Croatian ad agency Bruketa & Zinic have made a strange choice of place for the presentation of ’s Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

The press was invited to the Zagreb Zoo to see the Pumus trendycus line unveiled. Journalists were asked to sign a waiver stating they would approach the cage at their own risk.

The cage was draped in a red-color, -logo’d sheet.

There was a placard in front of the cage which said the “beast” was “extremely soft, comfortable, adjusted for any weather conditions, while also being gentle and robust, and making any wearer appear sexy.”

When the cage was unveiled, everyone could see that instead of real beasts models were inside, demonstrating new lines, including Motorsport, Running, Sailing, Woman, Urban Mobility and Golf.

The idea seems interesting, at least it attracted a lot of attention from the press.

The addition of I “Heart” Ronson is a stunning example of this initiative,” said Ken Hicks, president and chief merchandising officer of JCPenney. “ is one of today’s most innovative and adored new designers, and she has an exceptional vision of what our trendy customer wants. We are thrilled to be able to bring her unique style to JCPenney.”

The deserves special credit. The idea behind it is people and puppets. The advertisement features people with strings tying their feet, legs and hands to puppets. It’s not immediately clear who actually plays the leading role – a human being or a puppet.
