystal detailing on the bodice.

Red Riding Hood star, Amanda Seyfried also opted for a white design to attend the Vanity Fair Oscar party. She wore a tempting ruffle collar dress by Valentino that revealed her sexy black lace bra underneath.

Glee girl, Lea Michele sported a fabulous-looking Roberto Cavalli dress that she finished with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Sergio Rossi shoes, and Swarovski clutch.

Jessica Biel went for a luxurious gown by Atelier Versace dress to shine on the red carpet of the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

Victoria’s Secret model and Transformers star, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley couldn’t appear at such a big event without her handsome boyfriend Jason Statham. The couple looked amazing together.

Nicole Kidman, whose impeccable style I admire a lot, appeared at the Grammys wearing a feminine Jean Paul Gaultier dress.

Justin Bieber’s girlfriend Selena Gomez sparkled on the red carpet of the 2011 Grammys in a cute J. Mendel dress that she teamed up with Lorainne Schwartz jewelry, Brian Atwood shoes and Judith Leiber clutch.

Ciara looked incredibly sexy in a blue Emilio Pucci dress with cut outs. The singer opted for Givenchy shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry to don to the star-studded event.

Eva Longoria chose the black-and-white Ashi dress for the 2011 Grammys. Her black Brian Atwood shoes complemented the dress perfectly.

Jennifer Lopez went for an extremely short Emilio Pucci dress, Christian Louboutin spike shoes, and a crystal clutch by Daniel Swarovski for the glam event.

Katy Perry surprised everyone with the choice of her dress for the 2011 Grammy Awards. The gown looked very unusual considering the fact it featured a pair of snow-white wings and a studded bustier. Casadei heels and Thomas Sabo jewelry completed the look.

The girl who surprised me was Katie Cassidy who looked fabulous in her Georges Chakra black lace dress. It was her first winning moment on the red carpet that cemented her style icon status.

Camilla Belle walked the red carpet in a demure but very elegant Kimberly Ovitz creation. The film star, who recently topped the Annual Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Famous Faces, teamed up her option with a Maia N. clutch and Stuart Weitzman shoes.

Glee actress Lea Michele wore a pretty white dress from The Row at 2010 Hollywood Style Awards. The girl completed her look with Fendi bag, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and Christian Louboutin shoes.

Zooey Deschanel’s fashion option at 2010 Hollywood Style Awards was disappointing. Despite the fact the little black dress always looks good Zooey wore it too simply. Total black didn’t work well.

Disney star Selena Gomez, on the contrary, looked her best at 2010 Hollywood Style Awards in a cute sparkling Max Azria Atelier frock.

Just like Selena Gomez Victoria Justice and Kaley Cuoco also donned glitzy dresses.

While Victoria chose to wear a mini dress, Kaley strutted the red carpet in a floor-length shoulder-revealing Oday Shakar gown.

Taylor Swift, who is usually very feminine and elegant is just on the 8th place while Rihanna is only the 40th on this list. Kristen Stewart has one of the most horrible styles I have ever seen and she is the 7th while Selena Gomez who is such a glamorous girl is on the 28 position.
