Fashion for shoes is not as changeable as for clothing but every season we see certain styles come and go. It is normal and logical. For Spring/ Summer 2012 designers have offered plenty of designs to choose from. And it was really hard to pick out only 6 collections from dozens other lovely ranges. But these 6 are reflections of my own style and they are the sources of inspiration and dreams for me (Don’t think I’m a shallow blonde! I just love shoes so much I can barely breathe when I see just another perfect pair!).

So, let’s start – TOP 6 SHOE COLLECTIONS FOR SPRING/ SUMMER 2012:

I would start from Chirstian Louboutin shoes. They are the best for me. I know you would say it is banal but these shoes are really special. Yes, they aren’t very comfortable, and those heels are often hard to walk in but they are worth the pain we suffer. The designer was right. Manolo Blahnik shoes are fabulous. They are more diverse in styles and colors and are perfectly comfy. Maybe they don’t look as impressive as Loubooutins but they certainly do look more feminine and delicate. See Manolo Blahnik Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection.

Gaetano Perrone has released just one collection under his own name but it has already found its fans. It is not surprising at all considering the fact he has been creating footwear for Alexander McQueen for a few years. His shoes are spectacular – extravagant but incredibly beautiful in design they will soon appear on the red carpet as often as shoes of other exclusive brands. I was impressed with Nicholas Kirkwood’s first footwear collection and immediately remembered the name of a young but very talented designer. D&G Spring/ Summer 2012 collection seems a little out-of-place here due to the fact it is casual and shoes presented in it are far from being cute or elegant but don’t we all from time to time turn to comfier styles – flats, wedges, even sneakers? Halle Berry Launches Her Own Shoe Line

If a couple of years ago celebrities believed having their own fragrance was cool, today they all long for having their own shoe line. Following in the footsteps of Cheryl Cole, Rachel Bilson, and Jessica Simpson Halle Berry has designed a collection of sandals named the 5ths Avenue by Halle Berry.

To produce the footwear Halle Berry teamed up with German retailer Deichmann Shoes. The collection that will go on sale in March includes 40 limited edition shoes with peep toes and wedge heels, sandals with straps and high heels as well as sling sandals on wedge heels.

Halle Berry says creating this collection was important for her:

Women have always loved shoes. It’s like if your hair is not right and your shoes are not right, the woman is not right. If both of them are right, you’re pretty much OK.”

She also mentioned that shoes are indicative of a woman’s mood and plans:

And shoes are a statement. They can be very sexy; they can say something about where you are in the day; they can say what your mood is; they give you a chance to accessorize.”

The actress told she had sort of obsession with shoes:

And I’m a girl that loves to change my shoes all the time. It’s an expression of who you are really. I’m a girl if I find a shoe that I really like I like to get them in all colours. I’m big on that.

Hale Berry also spoke about the Deichmann commercial to promote her shoe line:

I like the concept of it. It really relates to my life and who I am as a person and what I do for a living. And I think there’s kind of a fun element to it. And it also speaks to my love of shoes.”

The German brand Halle Berry has collaborated with to create her collection of shoes is also more than happy to work with the star. The company’s owner Heinrich Deichmann said:

We are very pleased that Halle Berry is our new partner. She is an internationally renowned artist and a global style icon.”

Berry isn’t the first celebrity to sign a contract with Deichmann. Cindy Crawford, Pussycat Dolls and the Sugababes used to promote its shoes.

Marc Jacobs Glues Shoes To Models’ Feet To Avoid Oops Moment On Runway

If you are not sure you can walk in your shoes because they are too big or ill-fitting there is a way you can secure them properly. You can glue them. Seriously. If Marc Jacobs does it why can’t we? Of course, this is one-time trick, but don’t we sometimes buy shoes to wear them just once?

Marc Jacobs’ long-time friend and show stylist Katie Grand has revealed one of designer’s secrets to Vogue readers recently saying that wig glue is used to secure shoes to models’ feet. This is done to ensure girls don’t lose shoes on the runway while showcasing the collection at the fashion week.

Marc Jacobs’ shows are usually perfectly organized and cost a fortune, so if anything goes wrong it can ruin months of hard work and make the huge investment pointless, because people will end up discussing the oops moment rather than the collection.

Maybe it is too cruel to use such techniques on models who have to walk a few shows daily but none of beauties actually complain.

Footwear and accessory designer of Alexander McQueen brand Gaetano Perrone has launched a debut shoe collection under his own name for Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion season. The collection is unusual and luxurious. Every pair in it is a work of art.

