Leona Lewis is a strict vegetarian who refuses to eat or wear any animal products. And this makes it really hard to find clothing for her because all she wants should be ethical.

Moreover, Leona loves fashion and this makes it even more difficult. She often chooses her outfits in Stella McCartney’s ranges but her dream is to create her own line that will include clothing that she would love to wear.
She said:
I’m trying to make that happen as soon as I can. It’s a challenge – mostly with shoes – as I don’t wear any leather and am very ethical about what I wear. I love wearing Stella McCartney, but one day I hope to have to my own line of ethical clothes and accessories.”
Now Leona works on her looks. She likes getting “creative” and her team helps her a lot.
She told vogue.com:
I really enjoy fashion and I love being creative. I work with a couple of stylists but I love fashion so am always looking online and in magazines for inspiration. I have so much fun working with my hair, make-up and styling team – we are always laughing. I do get a bit nervous though as I start having to get in the car, but once I’m on the carpet I really enjoy myself.”

Anna Paquin is very particular about what to wear on the red carpet. At Golden Globes 2010 event she wore a perfect-looking Stella McCartney gown and she had spent lots of time choosing it. She admits she must have tried about a hundred dresses before she made her choice.

She said:
I tried on about a 100. I’m probably exaggerating.”
And it’s not only dress option that was so time-consuming. The 27-year-old actress also had had a battle selecting her accessories, before she decided on vintage Stephen Russell jewellery and a handbag designed by British designer Alexander McQueen.
I wonder whether all stars are so insecure with what to wear to glamorous events.

Celebrities sometimes surprise me a lot. One of the most recent is Heidi Range who has confessed she loves bargaining when buying clothes.

The person whose records with the Sugababes are sold in millions of copies haggles over the price! What is it? Greediness? Passion? Economy?
The blonde admits she just can’t resist a bargain and always makes attempts to negotiate over the cost of her designer outfits.
She said:
If I see something I really love, I try to sweet-talk the sales staff to put it away for me, so I can get it at a discount price. I’m really into Chanel handbags. I’ve got six now and I’m still counting. They’re totally classic. My Stella McCartney blanket coat is a favourite. My boyfriend bought it for me several years ago. It was expensive, even at the sale price, but it was last forever. I wear it every winter.”
The beauty also mentioned her weakness for shoes. She told she could spend a whole day shopping for chic pairs of heels.

Yesterday night (December 9) the British Fashion Awards 2009 were held at the royal Courts of Justice. The ceremony that marked the finale to the British Fashion Council’s 25th anniversary celebrations was sponsored by Swarovski.
The event was wholly dedicated to fashion and those people who have contributed to its development within the last 25 years. Over 500 people arrived including industry leaders, celebrities, designers, retailers, models and journalists.

Lots of celebrity women appeared on the red carpet wearing sumptuous outfits. Singer-turned designer Victoria Beckham wore one of her own creations – a floor-sweeping silk crepe Eighties-style gown with crystal embroidery on the shoulderpads. She looked gorgeous as always.
The Bristish supermodel Kate Moss opted for a similar-to-Posh’s dress – a sheer black Flamenco-style tiered dress with a super-long train. To cover her dignity a bit Kate donned a black blazer. Beautiful!

Bond-girl Olga Kurylenko looked stunning in a short black dress and a bolero, which she paired with black suede pumps and a clutch.
Designer Myleene Klass looked absolutely fabulous in a black frock with sheer sleves and a pair of perfect red shoes.
The other two girls in black were Eva Herzigova and Daisy Lowe who both rocked wonderful long gowns with cutaways and long splits.

Rising star in modelling business Amber le Bon sported a black mini and a blazer together with a pair of grey pumps and a white bag.

Stella McCartney has teamed up with Morrissey to work on a leather-free line of footwear. Both the designer and the singer are long-time vegetarians and want their upcoming range to represent their views.

Though the project is in the early stages yet there are so many talks about it in the news. Stella hopes it will be launched next year.
The fashion designer said:
I’m working with Morrissey on a line of leather-free shoes which I’m really excited about. We are still in the early stages, but the shoes could be launched next year.”
This isn’t the only venture Stella is to go for. It was recently revealed that she was in talks with Leona Lewis to make an animal friendly fashion range.

As well as Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney Michael Kors claims his pieces are timeless and one can wear them forever. This is also the reason why designer could have survived the recession.

The renowned fashion designer believes sales of his clothing line have not dropped during the ecoomic downturn because he has always worked hard to create designs that don’t become out-of-date.
He said:
What has happened with the economy has re-enforced the things that I always thought. The idea that something should be unexpected but at the same time timeless, the fact that I think that most clothes should be seasonless. Things have to be versatile.”
Michael is one of those designers whose popularity rises day by day. Maybe it is due to the fact he makes things that are sometimes eccentric but always good-looking and fashionably universal.

Leona Lewis is one of those few celebrities who doesn’t have her own fashion line. And no wonder she decided to join the others and create something really stylish.
Besides, the line Leona is currently working will be animal-friendly because the singer has been an animal lover all her life and cannot even think of wearing suede, leather or fur.

The collection will be launched through fellow animal lover Stella McCartney.
Leona said:
I’m on a mission. I’d love to promote a line of non-leather bags and shoes that are affordable. I think more needs to be available and not so expensive. There’s so much I want to do. I’ve always wanted to have my own fashion line, and that’s something I want to focus on next year.”
Leona has been a vegetarian for years and is a public supporter of PETA. This is what brings Leona even closer to Stella.
The source added:
Leona and Stella get on like a house on fire. They met at the recent Children In Need charity show at London’s Royal Albert Hall. They are both vegetarians, don’t wear leather and are huge animal lovers. The line would be very animal friendly.”
To tell you the truth I expect a lot from this girl. She is knows fashion and feels style. So, the collection will be impressive, no doubt.
