Serena Williams says her clothes are so popular because of their high quality and affordable price.
The world-famous tennis player launched her debut collection in April this year on television channel HSN. And all the items were sold in three hours.
She said:
First of all, everything in the collection is under $100. And everything you get from me is great quality. I think for those prices and this quality, it is a no-brainer.”
Serena admits her favourite piece in the collection is a ruched dress. But she does feel naked when putting it on.
She commented:
When I made it, I thought it was going to be nice, but when I put it on, I couldn’t believe it. It was ruched in all the right places – it feels like you don’t have anything on.”
Serena also says her personality is what influences the sales much.
She said:
I think on live television people really get to see my personality and how really I feel about clothes and fashion.”

Every year Glamour magazine honors women who make our world better: in entertainment, business, sports, fashion, science and politics.
This time the glam event Glamour Women of the Year Awards was held at NYC’s Carnegie Hall on Monday November 9. L’Oreal Paris was the main sponsor of the awards.
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas were presenters, so were Katie Couric and former President Bill Clinton, three Beatles wives, Tyra Banks, model Iman and others.
The annual Glamour Women of the Year Awards always honor a group of eclectic women, and this year was no exception.
Let’s see who are the winners of the Women of The Year Awards 2009:
1) Model Iman presented Rihanna with the award.
The 21-year-old Barbados singer Rihanna received the prestigious honor for her unique style, songs, positive role model and her work with Believe Foundation.
Rihanna was dressed in hot white gown by Stephane Rolland and completed her look with Cartier and H. Stern jewelry.
2) Tyra Banks presented tennis champion Serena Williams, who has her own Serena Williams Foundation.
Tyra said:
You can do whatever you want to do. The most important belief is self-belief.”

Glamour magazine named the most glamourous women of the year.
On the top of this list is singer Rihanna, with Glamour honoring her for her style, her songs, her work with the Believe Foundation and for being a positive role model.
Looking very hot, Rihanna was shot in New York City by Matthias Vriens-McGrath in Balmain, Gucci and Jason Wu.
She poses in a sparkling minidress.
The 21-year-old “Woman of the Year” talks about her life after the Chris Brown incident, her message to young women and her new album.

July 15, 2009 was a geat day for sport stars due to the The 17th annual ESPY Awards 2009.
Introduced by the cable sports channel ESPN in 1993, the annual ESPY Awards allows sports fans worldwide to join in an online vote for their favorites in such categories as Best Male Athlete, Best Female Athlete, Best Coach/Manager, and Team of the Year.
A lot of 2008 Olympians and famous sportsmen, and celebrities came to the ESPN hosted awards at the the Nokia Theatre in Los Angele.
Samuel L. Jackson hosted the 2009 ESPY Awards, while such stars as Demi Moore, Rashida Jones and Zachary Quinto, and also Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Nastia Liukin, Dara Torres, Wyclef Jean, Misty May-Treanor and her beach volleyball partner Kerri Walsh, Bruce Jenner and his daughter Kendall Jenner, Kristi Yamaguchi, Jaime Pressly, Kendra Wilkinson, Hank Baskett, Kurt Warner and his wife Brenda Warner, Venus Williams, Candy Spelling, Anna Rawson, Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa Bryant, Jeff Gordon and his wife Ingrid Vandebosch and others attended.
Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr was super sexy in a white floor-grazing Calvin Klein halter. She took a white clutch and accessories with diamond-shaped earrings.