Gaetano Perrone Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection comes in neutral and pastel colors. Designs are feminine and elegant, very classy. Materials used are matte and shining leather, suede and snakeskin. Details that make the range even more unique are tiny sequins and removable fabric and leather flowers as well as heels of incredible beauty.

Cheryl Cole Under Fire For Making Poor Quality Shoes

If you are a celebrity and design something or just say you design something and give your name to it, make sure the quality of your product is good enough because if it is not all the fire will be at you, not the people who actually made the product. Cheryl Cole seems to have been fully unaware of that as her shoe collection, which has been recently unveiled, has gone under huge criticism for its poor quality.

People would probably be less angry if Cheryl Cole didn’t mention she had been involved into every aspect of making shoes. But she did. Besides, dissatisfied customers remember the singer saying the ‘signature shoe’ (referring to the black studded pair of high heels Cheryl wears on our picture above) represented her. And that doesn’t characterize the star well.

Several shoppers who bought that very ‘signature’ pair had to return them to the store after discovering a fault. Stylistpick, the brand Cheryl teamed up to create the shoe collection, was immediately informed about the issue and sent out an email warning the customers about possibility of stitching on the rear to become ‘unattached’.

Sheena Smith, one of the buyers, told The Sun:

I love Cheryl Cole’s style and thought the shoes looked fantastic on the website. When I got them, there was immediately a problem with the heel. The packaging was fantastic but the quality of the shoes was awful. I was really disappointed I couldn’t wear them to my work Christmas party.”

Cheryl Cole’s shoe collection was launched earlier this month.

If I were asked to describe Prada shoe collection for Spring/ Summer 2012 fashion season I would say ‘impetuosity’ and ‘brightness’. The entire collection includes elements which remind us of incredible speed and adrenaline rush that one experiences while riding on such speed.

Prada shoe collection for Spring/ Summer 2012 is very diverse. You can find heeled shoes, wedges, sandals, and even flip flops. All are made in patent or snakeskin leather.

The color scheme of Prada shoe collection for Spring/ Summer 2012 is varied. There are bright red, orange and yellow pieces as well as pale blue, nude and white. But only few pairs come monotone. All the others feature combination of different hues.

Maybe it just seems to me that every new season Christian Louboutin presents even more attractive designs or I’m simply falling more and more in love with his shoes, I don’t know… But the Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection is the perfect for me.

Christian Louboutin Spring/ Summer 2012 collection almost entirely consists of shoes for special occasions, those which come adorned with sequins, beading and crystals. Some are even made with thorn details.

Made with the use of matt and patent leather, snakeskin and satin the shoes all come in classic shapes and rather bright colors. There are pink, aquamarine, yellow, red and even multicolored shoes.

My favorite pair in Christian Louboutin Spring/ Summer 2012 collection is the golden one with beautiful bow-element with encrusted jewels in front. This design comes in two styles – classic pumps (which have won my heart the moment I saw them) and flats.

Rachel Bilson has been praised for her fashion sense for so long that it is quite natural she has become confident enough to design her own shoe range.

Rachel Bilson, who is a regular at fashion shows and used to be a model for Magnum advert directed by Karl Lagerfeld, has launched an affordable shoe collection that is said to be of very high quality. The footwear is reported to be made of real leather and suede and will cost under $100.

Besides, Rachel Bilson is going to launch ShoeMint.com this Friday, a fashion website which will sell her designs.

Manolo Blahnik shoes don’t actually need any praise because we all know how wonderful they are. But it is really difficult to resist saying at least a few good words about them. If we take the Spring/ Summer 2012 collection what we have to pay attention to is the variety of styles and abundance of bright colors.

Styles in Manolo Blahnik Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection differ from flat sandals which are perfect for walking long distances to sky-high heels that look wonderful with luxurious evening dresses. Majority of shoes come in classic forms and with an average length of heel. But there are more eccentric designs which can become the focus of outfits rather than the finishing details.

Manolo Blahnik Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe collection features a lot of Spring/ Summer 2012 shoe trends: transparency, floral print, bright colors, unusual heels and color blocking.

If we speak about the colors, the scheme is totally crazy. The designer has used neon yellow, blue, red, green, pink hues as well as neutral black, beige, and white tones.

Comfort of Manolo Blahnik shoes deserves special mentioning. Unlike Christian Louboutin shoes Blahnik’s creations are always very comfortable to wear. In a recent interview to Vogue the designer said:

I totally agree with him. I love shoes more than anything in fashion but when I can’t walk in them more than 15 minutes I feel miserable.
